Pretty good, but I'm still waiting for someone to do a video with Obama playing the role of High Chancellor Sutler, seen here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H68Ujc0wDnk

By the way, isn't it funny that all the alarmism about dictators and totalitarianism is directed it conservatives, when it's almost always socialists and leftists who actually wind up being behind them? Take now, for example. Wasn't "V for Vendetta" supposed to scare us about people like Bush, and didn't we hear about how we were losing rights all throughout his administration? Now, in reality, under the guise of "emergency" we've mortgaged the futures of generations to come, Obama is running car companies and trying to run anything else he can get his power hungry little hands on. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point.

And yes, I am stating that we are, at least on some level, now seeing a socialist dictator rise to power in the United States.

Ace makes a good point:

I believe Dick Morris is right on this point: Obama's policies are doomed to fail, whether we "hope" he fails or not. The question really isn't whether Republicans will claw their way back to power; they will.

But that's almost a trivial concern. The problem is what sort of an economy we will wind up inheriting from Obama. And bear in mind Obama has been considerate enough to use up all of the typical bullets fired into a recession, handing an empty gun to his successors.

It also doesn't really matter whether we put forward moderate or conservative candidate, at least in terms of getting them elected. When the next shoe drops -- whether it's before the 2010 midterms or after -- Republicans are going to pick up a lot of seats. Because the election will not be about us at all; it will be a referendum on Obama and Liberalnomics.

That being the case, we might as well start pushing more conservative candidates.

Poetry?

Outdoor sale with my brother Daryl
Guns for sale, mortgage in peril
Sold them all, lock stock and barrel
******************
Lava comes down slow but hot
Sweaty hands hold but cannot.
Once a gun but now is not.
******************
Many guns, to many to show
Sold them all, for I needed the doe
The person's name? Who is to Know?
******************
Lost firearm Haiku's[gesundheit]

Tranquil forest and silent spring
Rifle lost with broken sling
Tranquil forest and silent spring.

I could just imagine Gaffemaster-J(oe) dealing with the North Koreans....

"Ya know, Mr. ILL, when Jack Kennedy ordered the invasion of Normandy in 1956, General Sherman kicked their asses all the way to Casablanca with F16 tanks. So don't f@$# with us!"

With White House Poetry Jam, a New Era Is Spoken For

We're here to celebrate the power of words," President Obama said. Words "help us appreciate beauty and also understand pain. They inspire us to action." He introduced the first lady as his poet.
Michelle Obama told the gathering that the event was a way to open up the White House and invite in diverse voices. "I have wanted to do this from day one," Mrs. Obama said. "The notion of standing in this room and hearing some poetry."

Some called the event the first White House poetry jam in history. Technically, it was not a "poetry slam," which is a competition among poets -- a form of contest that began in the 1980s in Obama's home town of Chicago. A slam pits poet against poet as they stand before a crowd that provides instant, not-always-supportive judgment. That, of course, would not befit proper White House decorum.

By the eighth year of his Presidency,
Obama had given to me
Eight American states ceded to Mexico,

According to Obamath, there would still be 57 - 8 = 49 states left.

Reason assures us that on day 128 of the Obama presidency, it could be worse … much worse:

Patience.

By the first year of his Presidency,
Obama had given to me
A big tax increase on my salary.

By the second year of his Presidency,
Obama had given to me
Two tyrannical liberal supreme court appointees,
And a big tax increase on my salary.

.
.

.

By the eighth year of his Presidency,
Obama had given to me
Eight American states ceded to Mexico,
Seven million more babies aborted,
Six of my favorite blogs banned,
Five Al Gore global warming edicts,
Four Army divisions disbanded,
Three mouth to lap dances for the Saudi King,
Two tyrannical liberal supreme court appointees,
And a big tax increase on my salary.

Somewhat related...

Why, after all of these years, have the costume makers not improved the design of the eyes on Easter Bunnies? Those eyes are creepy. With all of the advancements in costume design, someone should have come up with something a little more cuddly.
