Quote of the day

posted at 10:30 pm on May 6, 2009 by Allahpundit

“Seeing as how Michelle is the greatest First Lady we’ve ever known, not to take anything away from the other First Ladies, but I think its so fantastic that she’s tonight’s guest and leads the pack of influentials,” Winfrey told the Daily News.

“I think that we see that Michelle is someone of multi-dimensions, and that you don’t have to be just one thing, you can be many things,” said Diane Sawyer. “In many ways were just getting to know all that she can and will do.”

You’re having trouble with this, I see.

Those are all the things that swooning goofballs are saying which supposedly makes Mrs. B. Hussein Ogabe so special; her grace, sexiness and elegance.

So Oprah loves Barack and Michelle. Big whoop. Like someone else said so eloquently today, the day Dick Cheney starts sucking up is the day I crawl in a hole and pull the hole in after me.

I wonder:

Are these beyond-sycophantic toadies in the media always referring to the Obamas in histrionic superlatives…

… just to show how NOT racist they are???

Overcompensating for something?

rockbend on May 6, 2009 at 11:14 PM

Let’s talk vaguely!

Yes, lets!
She’s just, she’s got it!

Oh I know. She’s just someone of multi-dimensions–
–Yes! And, you know, it shows you can be more than just one thing.

Indeed, and you can be that.
And she definitely is that thing in which you can be a lot of different things. I want to be that.

I’m thinking your requirement for being “a real woman in the Democratic Party” and “the greatest first lady ever” is to be Black. Am I right? Black and/or ‘gay’ and that abortion makes her happy? Am I right?

you dare not question the age of those making childish remarks about Michelle Obama’s looks. Very telling.

dcwvu on May 6, 2009 at 11:13 PM

Michelle Obama is physically unattractive BECAUSE she is psychologically and spiritually unattractive.

Character is the off-putting factor where Michelle Obama is concerned. It also, then, affects how people recoil from her, and thus, how she “looks” which isn’t attractive, at all.

common people who don’t need photo ops to care, lend a hand, and give of themselves. It’s these people who are the ones who really make a positive difference in this world.

I can’t see the likes of Harriet Tubman saying “Check out my greatness, everyone” as Michelle does.

The Ogabe’s need the spotlight, when it finally fades they are quickly going to become bitter hacks, constantly trying to inject themselves into everything in hopes of gaining a last bit of attention.

Next, Oprah is going to tell us that Sotomayor is a real beaut.

Uh… isn’t that the Carters that you are describing?

Upstater85 on May 6, 2009 at 11:51 PM

Restoring Honor and Dignity to the White House doesn’t do anything for you?

benny shakar on May 6, 2009 at 11:33 PM

Approval, sir, in my opinion, demands the attainment of perfection. And in that sense, you rather overrate the charms of your first lady. I’faith, for one thing, she does seem monstrous ill-dressed for any lady, even a new one.

I’m done. I wish I could send you some. Out of the birthday girl’s favorites I picked that one to make because I’m not crazy about it so I will not partake. It sure was good to hear from Hawkdriver. The time difference makes it unlikely that I will ever get to post directly to him.

One could probably print half of “War and Peace“on that
big arse.

I guess this means Jackie O is under the bus.

At least Roslyn hasn’t felt it necessary to chase down the nearest camera crew and demand some air time.

Jimmy…well…Jimmy dropped a hammer on his own head a few years ago while building a Habitat House and now believes he is still talking to Arafat on a daily basis.

Ya know, if this whole White House stint goes bad, maybe Jack Links can hook her up on a new ad campaign. After all, she’s “multi-dimensional”.

I had no idea the deification process required so much saliva.

Maquis on May 6, 2009 at 11:43 PM

I suggest you have this metaphor wrong.

It’s images of Carrie Prejean that produce much drooling and panting among male conservatives on the prowl in Hot Air threads.

Images of Obama and his entourage produce much swooning, like teenage girls, among liberals in the MSM. I don’t quite understand why it has that effect on both female and male liberals, but it does.

[Glad to see you are still posting. And hope all is well with you.]

Loxodonta on May 7, 2009 at 12:04 AM

Those are all the things that swooning goofballs are saying which supposedly makes Mrs. B. Hussein Ogabe so special; her grace, sexiness and elegance.

Sink me, then her tailors have certainly betrayed her. So much for American fashion as well as American politics.
