Miss California’s father: Palin called to offer her support

Not really worthy of a post but I can’t deny ‘Cuda fans an outlet to relish the thought of the two “queens of the GOP” commiserating about lefty viciousness. Is there anyone in American political life better qualified to give tips on coping with a seek-and-destroy campaign by progressive media?
While he did not reveal exactly which words of wisdom Palin offered to his suddenly—and literally—overexposed daughter, he did clarify that the phone call came prior to the beauty queen’s racy photos appearing on TheDirty.com.
In addition to Palin, the proud father also claimed that Prejean had been receiving well-wishes from an even more unbelievable source.
“The gay and lesbian community has been supportive of Carrie,” he says, despite mounting public evidence to the contrary. “It’s just been overwhelming.
“Everyone comes up to Carrie and says, ‘We may not agree with you, but we respect you for what you say and these individuals do not.’ And they’re very emphatic. ‘Do not represent the gay and lesbian community.’”
The left will accuse him of lying about that, but why would he? All it does is rehabilitate the image of people on the other side of the issue. If he is lying, it’s a magnanimous gesture. Oh, and for the record, he also tells E! he’s not gay, despite the fondest hopes of his daughter’s critics.
Don’t get your own hopes up just yet but it sounds like she’ll get to keep her crown too.

The family of Carrie never saw this coming. I can’t get over how terrible this must have been for them. All their lives they have seen their daughter as a beautiful gift. I couldn’t be prouder of Sarah Palin. I’m even more convinced that this woman is a wonderful role model for young women everywhere. Not because of the gay issue, mainly because she shows another woman reaching out to another woman and lifting her up instead of bashing and demeaning her for sticking to her principles and values.

It hasn’t been well-publicized, but shortly before her nomination by McCain, when Hurricane Gustav was bearing down on Louisiana, Gov. Sarah Palin called Gov. Bobby Jindal and offered to send troops and rescue equipment from the Alaska National Guard to Louisiana, and Jindal accepted the offer.
She didn’t have to do it, but she feared another Katrina-like disaster in Louisiana and generously offered to help her fellow Governor in need. That’s just who she is, and the more the American people get to know the real Sarah Palin, not the ditzy image conjured up by the media, the more they will appreciate her.

Palin is one of those rare politicians with this quality: everything I hear about her makes me like and respect her more.
I’m glad Prejean’s dad mentioned getting support from real-life gays and lesbians too. No surprise, and a good reminder that the hysterical and overwrought with political agendas don’t represent them — any more than that contingent represents all the people from any walk of life.

Sarah and Carrie are two brave and fearless women who are not afraid to speak the truth even when it is not politically correct according to the MSM/left’s standards.
These two will come under vicious attack because they stand for traditional values like being pro-life and supporting tradional marriage. These days everyone has a right to free speech it seems unless you are a conservative or believe in traditional values.
If Carrie was a liberal, then her topless modeling photos would be considered hip, cool and high fashion just like Jennifer Aniston’s GQ cover or any Maxim/Playboy photo shoot. If Sarah was a liberal who was pro-abortion, she would be the Mom of the Year and become a darling of the MSM, progressives and radical feminists everywhere.
I am so thrilled to hear that Sarah reached out to show her support for Carrie! Prejean and Palin both get my vote!

That dude has some sick obsession with attacking strong conservative women like Sarah, Michelle Bachmann, Carrie Prejean,Ann Coulter, etc. He even went after Bristol Palin 2 nights ago with Dylan Ratigan (formerly of CNBC, now new MSNBC host). It is disgusting that 2 grown men would pick on a teenager like that just to get at her mom. Last night, Olby was ripping on Sarah again.
