Video: The greatest movie idea evah

posted at 4:27 pm on May 30, 2009 by Allahpundit

I don’t know how it could be better — maybe if Darth Vader made a cameo or something — but this is as close to schlock horror nirvana as mankind’s ever likely to get. There are only two sorts of villains in movies whom it’s acceptable to kill in volume, with utter impunity, and in the grisliest possible ways. Someone had the genius idea of combining them. This is the result.

Actually, if the protagonists were all Israeli, that probably would have made it slightly better. Or if Megan Fox was in it. Wearing hot pants. But otherwise, gold.

I’m in!

Spiritk9 on May 30, 2009 at 9:03 PM

Sucky title.

Should have called it “Nazi Zombies Must Die”

American Elephant on May 30, 2009 at 9:05 PM

Megan Fox in hot pants? Sorry. That is ONE human female that should be forced to wear a burka. After all, the wench has more messages plastered on her than the back bumper of an environmentalist’s Prius.

CyberCipher on May 30, 2009 at 7:18 PM

Every message but “Allahpundit was here.”

Blake on May 30, 2009 at 9:08 PM

Megan Fox in hotpants, leading a rag-tag band of pirate ninja rebels who pilot giant transforming robots.

Pterodactyls Vs Zeppelin, eat your heart out.

ZOMBIES DON’T RUN!

It’s the law.

Seriously though. The screen shot looked like a Nazi clown. Which I think is also an acceptable villian to be killed off. So that makes three.

rihar on May 30, 2009 at 9:53 PM

channeling Dennis Miller:

Boooootiful!

daesleeper on May 30, 2009 at 9:56 PM

DU-masses!! You do’tEVER EVER EVER subtitle a frikken Zombie movie.

44Magnum on May 30, 2009 at 10:14 PM

Megan fox would make any movie great! Even ‘The Happening’.

BayCon on May 30, 2009 at 11:18 PM

I don’t know how it could be better

Commie Zombies!

jaime on May 30, 2009 at 11:47 PM

Preposterous. Everybody knows that subzero temperatures immobilize zombies. Just read World War Z.

Jim Treacher on May 30, 2009 at 11:48 PM

Should have called it “Nazi Zombies Must Die”

American Elephant on May 30, 2009 at 9:05 PM

I KNOW you’ve seen Surf Nazi’s Must Die.

I love you

blatantblue on May 31, 2009 at 12:11 AM

Can’t wait for the Disney ride.

Ronnie on May 31, 2009 at 12:25 AM

It’s been done

UltimateBob on May 31, 2009 at 1:04 AM

I don’t know. I mean, it looks just campy enough to be entertaining, and the trailer did bring a chuckle or two, but c’mon. Nazis without Panzerschrecks and Stielhandgranates? Just another zombies in the snow flick.

long_cat on May 31, 2009 at 1:18 AM

In modern Hollywood, I am surprised they did not make them Republican, Christian, Nazi Zombies if they wanted to cover all their bogeyman bases.

KW64 on May 30, 2009 at 4:38 PM

Probably because the movie is from Norway.

jdkchem on May 31, 2009 at 1:22 AM

Been playing Castle Wolfensien for years so Nazi Zombies is nothing new to me. On the other hand, can’t wait for it to come to a theater near me.

Tommy_G on May 31, 2009 at 1:46 AM

I have seen this movie.

It does kick Much ass.

You must be able to read subtitles.

Ugly on May 31, 2009 at 3:18 AM

The trailer doesn’t even do it justice.

Ugly on May 31, 2009 at 3:19 AM

That Hulu clip is stupid

Ugly on May 31, 2009 at 3:21 AM

I watched this last Thursday. As a zombie movie aficionado I give it 6.5 out of 10. Not bad way to pass a lazy day off from work. Dark comedy and not a happy ending. Unless you’re a zombie. Or a nazi.

manfriend on May 31, 2009 at 4:28 AM

Laughed my butt off, I’d watch it if it was on the TV

gdonovan on May 31, 2009 at 7:33 AM

It should have been nazis vs zombies — give us a reason to root for the zombies.

tommuck on May 31, 2009 at 9:18 AM

Yeah – Outpost was actually a pretty damn good movie.

How about zombie suicide bombers?

tommuck on May 31, 2009 at 9:18 AM

Nazis AND zombies vs. the Obama administration.

Daggett on May 31, 2009 at 9:56 AM

I think WCS would’ve been better… if it would’ve actually been made. Check out the trailer at http://www.gorehoundinc.com/index2.html

You can watch this on youtube if you want. Somebody uploaded the whole thing as a playlist.

DangerHighVoltage on May 31, 2009 at 11:20 AM

The gore is more on par with the black knight fight scene from Holy Grail than an actual zombie movie. Also, they break a lot more rules than just the whole “zombies don’t run.” Still pretty funny though.

tommuck on May 31, 2009 at 9:18 AM

Ok, now I’m gonna have to write that. That’s too good a premise to go unwritten…

oddjob1138 on May 31, 2009 at 12:03 PM

Awesome! Oh check out the “Tower” (I think thats the title) its along those lines. A villager creates a golem that goes on a Nazi killing spree.

dogsoldier on May 31, 2009 at 12:12 PM

Is this finally coming out? It’s been in the “saved” section of my Netflix queue for MONTHS.

Vyce on May 31, 2009 at 12:15 PM

Pontypool

Dr Evil on May 31, 2009 at 12:20 PM

No.

watson007 on May 31, 2009 at 12:29 PM

Looks butt.

Every country has a fear of its boogymen rising from the dead and eating their brain. I hope one day I see a movie where the long vanquished Pelosi, Reid, Franken and the mummy Carville terrorize a group of hot teens on a trip to the White House. *Wait* I better go and jot this down so I can get writer credit!

Claypigeon on May 31, 2009 at 12:29 PM

Claypigeon; not likely. I expect Hollywood is likely working on a zombie movie with Dick Cheney as the lead zombie.

michaelo on May 31, 2009 at 1:09 PM

Another cheapshot thriller. Hitler’s Nazis were horrible but they have played that part in countless movies. Why can’t movies be made dealing with the real enemies of civilization these days: Islamic terrorists & militant Muslims planning for Islam’s world domination. Since 9-11 they are the new sinister phenomenon the world has finally become conscious of but novelists or film makers rarely touch this topic. Too chicken, safer to make the bad guys the old Nazis again.

Remember after tom Clancy’s excellent book, The Sum of All Fears, which revealed the real evil doers, the film producers of the movie version had to use Nazis for bad guys – disgusting cowards.
Come on writers & film produces, show us our new enemies, you disgusting wimps!

Just askin’?

Nazi Zombies take on a tour group that includes young Israelis recently released from active duty, a bunch of French college students (for comic relief) and the Palin family. Now that’s a movie I’d pay to see!

OscarSchneegans on May 31, 2009 at 4:57 PM

I hate hulu and this ‘not available in your country’ bs. Does anyone have a youtube link?

That being said, Nazi Zombies aren’t excactly the most original idea – I’d still like to see what they’ve done with it though

Now that’s an idea! Have Sarah Palin drive in on a snow machine in a tight-fitting snowsuit, and zap the Nazi zombies with a moose rifle! Sweeter than Sweden? You betcha!

Steve Z on June 1, 2009 at 10:26 AM

Note: As is the case with the frequent Comedy Central clips, Hulu streaming does not play in Canada or anywhere else outside the U.S.

Annar on June 1, 2009 at 11:30 AM

I think I just peed a little. That’s awesome.
