Video: “Currahee”

posted at 3:15 pm on May 9, 2009 by Allahpundit

Via This Ain’t Hell, here’s the best thing you’ll see today. We already knew from the surge that Petraeus was a miracle worker — but evidently we didn’t know the extent of it. Forward this to a vet you love.

Pretty amazing….but did any of y’all see Michelle Obama’s arms? Her arms would have pulled him out of that coma and regrew his legs.

saltyrover on May 9, 2009 at 10:25 PM

That was beautiful.

4shoes on May 9, 2009 at 10:47 PM

On it’s way to my beloved bros.

AlreadyKnownAs on May 9, 2009 at 10:51 PM

Bet Obama can’t work miracles like that.

eski502 on May 9, 2009 at 10:57 PM

Hawkdriver! Do be take good care of yourself. You and all those devoting themselves to defending America are not forgotten, but honored.

Loxodonta on May 9, 2009 at 11:20 PM

D@mn…got some dust in my eye….

Fighton03 on May 9, 2009 at 11:25 PM

No.

Petraeus is not a politician and would not want to become one. He is, at heart, an academic, and has said his dream job after he retires from the military would be a college dean/chair of a department. I think he mentioned the school of international studies at Princeton or something, but I don’t recall exactly…

Muswell Hillbilly on May 9, 2009 at 3:57 PM

Exactly…Those who are most worthy of the office do not seek it. D@mn what a conundrum.

Fighton03 on May 9, 2009 at 11:28 PM

Oh my.

watson007 on May 9, 2009 at 11:37 PM

Beautiful; that example of willpower and fidelity stands alone.

rightg33k on May 9, 2009 at 11:51 PM

Semper Fi.

Johan Klaus on May 10, 2009 at 12:10 AM

Really? Then why do the Dems routinely try to throw out all the absentee ballots from the military? PS, I’m a retired 101st & 82nd Airborne paratrooper so have more than a “few weeks” of data points.

Dingbat63 on May 9, 2009 at 9:48 PM

I didn’t say it’s rational. If you’re former army you are fully aware of the overwhelmingly democratic slant of most minorities in the military. The point is, a lot of them are still very patriotic.

TTheoLogan on May 10, 2009 at 3:04 AM

That’s kind of what I was thinking. Incredible story.

BadgerHawk on May 9, 2009 at 3:34 PM

Why, so you can attack him for being in the military as well? You seem to be keen on doing that.

TTheoLogan on May 10, 2009 at 3:05 AM

My most heartfelt and tearful Salute to Lt Brenen from a 25 year Vietnam Vet.

There may be some hope for CBS in this piece.

“Currahe”

MSGTAS on May 10, 2009 at 10:15 AM

If he did, the liberals and the press would destroy him like they do to all Conservatives. And we’d sit around and let them.

hawkdriver on May 9, 2009 at 4:00 PM

So your saying Democrats are more a threat to Petraeus than Al Queda?

lasertex on May 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM

Lasertex – Dems are certainly a far greater and more dangerous threat to the US than Al Queda.

Siddhartha Vicious on May 10, 2009 at 11:21 AM

Dang alergy season…keeps making my eyes water.

Wyznowski on May 10, 2009 at 12:56 PM

Currahee!!

J.E. Dyer on May 10, 2009 at 1:42 PM

lasertex on May 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM

I think that is exactly what he said, and he’d be correct.

ManInBlack on May 10, 2009 at 4:26 PM

I disagree. I just spent several weeks on a military exercise and was reminded of how many minorities are in the military. They are overwhelmingly democrat. TTheoLogan on May 9, 2009 at 9:22 PM

This is News to me.

El Coqui on May 10, 2009 at 8:19 PM

Those 101 boys are tougher’n Chinese math. Never count ‘em out…’cause the moment you do, you find that they’re rainin’ down around you, upsetting your applecart and shifting your paradigm for ya.

Inspiring. In the best traditions of a storied division.

How many stories of heroism, recovery, family strength and self-sacrifice are there out there from this war? If we leave it up to the mainstream news, we’ll never know.

Puritan1648 on May 10, 2009 at 10:52 PM

When is doofpundit/chickenhawk going to apologize for blaming the military first for scare force one?
