And videos like this one drive me nuts. Because I hardly see abortion as a religious issue. Unless, that is, atheists and agnostics are now saying that believing that the taking human life is wrong, is a religious belief.

Yes, God did say “do not murder”- but is this not something that we can all agree on? That murder is wrong?

The fetus is a human.
The fetus is unique- of it’s own DNA.
The fetus is alive.
The fetus is innocent.

Therefore, abortion is the murder of a human being, and is wrong. Nothing religious about it.

Although I believe that abortion is the willful and premeditated termination of human life (aka murder) I do not believe anything in the first 45 seconds of the video either. It is arrogant.

In regard to the second part, promoting birth control is what got us into this mess. Before Wade vs. Roe the promotion of artificial birth control was sufficiently effective to decouple sex from marriage and to increase sexual promiscuity in American society. However, artificial birth control was and continues to be insufficiently reliable in the real world (as opposed to in the lab) to reduce the numbers of unwanted pregnancies. The reasons for this are probably instinctual. As a consequence the number to unwanted pregnancies significantly increased. Abortion is used as a backup because in practice artificial birth control has never worked to reduce the numbers of unwanted pregnancies in unmarried women (beginning at the Sexual Revolution). The pre-Sexual Revolution “sexual economy”, which relied on absence and a reliable promise of marriage for a single women who became pregnant from sex outside of marriage, was far more effective a reducing illegitimacy than the post Sexual Revolution regime of artificial birth control and abortion combined.

Actually, in my previous experience, the opposite is true. When somebody bothers to lay out the case in detail and persistently STAY on him and not let him do anything without nailing him, he tends to bolt. In addition, if nothing else, they at least deny him the ability to get the “final say.”

To parallel these sentiments, victims of domestic violence often claim that the violence done to them is a family matter. From the point of conception these littlest people have a DNA all their own. These little beings are not a mass of cells, scab or hang nail. These little beings are as helpless as any child. If any of us have souls, these littlest beings have souls. A society is only great if it can protect the weak and defenseless. We don’t hate or judge anybody, we just wish President Obama would take time to reflect on the words he speaks.

BTW, a couple of days ago, I saw my granddaughter’s (due in Oct) ultrasound. The beauty of her tiny body brought tears to my eyes. Her little heartbeat, her rolls and stretches, watching her suck her thumb served as a reminder to me that millions of precious lives are being ripped from their mothers and left to die a cold, loveless death. This should never be allowed to happen.

By that guys logic then the aborted fetuses live on infinitely. So no harm , no foul.
