Trump to emotional Miss California: You’re not fired
posted at 12:35 pm on May 12, 2009 by Allahpundit
A happy conclusion to a clusterfark, notwithstanding the 11th-hour release this morning of one last round of not-safe-for-work-ish topless photos to try to get her fired. (Prejean’s excuse for the open blouse: It was a, er, windy day.) Trump could have half-assed this with hemming and hawing about how he’s “deeply troubled” by nip-slip photos and outspoken politics or whatever, but not only did he call her answer “honorable,” he went out of his way to rub progressives’ faces in the fact that The One holds the same position she does. In fact, according to one of our commenters, he told the press later, “You should be ashamed of yourselves.” A strange admonition coming from a notorious media whore, but we’ll take it.
Below the Trump vid you’ll find Miss Cali’s statement, the emotional highlight of which comes at 2:25 when she talks about her grandfather. It’s a silly point in two ways — there are no constitutional issues here and there’s no hard proof that she lost the pageant because of her answer — but if there were ever any suspicions that she was in on this circus for publicity reasons, the tears ought to put them to rest.
Note to pageant organizers: If you don’t want your spokeswomen swept up in political controversies, don’t ask them questions about divisive political issues. End of story.

‘but she refuses to be an activist for gay marriage! Oust her!’
‘Bewbs!’

My dad was a 19 year old Navy corpsman on Iwo. He was at Saipan, too. I have his dog tags, and I consider them to be holy. To think that they were around his neck, on those islands. The sweat, the fear, the duty, the guts – are all on those tags.

There’s nothing that you folks do that is wrong and I’m not sure there’s anything any of us can do now. Man, the left just kicks our teeth in daily in the news. The media is so powerful.
I got back from a mission today and was hearing the buzz on the flightline about Gen McKiernan being relieved/replaced or whatever. By the time I could get back to my room and read some internet about it, Time had posted an article by some great American that compared his removal to a beheading and then pretty much savaged him. I’ve worked under him and he’s a great and honorable man. Who the hell are these people to judge him? We’ve gone from soldiers on a battlefield to pawns on a chessboard.
We are so much worse under this administration.

Now that this is done and over I will just make note of a few things. In my life I am consistently exposed to liberal academics. In one of these instances, not too long ago,a question was posed to the students about H.Clinton showing a little snow on the mountains. The outcry that she was slammed in public was quick and unscrupulous. Mrs.Clinton was entitled to wear whatever she wanted to and to complain about it made one a bigot and an anti freespeech/anti self-expression coward. Fast forward to todays blogs and note the amount of times you can count Ms.Prejean being called names because 1.She professed to be against gay marriage and 2. She posed for pictures (deemed by the most unchristian crowd to be) unchristian. This only occurs IMHO because Ms.Prejean refused to fit into the meme that libs have boxed others into. To me this is the worst kind of bigotry-as if to say “get back in your box”.The minute they lost control of the soundbite, their message falls apart because real individual thinkers see right through their hypocrisy. All steps in this direction will drive the most extreme libs off the deep end, as more and more people support their opposition, they have to admit that their platforms have no justification in attempting to give majority voice to a minority cause. They lose all power to manipulate people to falling into their PC prison. Same sex marriage needs to have reasoned public dialog and discourse amongst Americans, not the yelling, screaming, name calling (Perez’) version of democracy. When they bring respect back to public discourse, then I will listen to what they have to say.

I’m not just talking about the way they treat the Armed Forces. It’s every Conservative that dares to be heard. Ask yourself when any of them truly had the balls to honor a Conservative.
I remember Brian Gumbel (sp?) injecting into a discussion with Oliver North the fact that he was a felon. It had nothing to do with the conversation. Who the hell was he?
Who from Hollywood really ever honored Reagan or Charlton Heston or any Hollywood Conservative for that matter? Hell, because Ron Silver had the audacity to be nationalistic after 9-11 he was villified by his Hollywood peers up to and even after his death.
I have never seen a TV, print or any other media piece on a Conservative Politician that comes anywhere close to the near Godlike reverence that these assbags have for Dear Leader. In fact they freaking lie and tell half truths when they can’t find a real scandal for a Conservative. Tell me why after Rick Santorum was pronounced unelectable after he lost to Casey over his stance for the sanctity of marriage and yet the freaking MSNBC guys were almost lamenting the fact that Edwards affair came to light and begged each other the question, oh how does he restore his political career?
And Prejean, it’s no different that what happened to Palin and all by the same people. The same freaks that are running the “nude” shots of Prejean (TMZ) hid a photograper near a pool to get undigified shot of Palin in a swimsuit. The freaking perverts. It’s nothing short of character rape.
God help the reporter that sticks a mic in my face while I’m still here.

