Today, on the Ed Morrissey Show (3 pm ET), Rob Wasinger returns to discuss the Sonia Sotomayor pick and how Republicans can stand firm against it. We’ll also get an update on his campaign in Kansas’ CD-01.

In the second half, Dr. Sally Satel of the American Enterprise Institute will discuss the ethics and potential of a compensation system for live kidney donors. We’ll talk about the costs already incurred by the US for maintenance of end-stage renal disease (ESRD), how many people die in the vain wait for a cadaver donor each year, and the implications of the medical tourism that creates. Dr. Satel has written a new book, When Altruism Isn’t Enough, detailing the argument, and it’s a personal issue for both of us; Dr. Satel is a kidney-transplant recipient, as is the First Mate.
