Glenn Beck kicks ACORN spokesman off the set for accusing him of racism

posted at 8:10 pm on May 6, 2009 by Allahpundit

It happened during a commercial break but there’s no reason to doubt Beck’s telling the truth. The last time this tool was on, Megyn Kelly had to cut his mike to be able to speak over him. In fact, every time he’s on Fox, it turns into a trainwreck of filibustering and guests talking over each other. I understand why they continue to book him — angering the host is great for ratings — but why, given his astounding Edwards-esque unctuousness, does ACORN continue to send him as their rep? It’s practically an exercise in self-sabotage. I’m sitting here numb with horror at the possibility that he might be the most likable guy they have.

I split the clip in two. If you want the full interview, watch both. If all you want is Beck’s indignation at being accused of racial phobia, stick with number two.

Obvious, to me anyway, that the focus of these Liberals, Communists, whatever is to use national resources (read: the rest of the people in the country’s money through taxation) to raise the black American lower classes up to middle class status. The fact that millions have done that on their own and despite the blatant white on black racism of the past is totally ignored by them. Hispanics and powhitetrash are a distant second on the list.

This isn’t so much the New Deal II as it is the Great Society II. Didn’t work the first time, but with more money and juuuuuust the right people in charge it simply has to work!

The entire Libtard mentality is based upon imparting and nurturing victim status on select groups (racism) and attacking and bringing down those of other groups who have been more successful (more racism). The fallacy is that those who are more successful got there on the backs of the black man. But, how can one garner wealth from a group who traditionally have little?

One can easily compare the pitiful lack of wealth and resources of the Old South to the non-slave Union during the Civil War.

Just a comparative thought or two. Since lawyers have now been threatened by Obama with criminal activities for giving the Bush administration legal advise for “water-boarding, then why can’t Barry Soetoro be prosecuted for training, and advising ACORN for voter fraud???

Just between you and me, Janet Napolitano.

I got an email that had a picture of her leaving her hanger in Area 51, carrying some memos. You could just make out they had CIA letterhead. There were also nude photos of Miss California. Napolitano was carrying a large container, disguised, you will not believe this, as a purse. A Nobel scientist got a sample of the contents and proved it was a mixture of bird, swine and human flu. Napolitano then piloted Air Force One up and down the East Coast, spreading the plague, even in downtown NY City. It’s going to combine with AIDS and we’re all going to die. She’s been tracking the spread ever since on Google Maps, and that’s what’s really slowing down the internest. That’s what the email said. And it’s true. I’ll send you the proof if you want.

But here’s the most important part that I figured out myself. Napolitano has been conducting cyber-warfare on Hot Air ever since she got banned.

Yes! Get a life!

Sh! Don’t let on we know!

Acorn is our incarnation of a key component of the “transition”. They are the Venezuelan equivalent of the Circulos Bolivarianos, “community organized” Chavez street enforcers. They are thugs that intimidate and terrorize their population for the regime.

In Cuba, they are called Comites para la defensa de la revolucion or CDRs. All socialist governments have some version of them. In Ecuador, Correa has them as does Morales in Bolivia. In Nicaragua they rely on the local community Sandinista organizations to terrorize their commmunity. Ditto in Argentina…see a pattern?

Community organizers institutionalize these thugs once they get into power in order to keep the dissenters terrorized and intimidated. Its arrogant to think it can’t happen here because it already has.

Beck missed a great opportunity to stick another shiv in ACORN by focusing on the katzenjammer kids, Wade and Dale Rathke. Glen failed to mention that ACORN founder Wade and brother Dale were involved in an embezzlement scheme with the organization’s moolah. While heading ACORN, Dale embezzled nearly $1 million dollars from the organization. Wade then facilitated the coverup which was eventually acknowledged nearly 8 years after the fact.

But it gets better….

In 2000, Dale Rathke, was the Treasurer for Local 880 in Chicago, while at the same time being CFO of the national ACORN organization. According to the Illinois State Senate in 2001, Local 880′s email address was seiu880ch@acorn.org.

So in 2000 while Dale Rathke was embezzling money from ACORN he was also the Treasurer for one of the most important SEIU mega-locals and filing their compliance forms with the Department of Labor.

Likewise, Wade has his own pet organization in SEIU Local 100. With all of the outcry against AIG and big banks by ACORN, how about a little review of their books….

