I wouldn’t read much into this. Basically, Rall’s complaining because Obama isn’t left enough for him. It’s not like he’s basing it on anything rational.

The surprising thing is the speed of it. four months in and you have this sort of thing happen.
I expect Gleen Greenwald over at salon will start to really hammer Obama after a year or so. I can see it coming.

I enjoy this and have cross-posted it to a few places I visit that crawl with lefty’s who have literally guffawed and proclaimed “I love Ted Rall” over the past years when he was at his douchebaggiest. Most people voted for Obama because he promised them a better something, and each filled in the blank. For them, Obama can do no wrong because they filled in the blanks.

Obama will never get to their list, but it will not matter as long as he is working at it.

Utterly vile piece if crap, Ted Rall is. I remember his comics and his columns used to run in my college newspaper. That was more than 20 years ago, before I had my philosophical / political "awakening," and even then I thought he was over the top. What made me hate him even more was they used to publish his photo with his column. Ugly sack of sh!t.

His bigotry and hatred towards our military and people that don’t agree with him politically dissolve any credibility he has in making an objective,informed decision about anything or anyone.
Obama losing the support of a leftist with not one intelligent solution for this country or the world is pretty much like Bush losing the support Scott McClellan.

There were a helluva lot more Republicans who were critical of Bush’s liberal policies (hence, the below 30% approval rating) than there are Democrats critical of their Annointed One (hence 60+% approval ratings.)
