Video: Hey, how about another MSNBC segment dumping on Palin’s book?

Wasn’t it Edward R. Murrow who pioneered the journalistic technique of mocking the subject of a news segment by inventing phony, derisive titles for their memoirs? I’m pretty sure he came up with that during his coverage of the Blitz.
Boy, Geraghty wasn’t kidding about this network’s Palin-hate, was he? Note the assertion that Fox News is in the tank for Sarahcuda, too. I guess Carl Cameron didn’t get the memo.

Couric was a disaster from day 1.

Olbermann is such a raging anus, I’m inclined to slam him some more. Really though, his flaming orifice speaks for itself. One can only say so much before becoming redundant.
The book tour will be classic idiot meltdown. Can’t wait for that when he sees thousands turning up at every signing, and the hardbacks flying out of the stores, #1 on amazon too.
Can’t wait.
Brian1972 on May 14, 2009 at 12:21 AM
Same here…but there’s nothing particularly boyz about them…just the RNC leadership reverting to the 1976 playbook. Snowe and Collins don’t even bother…they are already out of the camp, like Colin.

MSNBC + More Stupid Nonsense By Communists……
DL13 on May 14, 2009 at 12:23 AM
Something tells me that on this so-called “listening tour”, they will listen to everyone but conservative grassroots activists that win elections by volunteering locally.
I’m open minded at this point, but highly cynical.

MSNBC = More Stupid Nonsense By Communists……
DL13 on May 14, 2009 at 12:24 AM
I don’t even know who organizes in my area, to be honest. All the gals who work my polls are Republican. They take great pride in recognizing me as the token Dem when I vote. LOL*
I shocked them this year. :)
AnninCA on May 14, 2009 at 12:27 AM
Are you replying to me or am I just talking to myself?
AUINSC on May 14, 2009 at 12:28 AM
No, I’m reading all the posts.
I don’t think there’s a gender “problem.” I think the women are simply being underutilized.
Well, if you really want my opinion, I think the guys should shut up.
Can you believe how they share with the press about their worries over the GOP?
What idiots.
AnninCA on May 14, 2009 at 12:31 AM
Thanks. Noted.

