Rush to Colin Powell: Become a Democrat, please

Isn’t he a Democrat already? He voted for Obama and thinks it’s time for big government. He’s a Republican at this point the same way Andrew Sullivan is.

On the other hand, why is Rush telling people what to call themselves? I thought he’s always fancied himself less a voice for Republicans than for conservatives. If Powell and Meghan McCain want to label themselves Republican, terrific; the Limbaugh mission, or so I’ve assumed, is to ensure that the GOP’s platform and leadership are each appropriately conservative. If Colin Powell can help attract people to that platform, why purge him? Granted, it’s not going to happen today, but who knows how it’ll shake out in 2012?

For more red meat, try this snippet from Greg Hengler of Rush saluting Palin. For what it’s worth, I told Andy Levy today that I wished he’d become a Republican — just so Rush could kick him out of the party. Click the image to watch.

Anyone that wants to be a GOPer can join right in

That’s like saying that anyone who believes that abortion on demand is no big deal can call themselves Catholic.

Sure, the can call themselves Catholic, but it don’t make it so.

Keep at it Rush, sooner or later you will whittle the party down to a true 20 percent, including the actual politicians. No room for disagreeing with me, if you can’t lock step behind my fat drug infused ass, get out.

And of course, Rush is never all about Rush.

Its a case of the water carriers blaming the moderates which seems pretty dumb because the moderates didn’t have any power, its the self proclaimed conservatives that made excuses for Bush every step of the way under the anti democrat guise that got us in this mess, Rush even admitted that he was a water carrier, which was an usual moment of honesty, must have doubled up on his special tic tacs that day.

Maybe Rush believes in truth in advertising.

On the other hand, why is Rush telling people what to call themselves?

Powell threw his support to Obama

What does it take to make you a Democrat, if not supporting the most liberal, most anti conservative President in our history?

Meanwhile, the most liberal, most anti-conservative President in our history uses his prestigious position, supposedly in a cunning strategy, to tell people to stop listening to Rush Limbaugh

The President has defined Limbaugh as the anti-Democrat which for the secular President is a virtual anti-Christ

Meanwhile Powell says of Limbaugh

Can we continue to listen to Rush Limbaugh?” Powell asked. “Is this really the kind of party that we want to be when these kinds of spokespersons seem to appeal to our lesser instincts rather than our better instincts

So Powell is telling the mysterious ‘we’ that ‘we’ should not be listening to Limbaugh, who is the anti-Democrat.

He is also saying suckers like myself are swarming to Limbaugh to feed our lesser instincts, the better instincts, I suppose being to worship at the feet of Obama.

It does not take Rush to feed my lesser instincts. I have Satan for that, and Mr. Powell, who inspires in me contempt for his Specter impersonations

Colin Powell, a “Republican” who voted for a “transformativeanti-American MARXIST simply because he was also a black man, well half black anyways.

And we’re supposed to take his word for anything anymore?

Get real, man!

Rush Limbaugh is correct, we need to move the Republican Party back to its conservative base. And I agree we need to make our brand image clearer to the American public by doing a little housecleaning – by urging RINO’s to leave the party & stop diluting our principles.

Our conservative ideas are time-tested and proven. There is no need for new ideas, merely a need to repackage our ideas to an American public that has been dulled down and lied to by the Mainstream Media and NEA schoolteacher hacks.

PackerBronco:

No one gets “kicked out of the party”.

The likes of Powell (and Meghan & others so called ‘moderates’ who are b******* so loudly about the social cons) want to abandon the social cons in every way – “shut up about your issues, shut up about wanting policy to advance those issues, shut up about us going against your values and issues …. but show up and vote the way we tell you.” On occasion, you’ll even hear one of them spill the beans … “where are the social cons going to go?”

Limbaugh isn’t telling Powell to shut up and give him (Limbaugh) a proxy for Powell’s vote; he’s saying “General, if you’re going to vote Democrat and criticize Republicans like a Democrat (using their talking points and everything), then what are you doing calling yourself a Republican?”

If Powell’s going to walk like a Democrat, talk like a Democrat and vote like a Democrat, then what’s he doing calling himself a Republican?

Piss off monkei…
On what grounds does Powell deserve to call himself Republican? He holds no principles that are in common with ours. Worst of all, he voted for this empty-suit slick-talking idiot that we have in office. Rush is right.

BTW

You blog bad, and you should feel bad!

MechEng5by5 on May 7, 2009 at 3:34 PM

If Colin Powell can help attract people to that platform, why purge him?

That’s a fallacy and you know it.

The objective is to pretend to be a Republican, trash the GOP and Republicans, in this way Independent and Moderates go to his Party of choice: The Democrat Party. His Hope & Change is that by putting down the GOP to which he has been affiliated lends credibility to his criticisms which he expects will leave people saying, “If such an upstanding righty like Powell can’t stand the GOP, why should I?”
