How much of a raise did Michelle Obama get at that hospital, after her husband became a senator? As I recall, it was like, doubled, from $150,000 to $300,000, for some kind of public affairs job. I’d like to hear what a Pay Czar would say about that.

You forgot the Parenting Czar! This one will tell us what school to send our kids to, what time they go to bed, what they should wear, what they should eat, and who to hang around with. Oh, and of course, what their parents are doing, and talking about.

Ogabe needs the czars, he needs a legion of fall-guys to take the blame when his disastrous policies inevitably fail.

Ogabe also needs people to do his mental labor for him, he doesn’t have a clue how to do anything so he creates these czars to do the intellectual heavy lifting.

Bishop is right on point with this. When something goes right, Obama can stand up there and say, “My team worked long hours to pull this off!” giving himself legitimacy.

When something goes wrong (and there will be a lot more of those) He can say, “Well, they tried, but their best efforts were not enough, so I have accepted their resignations.”

This is the same old pattern of Leftism. The Soviet Commissars of Agriculture who failed year after year to extract more food from the Ukrainians and so were taken out and shot, only to be replaced with a new Commissars. No one ever thinks to free the people, or enforce property rights.
As each of these commissars fail, the free market alternative will be ignored. GM will fail, but the CAFE standards will be maintained, no matter who dies because of it.

Because we are serving the greater good, don’cha know. Always the greater good.
