There’s a lot to love about America, but the lawyer/lawsuit society isn’t one of those reasons.
The “pederast priest prosecutions” were all about the money, not the abuse.
The lawyers went after the Church’s deep pockets. Period.
Complete reform from the top down, i.e. from the Pope down to every parish, would have accomplished a lot more.
But don’t ask me, I’m a proud Protestant.
