Boy, is this a ridiculous brouhaha about nothing.

Ms. Galore was actually one of the strongest, most competent women characters in any Bond film. Although she began the film as a mercenary, she actually was instrumental in foiling the plan to spread poison gas over Fort Knox. She was a heroine.

Whether or not this ad will be instrumental in persuading anyone to shift their loyalties from the Dem to GOP is one thing; but the GOP should not take the bait of responding to faux outrage over this non-insult to Nancy Pelosi.

And if we are going to be consistent in our outrage over the way Governor Palin was treated we can not stoop to their level by treating the Speaker of the House in that manner....

<a href="http://gizmodo.com/5267887/wolfram-alpha-a-bit-racist" rel="nofollow">This example</a> from Gizmodo is a perfect example of what is wrong in the arguments against the Pelosi 007 ad. Someone typed in the word "dumb" in the new search engine Wolfram Alpha. It came up with a Synonym Network which included the word "black".

Of course, immediately they jumped to the conclusion that Wolfram Alpha is "a bit racist".

But as the first commenter there shows:
<blockquote>'Dumb' is synonymous with 'Dim'

'Dim' is synonymous with 'Dark'

'Dark' is synonymous with 'Black'

'Gizmodo' is synonymous with 'Alarmist f**kers'
</blockquote>

Just like the person who sees King Kong and thinks "That must be a black guy!", people who see racism or misogyny everyhwere might want to first look into a mirror.

Anyone outraged over the ad is too sensitive. After the way Palin and Hillary were recently treated this ad isn't a big deal.

My only criticism might be that the ad could spin off a 2nd conversation about the GOP rather than allowing Nancy to twist in the wind.

No matter what we say, the MSM will treat it as wrong. We only cooperate when we piss and moan at each other.

That's not to say that you can't criticize efforts from your own party, far from it. But with Republicans, it's always 90% friendly fire and 10% cooperation, it seems. Part of that is the work of the MSM, but if Chaffetz really thought that there was a better way, why wasn't he doing it?

Why not just put your idea forward as a plan, rather than a footnote to your swipe at your fellows?

Also, Chaffetz seems not to know what the word "reprehensible" means.

Can UTAH form it's own Republican Party?

More and more I'm in favor of two clearly designated wings of the Republican Party. A Conservative, and a Liberal version.

Both versions would use ONLY THE FUNDING THEY RAISE FOR THEMSELVES.

Both versions would clearly label their candidates "Liberal Republican" or "Conservative Republican".

Let the best tent win - the losers can stfu.

I am loving the Cheney folks. I have always liked them but at least it feels like someone is on my side now. But it is true that although we might have fun with whatever the current distraction is, we can't lose site of the big picture. Not that there is much we can do about.

If the Republicans really wanted do real damage they would take something she said, squeeze it into an easily repeated sound bite and saturate the media with it. Obviously they don't really want to take her down because her last speeches could be used for a specific add - instead of being general about her, they could get specific. Seeing as how they know how that works, they are happy to use her as a target in the news cycle, they want to prolong the Nancy Pelosi ( The Speaker of the House Number 2 in line for the Presidency- Calling the C.I.A. Liars) The Republicans use her to taint the whole Democrat party. Lots of Democrats are now circling the wagons around her. The Democrats are in the weak position they are already perceived as being weak on National Security - Defense. American Politics it's not for the timid :)

Good advice but you know how everybody who doesn’t have anything better to do on a Saturday night likes to argue.

The Cheney's do have thing finger on Alinsky's pulse. Cheney's deliver truth to power better than any Alinsky disciple because the Cheney's make certain of RECORDED facts and refuse to permit destruction of recorded facts carte blanche even as the MEDIA perform the book burning bonfires for the Socialist politicians deliberately stealing and destroying our National Archives.

AS IF Coller would ever lift a finger to help working women. Hell no, it's Obamanation. And we already know Barack Hussein's female hang-ups. It's antipathy for all, and all for antipathy binding them together in a blood pact.

The RNC 007 ad was simply a generic swipe at Pelosi's corruption and personal/political efforts to destroy national intelligence.

Coller can campaign all she wants against Ian Fleming and 007. As a so-called journalist, she's cornered her market in the feminist ring alongside the Dragon Lady, as if Pelosi would ever lift a finger to help working women. I'd laugh except it hurts to cry.