The good news is that not only do we get to watch them operate as Obama’s Brown shirts but we get the privilege to pay for these miscreants to undermine our Republic.

Oh well. Glen has a pretty short attention span and he at least allowed the ACORN wanker to abort himself.

This whole post is worth a reread.

It used to be that radical organizations would go on network TV with some calm, zombie like spokesman to tell you that, yes, they screw puppies but they respect them as people. Or that they are not really Communists, they just want to “spread the wealth around”.

Now they don’t give a damn WHAT the pubic thinks of them. They have Federal money and their guy in the White house and you white people are going to pay.

We are in a lot of trouble.

I find Beck’s show to be the most educational show anywhere that tries to explain the big picture of what is really going on now, juxtaposed against when similar historical events have happened, and then working to see where this all is leading us.

And then, AND THEN, the ACORN shyster does the usual despicable, beneath-contempt Alinsky tactic – accuse your enemy of being a racist. “Why are you afraid of black people?” Indeed, ACORN and the rest of the cowardly left should be asked, “Why are you afraid of small government, politicians acting responsibly & honorably, low taxation, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?” The shyster should be glad that he didn’t get his ass kicked, not just kicked off the set.

Fascism has evolved into the feel good big government corporatism that we now have. Mussolini definitely understood that the government could never purge the corporation, but could use them to its benefit.

Further, Socialism and Fascism are from the same movement, so I don’t totally disagree with you. Maybe many in South America have learned from Mussolini – we know many of our American leaders have.

Upstater85 on May 6, 2009 at 10:40 PM

I REALLY want someone interviewing this a-hole to ask him why is it that ACORN’s shock troops are always blacks and Latinos, but its organizers and spokesmen are all white.

I went to a hearing of the Pennsylvania Banking Commission a few years ago on some proposed mortgage broker rules. There was a typical ACORN gang there to hoot and holler, and they had some feeble old black man reading a statement about how he got ripped off by a broker. There was a group of three twentysomething white kids leading the chants and another one coaching the witness.

Last year Bob Casey held a field hearing of the Senate Banking Committee in Philadelphia on foreclosures. Same story — young white kids leading the blacks in the audience trying to intimidate the industry witnesses, and coaching the black lady testifying. And the witness was a customer of my company – she was basically lying because we had already modified her loan and saved her from foreclosure.

ACORN is a racist organization. The Rathke brothers are white socialists who use blacks and Latinos as props.

The ACORN shyster reminded me of one of those free-range, out-of-control, Ritalin-addicted brats you see in public so much these days. As soon as they hear something they don’t like, they jam their fingers in their ears and begin yelling, “La-la-la-la-la!” in a desperate hope they can drown out the bad news. So Glenn Beck did the right thing. He acted like any responsible parental figure would; he publicly spanked the Acorn shyster by turning his mike off.

And then, AND THEN, the ACORN shyster committed the penultimate Alinsky tactic – when you are losing the argument, disarm your enemy by accusing him of being a racist. Tim Burton on May 7, 2009 at 3:33 AM

I understand why they continue to book him — angering the host is great for ratings — but why, given his astounding Edwards-esque unctuousness, does ACORN continue to send him as their rep?

Because they know they can do whatever they want, no matter how awful and evil they are.

Jim Treacher on May 7, 2009 at 4:02 AM

Why does ACORN hate white people?

unseen on May 6, 2009 at 9:15 PM

Why does ACORN hate American sovereignty? And just remember what the A used to stand for–Arkansas. Bill Clinton anyone????

BobAnthony on May 7, 2009 at 6:42 AM

If you ask me it’s time to introduce these fascists at ACORN to another set of letters…RICO as in RICO Laws

It is unbelievable to me that a charlatan who has proven himself very skilled in these old, tired and dishonest tactics has been elevated to the Oval Office.

Good for Glenn Beck. When someone starts gratuitously hurling the “R”(racist) bomb, the proper response is the boot.

petefrt on May 7, 2009 at 8:41 AM

We are inoccent, its all the employees fault. Hmmmm after a while that tells me you are a lousy manager or you are lying.

sonofdy on May 7, 2009 at 9:07 AM

Glenn’s talking about ACORN on his Radio Show right now.

kingsjester on May 7, 2009 at 9:11 AM

Watching Scott Levinson – James Taggart personified.

heroyalwhyness on May 7, 2009 at 9:30 AM

I hope the video pops on youtube. We need to start making more videos about the left, since that seems to be the best method of communicating who and what they are.

dogsoldier on May 7, 2009 at 9:49 AM

I’m sitting here numb with horror at the possibility that he might be the most likable guy they have.

