How many stories of heroism, recovery, family strength and self-sacrifice are there out there from this war? If we leave it up to the mainstream news, we’ll never know.

I didn’t say it’s rational. If you’re former army you are fully aware of the overwhelmingly democratic slant of most minorities in the military. The point is, a lot of them are still very patriotic.

Petraeus is not a politician and would not want to become one. He is, at heart, an academic, and has said his dream job after he retires from the military would be a college dean/chair of a department. I think he mentioned the school of international studies at Princeton or something, but I don’t recall exactly…
