Michelle’s got a fee-vah and the only prescription is more NYT Obama merchandise!

The bad news: She got the URL of their online store wrong. The worse news: Yes, it really exists, and yes, it’s every bit as bad as she says. Dude.

I don’t want to nudge people about my Christmas list too early, but let’s just say I won’t be disappointed if I find some framed O-porn under the tree this year. Either that or the Obama keepsake box. Surprise me.

Blowback

I’m disappointed. 5 pages of Obama junk and not one halo. What kind of a shrine do you call that?

Good, but I think I’ll miss my daily reminder of the liberal mind.

OTOH, there’s still strangelet and Grow Fins!

For those unfamiliar with where the “self-hating minority” comes from, it’s in reference to the book Michelle wrote about the WW2-era roundup of Japanese in America. Since it’s popular to categorize all Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Koreans, Filipinos, etc. as “Asian,” and since Michelle is also classified as Asian, she must hate herself if she criticized the Japanese. The argument is wrong, of course, because the Japanese were hated by their neighbors more than by anyone else because of their occupation of neighboring lands. In WW2, the Philippines were an ally of the US, and an enemy of Japan.

Given the huge markup the NYT puts on those Obama products (Especially the color photos), Now that 0bama owns General Motors, what they ought to do is put 0bama motif paint jobs on their cars; That way they can sell the new $50,000 ’0zil’ for $500,000 and actually make a profit.

62% of those Japansese rounded up by FDR were in fact already American citizens. And even if they only had a tiny amount of Japanses blood, they were still rounded up.

Sad to see nice go, in a way. She provided a prime example of the tiny brain capacity of today’s liberal.

But she got banned for behaving like a typical racist Leftist, so it’s probably for the best.

Hey Grow Fins are you really that stupid? You insult the boss you get the boot and trust me Michelle Malkin is more then tough enough to defend herself but why should she on this site..she had to do it enough in the old days when Michellemalkin.com was still open to all comments.
My advice is if you don’t like nice343 getting banned ask Allah to ban you too in protest

Since it’s popular to categorize all Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Koreans, Filipinos, etc. as “Asian,” and since Michelle is also classified as Asian, she must hate herself if she criticized the Japanese.

Tom, you’ve taken your argument to the extreme and into the personal and lost validity. As an American, M.Malkin has never identified herself as a hyphenated-citizen on racial genetics though her ancestors are from the Philippines. She has NEVER attacked anyone based upon their race, and in fact, has severely criticized people for any racist appearance they’ve taken in politics (Ron Paul, for example, getting labeled anti-Semitic and then the slew that follows THAT blow–again, more to it than that as per radicalism).

Malkin’s book was not written from a racist point of view. Its research substantiated the premise, but missed background details that would have prevented her message from being mistaken, and in turn, she taking the fall for extremism. Criticism taken solidifies the next project. Her point is still valid, her detractors miss the point in order to assail personal vendettas of their own. Their loss should not be ours: do NOT ignore, neglect or abandon racial profiling when searching for a terrorist of a specific racial make-up, just as when searching for a criminal of a specified gender or age or size, that information is vital to utilize and broadcast.

What do you think, they’re stupid or something?

My husband’s grandparents were Korean, my father in law first generation American. He doesn’t hate the Japanese but he is well aware of their occupation and treatment of Koreans. There is a definite lack of Geography knowledge in this country.

But what can you expect from people who vote for a man who campaigned in every 57 states except for Alaska and Hawaii LOL!

Don’t get me started on Janet Napolitano’s weak geography skills..and she was Governor of a border state so you would expect her to know the difference between our southern and the northern border.

That is all this blind worship of this man reminds me of. And it creeps my sh*t out.

No kidding. I’ve been rewatching “The World at War.” The early segments about Germanyin the 30′s looks like CNN today. Scary.

maverick muse on May 21, 2009 at 3:56 PM

That’s not my argument. That’s just the perspective of those who accuse MM of being a “self-hating minority.”

Apparently you missed the very next sentence of mine,

The argument is wrong, of course, because the Japanese were hated by their neighbors more than by anyone else because of their occupation of neighboring lands.

The point being, that calling a Filipino woman “self-loathing” because she criticized the Japanese is about like calling an Englishman “self-loathing” because he mumbled under his breath about the French. Filipinos feel no particular loyalty to Japanese, or Koreans to Vietnamese. That’s projection from self-important liberals who think that all Asians are just alike.

So the people calling MM a “self-hating minority” are ignorant, and exposing their own racism.

tom on May 22, 2009 at 3:26 AM

I was watching a documentary on the fatal attraction of Adolf Hitler. And the old Germans were talking about what an incredible speaker he was and how they thought ol’ Adolf was the Messiah.

I read Shirer’s book The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich for the first time about 6 months ago (it was written in the early ’60s, so doesn’t have that spin that a lot of today’s history books contain).

The similarities between Hitler’s rise and Obama’s are freaky.

Did you know what Hitler was initially ineligible to run for elected office in Germany (he was Austrian)? Bavaria pulled some shenanigans to make him “eligible.” (sound like anyone else?)

And, indeed, Shirer refers to Hitler as the “German messiah.”

The real jumping off point for Germany was gun control in the late 30s. That’s when all the really bad stuff happened.

Guess who used Hitler’s gun control legislation as a template for our own 1968 gun control law? That would be current Senator Chris Dodd’s father, Senator Thomas Dodd.

I’m sure it’s in all the history books….not.