I don’t care where yer from, that there’s gol durn funny.

+10 AP.

platypus on May 7, 2009 at 10:16 AM

. . . Now they don’t give a damn WHAT the pubic thinks of them. They have Federal money and their guy in the White house and you white people are going to pay.

We are in a lot of trouble.

GunRunner on May 6, 2009 at 9:35 PM

Indeed. If The Loyal Opposition can’t get back control of Congress, by the end of Obambi’s first term you’ll find the ACORN brownshirts multiplied a thousandfold, paid with taxpayers money to corrupt elections all over the country. You’ll also find a version of the so-called ‘Fairness Doctrine’ extended to all ‘hate speech’ on radio, TV, cable, and the Internet. Glenn and Sean and Rush and Laura and HotAir and FreeRepublic, etc., etc. will all be reduced to talking about pie recipes or get shut down.

You watch: ACORN will be turning off mics, if we don’t stop them

MrLynn on May 7, 2009 at 10:28 AM

AWESOME!!! Love you more everyday Glenn!

Repubtallygirl on May 7, 2009 at 10:33 AM

Thanks for showing the conversation leading up to moment when Mr. Levenson decided to tarnish the argument because he was loosing the debate.

ACORN obviously has a policy of doing whatever it takes to win. Mr. Levenson could not defend the facts that Mr. Beck presented. Mr. Levenson, like most people unable to counter the facts, start trying to deflect the facts or talk over the other side so they cannot get a word in edgewise.

Mr. Beck could be said to be berating Mr. Levenson, depending on where you or someone chose to enter the clip. But, watching the entire clip or show you can see Mr. Beck used Mr. Levenson’s or ACORN’s tactics against him.

The left cannot shut up and listen, they must be in control of the situation and when they loose control they resort to talking over everyone, deflect the focus, or just to make it personal, and that’s what happened. Mr. Levenson could not win the argument so he had to make it personal and did what the left is famous for “anyone not agreeing with them are racists.

Let’s just remember the facts. One employee is a bad employee. More than one charged with the same criminal act in several states indicates they are guilty of following organizational policy.

for the left that have no manners and only had one option to shut the gentleman up because he was continuously trying to weasle out of the fact that he could not defend the fact that the arrests of ACORN workers of an organization whose focus is to get the most voters for their guy.

Worse yet folks, Obama has seized the census from the Commerce Dept. where it was placed BY CONGRESS in 1902, and handed it to Rohm Emmanuel and ACORN. This Violates Article 1, Section 2, Clause 3, the of the U.S. Constitution.
“The actual Enumeration shall be made within three years after the first meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent term of ten years, in such manner as they shall by law direct. The number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty thousand, but each state shall have at least one Representative;”
Michelle Malkin covered this back in March.

And in April…

Kiss free and open election goodbye folks!

And yet Acorn is surviving on American tax dollars. Totally connected to the democrat party. 100%

christene on May 6, 2009 at 9:09 PM

I look at it this way. ACORN needs, the left, and the money. With their questionable practices, borderline illegal meanderings, and race baiting constantly…they NEED the liberals to fund them. I don’t imagine to many would donate to that kind of organization.

The liberals need ACORN. Especially in the registration, and voter areas. They know they don’t have a chance in hell without them. So it’s a two way street, and unfortunately, we’re forced to help pay for this crap!

capejasmine on May 7, 2009 at 11:33 AM

In another segment of that same show, he also had the audacity to ask one of the producers on a date.
threeCents on May 6, 2009 at 8:23 PM

That’s straight from the playbook: “The Audacity of a Dope”.

Sweet_Thang on May 7, 2009 at 12:17 PM

I get the feeling that he had asked the female out because he would either stir up decent in the work environment or so that he could get an insider. I know I am being paranoid, but an oily guy like that could get a girl any place that he wanted, it didn’t need to be a Fox employee and after he got his ass ripped and kicked out to boot.
