To the innocent darlings who are impressed with Wanda’s post at NASA and Yale (you didn’t mention that) and the fact that her dad was a Colonel, have you ever heard of Affirmative Action? Since KeithO (or teethO as I call him) makes fun of colleges attended, look up Wanda’s. I am sure they have numerous grads in high positions at Yale, NASA and Microsoft.
Did you mention that President George W. Bush appointed her to NASA while doubling the accouting budget? And insofar as her father (the alleged) Colonel was concerned, numerous killers hsd decent psrents and a DD 214 makes nobody an automatic patriot, a saint or an expert on parenting.
Finally, David Feherty wrote the following in a Dallas Magazine lately and was condemmed by many leaders in Texas, CBS, the PGA and the offices of the three varmits mentioned:

Not to overthink this thing, but Wanda Sykes has made a reasonably good living over the years being the “voice of authentic blackness” in a lot of B-movies and bad sitcoms, written by people who have not a clue about black culture. The resulting programming is bland and white-bread, so they insert Wanda Sykes, with her wise-cracking nonsense, and she gives them instant credibility as being either authentically black, or at least in touch with the black community.
It speaks volumes that the Obama White House felt the need to go to Wanda Sykes for exactly the same purpose.

You fail to see the irony of the right being so anti-drug use and so pro-incarceration of drug users yet they give Rush, an admitted/rehabbed heavy drug user, a free pass because the drug use was an abuse of a prescription as opposed to an abuse with drugs supplied by a dealer. When I heard this on the news this morning, I was slack jawed. I couldn’t believe that Wanda said that. Joke , or not, it was in very poor taste, and shouldn’t have been said. However, I’m sure it won’t bother Rush a bit. He’s not thinned skin, like some others.
That being said, I was more taken back by Obama himself. That he didn’t find this contemptible, on behalf of one of his American citizens, that he’s sworn to protect, is an outrage. He laughed, and not just a chuckle. It was said he had a good hearty laugh over it. That is WRONG Mr.Obama. Whether, or not someone voted for you, agrees with you, or even likes you, you are their president. You represent us. For you to laugh at a joke such as that, is to be shamed. You no longer hold any validity with me, nor integrity, and you are NO LEADER!!!

I was shocked at first to see a United States president sitting there grinning like the Cuba Gooding character in the film “Radio”. One would hope that the person occupying the oval office woulf have some sense of right and wrong and not allow himself te be made into a caricature of Mr. Bojangles but then I started thinking about his socialist agenda, Geithner, Emanuel, Napolitano, Pelosi, Reid, the 25 DVDs, his apologies for America to the people who would destroy us, etcetera. His actions were consistent with the rest of the pratfalls of the first 100 days.
I sure hope people wake up before we are truly FUBAR.

A person who abuses illegal drugs committed a crime to get them. (By definition, since the drug was illegal.)
A person who abuses prescription drugs did not commit a crime to get them. (By definition, since the drug was legally prescribed.)
See the difference?
In both cases, if the person becomes addicted, they should seek treatment and should not be condemned for the simple fact of having become addicted.
However, that does not mean that the person who took illegal drugs should get away with that crime with no consequences.
