This has to be thee most disgusting President, and administration in our history. Not to mention the judicial system.

Obama knows their names. There is no reason for us to know, at this time. If it means protecting these people, and their families, then that should be done. The fact that the judge denied this motion, speakes volumes.

Obama is just a bully and a thug. He’s managed so far on the initial goodwill and pure partisanship but, as you point out, the business elite will not stand for much more of the kind of thuggery seen with the car companies or banking industry.

The problem is that many, perhaps even most of Obama's supporters are also at their core, bullies and thugs.

Somebody suggested that all businessmen, when forced to do layoffs, should scout the parking lot for any car with Obama stickers on the bumper.

The owners of those cars should be laid off first.

Strongarming creditors with threats of ridicule and ruin will result in fewer creditors willing to lend to cash strapped borrowers.

DrW on May 5, 2009 at 8:07 PM

As a result, the govt will become the lender not just of last resort, but the lender of first resort.

Giving the govt even greater control over the economy.

Here is the real money quote:

The President's attempted diktat takes money from bondholders and gives it to a labor union that delivers money and votes for him. Why is he not calling on his party to "sacrifice" some campaign contributions, and votes, for the greater good? Shaking down lenders for the benefit of political donors is recycled corruption and abuse of power.

Obama has been abusing his power since day one. Oh wait, with ACORN before day one.

No I am data entry (trained monkey) but thanks for the offer. It's definitely time to make some noise about this government take over. I can't imagine that Wall Street is going to stay silent for much longer, despite the fact that they helped put him in there.

You know what, now that I think about it I think you found a link for me to keep up with a game during the season. I am so old that I think Sonny J. is the best quarterback every.

Not only had I never moved before but when I got married we bought a home in my childhood neighborhood. The oldest child didn’t move with the rest of the family. I was a zombie for months. You do what you have to do.

I've got Sonny's autograph along with Chris Hamburger's. They happened to be at the Springfield Mall one Saturday when my parents went shopping.

Best of luck in whatever you do at this point.

With the way the Democrats have run that state into the ground, my wife and I will never move back to Michigan. We’re stuck in Indianapolis, and we kinda like it that way.

When I started the job search process I concentrated on Western Michgan and the non-Detroit parts of the state. Most companies don't even bother acknowledging you applied for a job. At best you get a don't call us, we'll call you if we are interested response. I extended the job search to other places when it became clear that employment opportunities were bleak to non-existent.

What I've discovered is that Michigan is suffering from a cloud of dismal failure that doesn't hold true elsewhere. Leave the pennisula and you find an optimism you don't see with a government dour because their entrenched power with the UAW and the teacher's union is failing without anything to fall back on. Jennifer Granholm should be deported for the way she's mismanaged Michigan's affairs by concentrating on pleasing the UAW instead of finding new economic opportunities.

Michigan is a great state with great people but it has been destroyed by the Democrats. I hope to return at some point but it isn't any time soon.

Cindy Munford, all best of luck to you. Not an accountant, are you? I may need one if my company survives.

It appears to me that if Bama tries for an AWB or significant civilian disarmament laws there will be massive civil disobedience, to rival Prohibition, but the traffic will be in arms and ammo, and with more people rejecting the law, living outside it, our society will suffer all the more. If you think we are coarser for the impact of leftists who cannot talk for more than five seconds with dropping an F-bomb, I think we ain't seen nothing yet.

It is abundantly clear that Bama thinks he can seize property and bend law egregiously (let's pass over the moral issues, in the interests of time) to remake the country to something he and Michelle would be proud of, and that would secure his reelection by gross pandering to pressure groups such as unions and ACORN.

He may have "jumped a bridge too far", but it remains to be seen, if the right people stand up, say "nyet, and eff you and your horse"

Bama, like any leftist, is a coward unless he has a mob behind him. It make take some doing to tame the mob, but these people too are cowards, especially if you catch them one on one, use their tactics against them.

Given that your life they would happily forfeit, at some point you have to ask what you will do about people completely willing to throw you under the bus. It doesn't mean you seek a violent resolution...it may be enough to fight legally or politically. I surely hope so.

The alternative would be very ugly, no matter who wins. Like Bosnia, not long enough ago. A fine example for the world.

It is time to draw the line, however. Come across if you must, but come careful. You will be on thin ice, and you don't want to know what is underneath.

You know what, now that I think about it I think you found a link for me to keep up with a game during the season. I am so old that I think Sonny J. is the best quarterback every.

Not only had I never moved before but when I got married we bought a home in my childhood neighborhood. The oldest child didn't move with the rest of the family. I was a zombie for months. You do what you have to do.

Moving to DC, well, get used to more traffic and a lot higher cost of living. I live in Reston, and my family and roots are in Maryland. But my wife wants to return to Michigan. Specifically, western Michigan, where her friends are.

If you get here by summer we may meet at a protest gathering. Good luck with your move.

Any chance you like the Redskins?

Cindy Munford on May 5, 2009 at 9:04 PM

Like I said, I was raised there. I'm a life-long Redskins fan- even during the lean years. And....I'll finally be able to see some games on Sunday without it being a fluke! That is definitely a plus.

I can't imagine what you had to deal with making your first move at 42. That long in one location you know as a second senser where all the "stuff" (like retailers, the post office, etc.) is and it must have been somewhat disorienting to move. I'm 44 and have moved every few years since I graduated from college at 21. At this stage in my life I literally have to think about where the "stuff" is in my current location as opposed where the same "stuff" was located where I lived before. For clarification, I'm not pre-Alzheimers but more than once I've thought I'll just run by the Home Depot since it is next to the Target only to realize that (in my current location) that isn't a true statement- it applied to the last place I lived.
