And I don’t care who you are: You find out the best burger joint in the state is a mile and a half from your house, you go. Ray’s is just past Roosevelt Island in DC as you enter Arlington from the route 50 bridge.

And at least he didn’t fly in a stupid pizza maker this time.

They went there because Ray's Hellburger was voted one of the top 50 burger joints in the US in the latest Food Network Magazine. It is close by my house and I went there on Saturday because I had just found out about it and OMG those are some tasty burgers!!!!eleven! I blogged about it here. One of the cool things about Ray's is they take cash only and they have no one there that doesn't speak perfect English. No one looked illegal to me. There is a sight awesome to behold: A 20 gallon container of ground beef, around which three women stand to make beef patties by hand. Its like a meaty sewing circle. Some of the burgers come with frois gras and truffle oil.

Video not working… but just like the $300,000 NYC terror scare ordered by the White House, I have to wonder how “green” this is, when he certainly could have gotten a burger at the white house… or sent someone who didn’t need secret service, and a friggin’ convoy, to go pick the burgers up and bring them back.
