If you look closely, and watch the video several times, Obama’s mouth is fairly obscured. But his expression can be made out, and the movement of his hand in conjunction with what he’s saying, more closely resembles someone standing at the King’s side, introducing the members of his staff by name. His hand is merely being used as a pointer, pointing to the staff member and waving them over to the King to be greeted, as he introduces each one by name for the King’s benefit.

It’s a nothing, and a lame nothing at that. Ms.Underestimated kinda misread the whole situation, seeing only what she had hoped was happening. She missed it by a mile.

KendraWilder I agree to a point. I didn’t recognize the staffers at first, but I stand by my post partially. Obama using his hand to gesture “welcome” of his staff (of which I only recognized 2) is fine and all that, but Obama is left-hand dominant. His continued right-hand thrust outward seemed more than a “here’s my ….” than some think. A right-hand shake is universally the correct handshake, but since Obama is left-hand dominant, why didn’t he use his left hand to gesture to “here’s my staffer, XYZ…”?

And even the 4th guy in the line shook his hand, and the others did not – Obama rather looked dejected, pulling his hand back to his side as if to hide it. I still think there’s more to this than Obama intro’ing his “peeps” to the king.

Just my opinion.

I don’t like the man at all, and I resent what he’s doing to my country. But we really ought to be careful how we characterize his actions given how so many of his fellow Democrats were so quick for eight years to mischaracterize and misjudge W’s actions at the drop of the hat.

Let’s not fall into that trap, puleeeze! We’re better than that, and we’ve a long and tough enough battle as it is trying to wrest control of our beloved America back from the dastardly idjiots who want to ruin it and convert it to a socialistic country.

To do that we need “cred” in order to win back the moderates and independents, and knee-jerk erroneous reactions to inconsequential actions will cost us in the long run if we’re not sharper and more astute about sizing up what’s happening at these important foreign policy events.
