Jeez! & to think when I was a single mom going to college I coulda been on the welfare dole!Instead of walking , riding my bike, or taking the bus or taxi, I coulda had a free car!
Instead of saving up for that 1970 F100 pick up, I coulda probably got something better!

Bluntly speaking, this is, without question, the dumbest, stupidest, most idiotic, most moronic, most ill-conceived idea ever conceived by the fertile mind of man, in this case, the man being Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts.

I would normally ask the question on exactly where the hell does Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts think he is going to get the funding to finance this nightmarish economic fiasco in the making, but then again, when I realize the number on number of times this state and its general population has re-elected certified idiots like John Kerry, Barney Frank, and every single Kennedy within the eastern time zone, it does not surprise me that someone like Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts would come up with bonifide lunacy like this program he wants to make into a reality.

On the other hand, Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, did it ever happen to cross your walnut-sized mind that maybe putting these welfare recipients back to work would be a somewhat better alternative than giving them a free set of wheels?

And did you also happen to consider that giving these same folks a free set of wheels sort of sends the wrong message, as in “don’t worry about being poor in this state, because Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts is gonna give you a free car anyway!”?

Grant it, Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, you may end up winning more votes come next election, but at the end of the day, you are also going to be in the same sinking financial boat that California is floundering in right now if you go ahead with this monumentally insane idea of yours!

I am a 911 republican. I am beginning to think we need a new party. One for Americans. You wonder why the stereotypical Republican doesn’t expand the party? Check your comments, people on welfare are “layabouts” all people in poverty areas are criminals. Pathetic and adolescent non-reasoning. The other day I heard a conservative radio entertainer Lars Larson, describe 40% of the American population as non productive. because they do not pay taxes. Does anyone suggest that our fellow Americans at under 40K a year also no spend money? Oh, no We’ll take your money, then call you a layabout.

Maybe it would be smarter to give the so-called SMART CARS (aka rolling coffins) to the welfare recipients. They would survive crashes in normal cars–and die and move off the welfare roll after the first impact with a Coors can in the street in their smart car.

Smart cars? They’ll last 10 feet, because this moron squanders the transportation money the gas tax brings in on idiotic boondoggles like this instead of actual road maintenance. They’ll hit a pothole in the parking lot of the dealership and it will all be over.

Did I also mention Coupe wants to raise the gas tax anywhere between 19-27 cents?

Jumping the gun they are, and I imagine they’ll get a nasty memo from the Commissar’s chief of Staff.

I have no doubt whatsoever that one of the main goals of the Emperor Jones is to completely end welfare for people of color.

By ‘welfare’ I mean the current system that keeps them living in sucky conditions…I can envision Taj Mahals replacing the crappy Great Society housing projects of old and tons more in the way of hand outs. Why? Because long ago He was talking about various construction projects to ’stimulate the economy’…what better way to kill two birds with one stone?

DevPat is kind of an idiot. He’s sort of like “Kwame lite” and I really don’t understand why the hell people voted for him. Of course I live in the only state of the union dumb enough to vote against a tax cut for themselves so what do you expect…

Me: “Why would you vote AGAINST an income tax cut?”
Them: “Because the budget is so big, then they won’t have enough money for all those programs!”
Me: *facepalm* “If we give them less money then maybe they’d be forced to cut some of the dumber ones.”
Them: “No they wouldn’t, and then everybody would be in debt and it would be really bad!”
“We’re in debt now.”

And so on…

Meanwhile those of us with a job get punished for being productive members of society. *picks up Texas job hunting guide*

Grrrr. This is one of those things that just p*sses me off to no end. My hubby and I own our own company that we built from the ground up the old fashioned way (loans we must pay, cutting back, etc). Right now things are soooo slow, I am about to take a freaking job at the local convenience store at minimum wage just to keep us going! And our 14 year old daughter WORKS to be able buy the things she wants (and bless her heart, she has even offered to give some of her money to help out – and no, we don’t take it). We are in the heating service industry, and as anyone knows, with all the media fear going around, people aren’t spending their money on things that can be ‘put off for another year’. Hell, I probably pay more in insurances a month than these bums get on their welfare cheque, and they are getting cars with the insurance paid! I can’t even afford CAA for our trucks. I told hubby we were in the wrong business – time to move to Mass. and go on freaking welfare!!!
Life would be so much easier if I could just bring myself to be a Fiberal :)
