It is a surreal world we live in, where a man like Clarence Thomas is hated by an entire political spectrum, for the simple reason that he is a black man who does not act black enough. The argument that there is such a thing as a black behavior is racist, and yet the people use levy the charge on Thomas shamelessly cry that everyone is racist but them. Has anyone ever done a study on how much brain damage normal people can get from talking politics with liberals?

There’s a Percy L. Julian High School in Chicago.
In 1985 when I was a student at the Chicago Academy for the Arts we rented their auditorium for our end of the year showcase. During the show some of our equiptment got stolen.
I can only imagine that it would be worse now.

Or trying to be something he’s not. Everytime I listen to Obama I picture him sitting in his room at Harvard listening to the audio tapes of Rev. Wright he brought along so that he could learn to mimic his speech patterns. Did Barry stand in front of his mirror, practicing his “God Damn Amerikkka . . .” over and over again?

I really don’t think Obama went to church. He picked Wright’s establishment for political reasons. That’s all. He’s a relativistic humanist.

It was my impression from the video that they simply didn’t recognize him, and even though I know who he is and admire him, I often forget what he looks like and would hardly be able to point out every justice in a line up.

I wouldn’t read too much into this.

Also want to point at that the story appears to indicate they didn’t recognize Thomas on the plane, not that they were unaware that Clarence Thomas is a Justice. They did realize who he was during the flight- whether he told them I’m not sure.

Not sure I’d recognize somebody I saw in robes in the media if he was wearing street clothes, or believe it was him sitting beside me in coach either.

Besides being a truly decent man, Clarence Thomas has a very inspiring personal story. The story of his humble beginnings is something that the state run media has carefully kept under wraps whenever making reference to him or his accomplishments. It’s instructive how the reverse is true whenever they make reference to Judge Sotomayor.

Small wonder that these young men had no idea who Judge Thomas was when they met him.

Great story, but somewhat of a shame that those two young men did not know who he was. I suppose the Supreme Court or Thomas’ biography was not a part of their gubmint school curriculum.

That they don’t see their own lack of class in doing so is a bit satisfying.

Good story, Justice Thomas seems like a good man to get to know.
