Yeah, Andrea, you go do your homework.

If you haven't done it by now, then you should be FIRED.

I'm convinced you know damn well what the facts are. You are deliberately using the perceptions of the ill-informed to perpetuate the fog of misconceptions that the Left has used to attack the prior administration. WHICH MEANS YOU SHOULD BE FIRED.

If you owe the American people anything for your income as a reporter, it is integrity.

You're a complete moral failure.

The claim about al-Qaeda having a “relationship” with Iraq was deliberately overblown and based on nothing but tenuous and flimsy evidence, if you can even dignify it that much. Cheney, Rice and others hyped it so much to better manipulate Americans by conflating 9/11 with Saddam Hussein. The truth was that Saddam Hussein and Iraq weren’t anything even remotely close to a threat to the U.S. physically. What Cheney was most concerned about was the geo-politics of the oil involved, as usual.

starfleet_dude on June 5, 2009 at 2:36 PM

And here I thought it had something to do with Abu Musab al-Zarqawi being sheltered in Iraq prior to the Iraq War.
Even that ignores Saddam's broader support for terrorism, in the form of thousands of dollars given to the families of suicide bombers.

The problem with people like you is that you can't admit when someone has a good point, and you try to give yourself the moral high ground by falsely accusing your opponents of lying.

It won't fly outside of the echo chamber, AKA the media. It's certainly possible to argue that Iraq was a wrong decision on multiple grounds, but you won't settle for that. You have to lie and smear the name of good men who tried to keep the people of this country safe.

You're the children of Joseph Wilson, who falsely claimed:
a) that Wilson was sent by Dick Cheney to investigate the claim
b) that Wilson found the claim was false
c) that Cheney of course saw Wilson's report priving it was false
d) that Bush therefore lied about Iraq seeking uranium from Nigeria in a State of the Union address
e) that Cheney outed his wife as a covert CIA operative as revenge

Every bit of the above was false, but the dishonest media claims it as true to this day.

The real truth is that Bush and Cheney alike were truthful the entire time, and they have a bunch of lowlife dishonest reprobates out to dishonor their reputations with these false accusations. And here you are, joining that infamous crowd.

While we're talking about truth that can't seem to get through the media filter, Saddam had WMD's. We haven't been able to find the stockpiles, but we've found lots of traces left behind, and he actually used chemical weapons against Iran and against the Kurds. The only real question left is, did he hide them very well, or move them out of the country. The notion that he never had them is the one explanation we can definitely rule out. The notion that he destroyed them without telling anybody, when it almost certainly would have kept him from being invaded, is nearly as preposterous.

It WAS overblown....by your side. Not having much of a legitimate argument(as usual), liberals had to resort to making one up(as usual).

So you have debuked your own "evil Cheney oil link" with your own comments... brilliant.

The fashion stuff - that's rich.

In the event you ever meet a woman - keep that shit to yourself... but we know thats not how you roll. I am fascinated by gay mens love for female clothing. You can't wear it, nor can you get "excited" by it. What's the point? And when is the last time a women got dressed up to impress the gay man audience?

Michelle Obama may be no Grace Jones in the sleeveless department, but she's still got plenty of style.

Yeah, look how cheap oil has gotten since we invaded.

That has more to do with China and India's economic rise than anything else. We've pretty much found the oil that's cheapest to get already, and if we want more as a planet it's going to cost more to get out of the ground. Thoughts about somehow keeping the oil in the Middle East for ourselves forget that the Chinese can simply buy it elsewhere and thus drive the global price up anyway.

The claim about al-Qaeda having a "relationship" with Iraq was deliberately overblown and based on nothing but tenuous and flimsy evidence, if you can even dignify it that much. Cheney, Rice and others hyped it so much to better manipulate Americans by conflating 9/11 with Saddam Hussein. The truth was that Saddam Hussein and Iraq weren't anything even remotely close to a threat to the U.S. physically. What Cheney was most concerned about was the geo-politics of the oil involved, as usual.

I have to admire Liz Cheney. She's definitely emerging as a badly needed Pub pit-bull.

Liz's carrying water for our thumb sucking PC elected politicians that are being paid for being silent (sarcasm). I hope she runs for congress.

Even dudes are allowed to have a fashion sense.

Not one that specific.

Deciding to wear a green dress at all doesn’t speak well of Liz Cheney’s decision-making ability. She’d probably choose wear a red dress to see the Pope.

I can only hope you're joking, as I don't know you well enough either way.

It’s spelled “awe”, not “Ah”. Which if you’re trying to make a point about intellect would be appropriate.

starfleet_dude on June 5, 2009 at 11:41 AM

It's also "you're" instead of "your" but why bother with correcting grammar online? He wasn't calling you stupid, just arrogant.

Thanks for lying to we, the American people, Dick.

That's not a lie. There was a relationship with them. That was Liz's point. That doesn't mean they planned 9/11 together. That's a separate argument used to undermine Cheney.

Losing the avocado-y lime green dress would be nice. I mean, it’s soooo 1970s, and not in a good way.

Oh, and for the record:

WASHINGTON (CNN) June 1st, 2009 -- Former Vice President Dick Cheney said Monday that he does not believe Saddam Hussein was involved in the planning or execution of the September 11, 2001, attacks.

Which makes this no longer operative:

Cheney said on June 17, 2004 that the evidence was "overwhelming" that al Qaeda had a relationship with Hussein's regime in Iraq, and said media reports suggesting that the 9/11 commission has reached a contradictory conclusion were "irresponsible."

Thanks for lying to we, the American people, Dick.