AnninCA on May 14, 2009 at 12:27 AM
They have a point. LOL.
AUINSC on May 14, 2009 at 12:39 AM
That’s me, Auin.
But I’m convinced that approach isn’t right. I’m looking at individuals now.
No more labels!
AnninCA on May 14, 2009 at 12:48 AM
Anin,
Please don’t thank me..I think you’re an self-righteous, sanctimonious, gender-baiter. You go grrrrrrlllll!
AUINSC on May 14, 2009 at 12:52 AM
Okey dokey, AUIN.
AnninCA on May 14, 2009 at 1:19 AM
Olbermann has a right to belittle Palin’s. She has a degree in journalism and use to do sports reports and Olbermann knows such people are blithering idiots.
AaronGuzman on May 14, 2009 at 1:32 AM
Oh please, Aaron….he is not a journalist at all.
He’s a wanna-be-liberal-Rush.
AnninCA on May 14, 2009 at 1:37 AM
They could do a segments dumping on ditzy’s book every day for a couple of weeks, and it still wouldn’t approach the number of hotair blog posts on Janeane Garofalo.
Just sayin’
benny shakar on May 14, 2009 at 1:41 AM
Benny, check out the liberal blogs.
They are FRANTIC over this book.
Are you kidding me? There is an article on Politico already over the content.
The woman hasn’t written a word yet.
AnninCA on May 14, 2009 at 1:54 AM
I’m starting to think Olbermann has “never known the touch of a woman” and really hates their guts because of it.
Django on May 14, 2009 at 2:39 AM
What number will be higher, Olbermann’s viewers or Palin’s book sales? Hahah I know where my money is.
lavell12 on May 14, 2009 at 3:03 AM
Why do we continue to make threads about a guy who has around 4 viewers?
lavell12 on May 14, 2009 at 3:04 AM
Nothing I enjoy better than you people consistently confusing uproarious laughter and derision with “fear.”
Letterman did a great Top Ten for sarah’s book tonight.
benny shakar on May 14, 2009 at 3:06 AM
Three words for Letterman: Scare Force One.
Loxodonta on May 14, 2009 at 3:09 AM
LOL! I can’t wait to hear his take on Obama’s reversal on those pics! I hear the lefty blogs are apoplectic!
Olby would have made time for Palin in any event. She’s one of his favorite targets. It really gets under his skin that she has a journalism degree and was a sportscaster like Keith.
sarahpalinfan99 on May 14, 2009 at 3:36 AM
Because MSNBC works hand in hand with Team Obama, the DNC, the liberal MSM cabal and left wing blogs like KOS and HuffPo. MSNBC also coordinates with other branches of the NBC family including NBC News, the Today Show, Meet the Press, CNBC, etc. Together they can do a lot of damage to the GOP, RNC and Conservatives/Libertarians as evidenced by MSM coverage of the 2008 elections and the 4/15 Tea Parties.
Anyone who ignores their influence does so at their own peril.
sarahpalinfan99 on May 14, 2009 at 3:44 AM
Hahahahaha Olby complaining about someone in the media supporting a specific candidate and working to get them elected. And he did it with a straight face. hahahahaha
Mallard T. Drake on May 14, 2009 at 3:47 AM
Good one!
sarahpalinfan99 on May 14, 2009 at 4:18 AM
So,the lefty talk shows are already in Search and Destroy
mode!
Because they can’t read!
Honestly, did you think it was a FLUKE that all these bills get passed without any Dems reading them?
DSchoen on May 14, 2009 at 4:57 AM
Olbermann is a pompus jerk.
Check out
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/fire-keith-olbermann
There are many who believe he should be fired.
afotia on May 14, 2009 at 5:13 AM
“Look, she is even wearing glasses”
OMG, this is starting to look a little creepy
DSchoen on May 14, 2009 at 5:15 AM
Their not “ off the charts”
Your just looking at the wrong end of the charts!
DSchoen on May 14, 2009 at 5:18 AM
benny shakar Letterman? Letterman?
He could do about fifty “Top Tens” on The One! Like the 57 states, sitting in Reverend Wright’s church with attention disorder, claiming to be the Messiah, Rezko, the burgeoning debt, ubiquitous teleprompters, supporting unions that have destroyed major industries, and…need I go on? Of course, like the pathetic KeithO above, going after Democrats would not be chic or left wing cool by the late night jester.
And it is Governor Palin who, even if the corruption charges are true, has about three times the executive experience of The One (or is it infinitely more) and interview gaffs amounting to less than a third of The Dunce from Delaware.
What great cards Democrats hold; and watch the clowns entertain while our nation sinks.
IlikedAUH2O on May 14, 2009 at 5:32 AM
Topsecretk9 P. S. Matthews isn’t beating anyone except for bleach blond hair. MSNBC has about a third the ratings of Fox especially against The Factor and check out Glenn Beck. They do beat Fox in well..questionable reports on their ratings.
IlikedAUH2O on May 14, 2009 at 5:39 AM
Has KO written a book? Has he ever been the governor of a state?
scottm on May 14, 2009 at 7:25 AM
More desperate flailing. MSNBC ratings are down 60% since October.
marklmail on May 14, 2009 at 7:41 AM
stupidity is its own reward
sven10077 on May 14, 2009 at 7:57 AM
I agree.
bluelightbrigade on May 14, 2009 at 8:35 AM
I liked the The Lying, the Witch, and the Wardrobe the best, but the Audacity of Hype is good too.
;)
strangelet on May 14, 2009 at 8:38 AM
Sarah can’t use that; Obama already copyrighted it for the title of his third fictionalized autobiography. But maybe Sarah will get lucky and Obama will decide to go with his second choice: Hahahaha, I Can’t Believe All You Idiots Fell For It: How I Conned Enough Liberal Morons to Get Myself Elected President
AZCoyote on May 14, 2009 at 8:51 AM
uh, didn’t Pelosi write a book? How’s that goin for ya, Nancy (the liar) Pelosi? I hear the books was in the bargain bin just weeks after it was published.
MSNBC might as well change its name to TMZNBC
Like someone said, you can only describe these guttersnipes so many times and then it becomes redundant.
scalleywag on May 14, 2009 at 8:57 AM
It’s oxymoronic to use “journalist” and MSNBC in the same sentence.
scalleywag on May 14, 2009 at 9:02 AM
The preemptive strike is part of the “crush them” mentality employed buy MSNBC. Attack the book before it even gets written in order to frame it. Further proof that MSNBC doesn’t care about ratings. They are a political machine.
dingbat on May 14, 2009 at 9:11 AM
Don’t you ever get tired of the laughter and derision that your every comment illicits?
I’m very curious as to what sort of character flaw a person suffers from when they enter a room and shout insults at the occupants. It reminds me of a scene from a short ShowTime series that I think was called the “Cell” where a depressed and self-loathing terrorist enters a gay bar, shouts insults at the patrons, and promptly gets the sh.. kicked out of him.
Is that you Benny? Are you particularly depressed and self-loathing so much so that you need to come back here over and over again just to have your self-image confirmed?
Or perhaps your life is so dull, boring, and powerless that this is your only source of excitement – this constant baiting of the wolves. Is that it? Are you just a sad and lonely little man lost and forgotten in the herd of like-minded, small-minded, liberal-minded sheep?
Rod on May 14, 2009 at 9:14 AM
I’m sure that both of their viewers found the segment amusing.
orlandocajun on May 14, 2009 at 9:43 AM
Is it me or this the woman look a bit like Oby. It reminds me of that one Star Trek movie “Undiscovered Country”.
[Kirk is fighting with Martia disguised as Kirk]
Captain James T. Kirk: I can’t believe I kissed you.
Martia (appearing as Kirk): Must have been your lifelong ambition.
Just saying.
mechkiller_k on May 14, 2009 at 9:54 AM
Why don’t we track Palin’s book sales against the sale of Olbermann’s lame literary efforts.
I don’t think it will be difficult to identify the real loser.
jdflorida on May 14, 2009 at 9:57 AM
Olbermann should be fired. He feeds crap to his liberal audience and they are so used to eating it they don’t know the difference between crap and the truth.
Read and leave comments here:

OBERMANN SHOULD BE FIRED.
afotia on May 14, 2009 at 10:27 AM
These ass clowns and there b.s. are the main reason I didn’t buy any GE stock when repositioning my IRA recently. Oberdouche, Softball and lesbo Maddow suck.
la.rt.wngr on May 14, 2009 at 10:43 AM
Without the hate, Olby would have no listeners. His ranting hate against conservatives is what drives his show. Much like Hannity with liberals. Just that Hannity is better at it then Olby.
You don’t win listenership by embracing an idea, you gain it by hating an idea.
It is the ranting, the salivating, the “disgust”, the ridicule that people tune in for, not the discourse. At least for these type of shows.
right2bright on May 14, 2009 at 10:55 AM
Here is more inside dirt on Olberduche:
This “man” is such a joke. I can’t believe he has the nerve to mock anyone for anything. He’s truly the worst person in the world.

I think the above story at cityfile.com deserves it’s own thread. What do ya say Allah? If anyone’s still reading this one.
Brian1972 on May 14, 2009 at 2:32 PM
I emailed you that story, Allah. Hope you get it, dude.
