I guess this means the “Hussein” comment that O’Reilly smeared us with last week wasn’t so offensive after all. Ah well. Enjoy talking about it now because, come 2012, it’ll be safely verboten once again.
You can imagine Tapper writing the headline to his post, thinking, “I know Drudge is going to love this. I know it.” And sure enough. That’s the mark of a smart blogger, folks. Anyone can wring big traffic from a big story. Wringing big traffic from crap is where we separate the men from the boys.
Which reminds me. We’re overdue for an atheism post.
During a conference call in preparation for President Obama’s trip to Cairo, Egypt, where he will address the Muslim world, deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Denis McDonough said “the President himself experienced Islam on three continents before he was able to — or before he’s been able to visit, really, the heart of the Islamic world — you know, growing up in Indonesia, having a Muslim father — obviously Muslim Americans (are) a key part of Illinois and Chicago.”…
Since the election, however, with the threat of the rumors at least somewhat abated, the White House has been increasingly forthcoming about the president’s roots. Especially when reaching out to the Muslim world.
In his April 6 address to the Turkish Parliament, President Obama referenced how many “Americans have Muslims in their families or have lived in a Muslim majority country. I know, because I am one of them.”
This should give U.S. diplomats a handy conversation-starter with the “death to America” crowd we’ve invited to celebrate, um, America’s birthday. Exit question: Whose Obama cultists are more devout, ours or Egypt’s? I’d say it’s a close call.

Lately, my greatest fear has been random terrorist attacks like the one on the recruiter yesterday. You hear stories of the people in Isreal living in fear and being blown up on buses and in markets. Small scale attacks in multiple locations seem like a real possibility.

My understanding is that when Muslims become 10% of a population they have the duty to bring their land into sharia compliance.
Remember the illegal who was checked by the FBI and was given a CIA job interrogating valuable detainees in Baghdad? She was caught checking the FBI files for information on her brother-in-law in Michigan who was funding terrorism. He eventually escaped the country after the US attorney there piddled around – too busy doing his porn at the office and schmoozing with terrorists there in town. The democratic process means that if you have a pocket of Islamists you can only get elected there by schmoozing with them and looking the other way when somebody mentions their potentially criminal activity.
That’s the weakness of democracy, and the Islamists are smart enough to exploit it.
In England there are sharia courts in Islamic communities. From there they can get acceptance of sharia into an ever-widening area.
This is their modus operandi.

Yes, and they are very good at it, while at the same time playing the role of victims even as they commit wholesale murder.
However, the United States, despite the current attempt at “hope and change” by the now admitted muslim Barak Hussein Obama (since he has muslim roots, and his father was a muslim, by sharia law, he IS a muslim) is far different than Europe.
Geographically, we’re the same size, far less urban, and it will take a lot longer for them to expand here both by immigration and cockroach like breeding. Plus, Americans are the most heavily civilian armed populace in the world.
If a WMD attack happens (and it’s going to) even if Hussein is still president the purge of ALL political non unequivocally jihad and sharia condemning islam from the United States WILL commence. If the government wont’ do it, the people WILL do it.
I’m not saying that’s right or desirable, I’m saying that it WILL happen.

We knew about the hard Leftism and the racism. The Islam was only hinted at. (There are plenty of non-Muslims who were raised as Muslims and who have Arabic names–given names and surnames–Ayaan Hirsi Ali comes to mind; we certainly believe that she isn’t a Muslim.)

The Leftism was much more blatant and the only real excuse for ignoring it (for some) is our crappy educational system.
