We Republicans might be in the wilderness right now, but Rubio is like a campfire, burning brightly. Marco Rubio is a leader and I intend to measure his words to his actions. We already know what happens when people only listen to words and refuse to consider ones actions.

I’m from MN and I envy you Floridians who have a choice in Marco Rubio. Lucky ducks.

Marco Rubio was a breath of fresh air and this was a must see program today. If you missed it, I hope you will listen to the interview as soon as possible. I am so impressed with his conservative principles and his passion for leading as a conservative. If you live in Florida, you are one blessed individual to have a candidate of this caliber running for your senator. Ed, I sincerely hope you will have Marco Rubio on again as the primary season progresses. Thank you Marco Rubio and Ed Morrissey! (-;

“Quite attractive”? The guy’s a total stud!

Nothing in particular against Crist, who wouldn’t be a bad choice if Rubio weren’t in the running.

But the GOP is steeped in incurable stupidity if it really is wasting its resources throwing them behind Crist when 2009 isn’t even half over yet, as if it’s desperate to cut Rubio off at the pass.

Watch the Rubio video at the link in Ed’s piece. Just watch it.

Then tell me they haven’t lost their minds at the NRSC.

He is a hit with the younger generation. The fact that he actually uses Facebook and Twitter and updates them himself has gone a long way. He’s “cool” and doesn’t need to be “hip.” He spoke at my University and everybody loved him. The next day everyone’s Facebook profile picture was them with Marco. He is charismatic, enthusiastic, and a great speaker. At the event he didn’t use notes and he received thunderous applause from a crowded room. He has that great combination of being appealing/amiable and intelligent.

We can expect great things from Rubio.

Please ask Rubio about his thoughts on the 2008 election, particularly McCain and Palin. I thought it was interesting since most of the Cuban American community voted either for McCain or Giuliani, he chose Mike Huckabee. Why did he and not the others?

that got me hooked. it’s his farewell speech in the florida legislature. no notes, no TOTUS (or “FLotus”?), just 7 1/2 minutes of what america really means.

the guy has ‘charisma’. i watched that, and signed up immediately on his website (and i hate spam mail even). never been to florida other than vacation to the ‘redneck riviera’ panhandle as a kid, but i’d give him a few bucks if he has a shot of winning in 2010.