I listened to a reporter ask Garafolo if she should apologize for her comments regarding tea party participants and she said no and that she stands by her earlier statements that we were rednecks and racists. Anyone with legal experience or know someone with it that could help. I don’t care if this is frivolous. I just want her giving a deposition in a civil case trying to prove that we are all racist rednecks.
Funny; she claimed that we don’t know history. But I bet she doesn’t know why the work redneck came into existense. If she knew she would realize that the originality of redneck had to do with people wanting to unionize back in the early 20′s. Meaning a mantra for the leftist agenda.

IMO it’s because the extreme-left liberals know he’s being disingenuous about opposing gay marriage. “He’s got to say it to appease the unenlightened Neanderthal masses.” Lying about one’s positions doesn’t bother them. It’s the net effect on public policy that matters to them.
Same as acceptance of a pol saying “abortion should be safe, legal and rare.” As long as “legal” is in there, they have no problem with the blather about “let’s make it rare.” In spite of Obama’s famous phrase, “just words” mean NOTHING to the far left.

I guess the Cuban-American who spoke at the tea party I attended is a racist redneck. Same goes for the two middle-aged black women standing next to me. I guess Zo is also a racist since he spoke at a tea party.
I saw that clip where the FoxNews reporter confronted Garafalo. What I’d love one of these folks to say next time the left-wing nut offers up the standard “where were they the last 8 years?” DNC talking point is that conservatives DID protest Bush and the GOP’s out-of-control spending. We protested by either staying home on election day in 2006 and 2008 or by voting for Democrats instead. Do these morons think the Dems actually retook the White House and Congress in a 2-year period with their base alone?

No matter what the results were of all this, there’s one thing for sure: Carrie’s modeling career is over. And I mean, over.
No one in the modeling industry, as conscious about their self-image and being at “the right parties” and have the “right connections” as they are, would even think of hiring her now, for anything. Not even to model a baby stroller. And trust me, if there ever is a horrible world in which catwalk bullies rule, this is it. That she even dared to be one tenth of a Christian is the equivalent of having untreatable leprosy and spreading it around like wildfire.
That’s the world of Political Correctness: she’s the heretic, and for that she must be burned at the stake, according to them. Their vindictiveness and evil put the Office of the Inquisition to shame.
My best advice for Carrie right now is to think of her next step. Forget modeling: no one will want you around their catwalks, anyway. Focus on your brains. If you have good grades, think of earning a higher degree, like an MBA or a law degree. Practice your profession as if you have something to prove to yourself and to the world.
And find a very wealthy man to marry. A good, Christian man. Make sure your wedding photos are released to the public – a month after the honeymoon. And have children – as many as you want – and raise them well. Forget Hollywood – you don’t want to be a part of it.
Live well. Be successful. That’s the best revenge, after all.
As for Perez Hilton? Pity the fool. Don’t worry. God has something very, very interesting prepared for him. And when the day finally comes for him to see what that is…

She’s earning her teaching degree in Special Education.
That, combined with her new found “fame” means that she will never NEED to go back to modeling.
I should note, though, that there are plenty of opportunities for models and many Christian organizations that would LOVE to have her model their products.

I see potential for trouble there. She might end up being hounded into the “Hot For Teacher” category…

She’s beautiful, has morals, is a Christian, good speaking voice. Sounds like she’ll have a job on FOX News once her pageant gig is over. I’m already a fan.

That’s what makes this so delicious………..

I think you need to clarify your commentary. Carrie Prejean does not say she “lost the pageant because of her answer”. She’s says she was penalized because of her answer, and she was. Teabagger Hilton said he penalized her because he didn’t like the fact that she didn’t support homosexual marriage.

You know, as a hetero, I could have gone all my life without that visual. Time to get out the mental scrub brush…

I’m still trying to figure out why the pageant employed a gay guy to judge a female beauty pageant. Wouldn’t a heterosexual male (e.g. AllahPundit) be more appropriate?
