Audio: Gaffney interviews McCarthy on RSVP to Holder, Obama
posted at 9:53 am on May 3, 2009 by Ed Morrissey
Andy McCarthy explains in further detail his decision to decline an invitation from Attorney General Eric Holder, and indirectly Barack Obama, to join a rountable on policies regarding the detention of terrorists. Frank Gaffney from the Center for Security Policy interviews Andy in this seven-minute clip, who explains in greater detail his objections outlined in his letter earlier this week. He also discusses his objections to the appointment of Harold Koh to the Obama administration:
Andy makes an interesting off-hand joke, suggesting that the Obama administration may release the Uighers in Gitmo later that evening to bury the news in a weekend cycle. Instead, they buried the news that they will likely restart the military commissions at Gitmo instead — which gives readers an idea what they believe is the kind of news that needs to be buried. They’d probably release the Uighers in coordination with the live broadcast of Countdown.

Obama seems bound and determined to place the most incompetent persons available to key positions. Is this a plan or just failure on his part to understand the serious nature of what he is needing to acomplish? Riggs, Napolitano and especially Holder are complete busts and expecting them to succeed in the best interests of our nation is naive.

It’s all part of the plan…when your administration and power rely on the ability to cull “favors”, then you need to repay those “favors” hence you get “friends” jobs they would never in a million years qualify for rather than out right bribes…
Nice and clean.

When is someone going to bring charges against the AG of the USA for treason? He is exposing citizens to terrorists, and he should be thrown out of office and put in jail. How do these incompetent people remain in office? Isn’t there a way to get them out? The obambi administration is putting us all in harms way, only to satisfy their constituents? We are so screwed. I hope the jacka##es that voted for this clown are happy, I also hope they are the first ones to go down when the damned jihadist attack us again, and they will, from within our own cities and towns……*sigh*

Andy is one of the few who remain untainted and with integrity from the Clinton Administration. He should be head of DHS not Janet Renapolitano.
eaglewingz08 on May 3, 2009 at 10:28 AM
This is scary stuff. Are liberals REALLY this stupid?
Libs only get it (for just a few minutes) when thousands of people are killed and our cities smolder in ruins. I don’t think that B-HO is going to get a second term to do his mischief.
Mojave Mark on May 3, 2009 at 10:34 AM
Yes.
If there are no attacks before November 4, 2012, and if he can fool enough people into thinking the economy has turned around (hold off on major tax increases until November 4, 2012), I have no doubt he will be reelected.
ProfessorMiao on May 3, 2009 at 10:43 AM
Yes.
They don’t even ‘get it’ then. They just think it’s an opportunity to blame it on republicans.
I don’t think so either. The worst of what this asshat is capable of is yet to come. Americans, even left of center Americans (not the hard left) will turn against him before his third year I’m betting.
I’ll be extremely depressed if 3/4 of the country isn’t awake by then.

Since Obama’s announcement to run for the presidency, I have been connecting the dots between his ideology, his political cronies, his appointments, and his current policies and decisions. The dots are so dense in connections that they all spell out anti-America.

other than us, who would vote against bambi? ACORN is a tremendous voting bloc, plus the illegal immigrants, plus the people on welfare that he texts. actually, no taxpayer need vote for him at all as he has all the “takers” on his side.
i know, this is too depressing. i’m going to watch some john wayne.

Ed, thanks for posting this audio interview.
I’m very proud of Andrew McCarthy. His decision to decline Holder’s invitation, and the way he did it, are great.
It boggles my mind that Obama is releasing terrorists and suspected terrorists. The possibility that trained terrorists will be released into the United States, and receive public assistance, is horrifying.
Obama has forgotten Never Forget. Probably, he never really got it to begin with.

Even Mao Zedong had it right…never trust a Leftist.
coldwarrior on May 3, 2009 at 11:37 AM
That’s a very astute comment, except I don’t think it’s “incompetent”. For the most part, I think he’s putting people in who are “ideologically pure”.
There are two exceptions. For his economic council and the military, he has either appointed or kept on good people. But for those two areas, he makes all the decisions so the others are for show.

Will this interview mean that Andy McCarthy will be on Janet Napolitano’s next Potential Terrorist/Security threat list? I know Frank Gaffney must have already qualified.

I’m betting on 9-11-09. The symbolism would be too rich for the terrorists to pass up.
KLI50 on May 3, 2009 at 12:57 PM
Yes, according to many different sites, there are training camps here in our Country. In many cities as well. And we will be attacked with in our own Country. Sadly some of our own People will be involved.
Scary thought but it does have a rich symbolism for the terrorists. We will be hit again and will be spread as well.

Where are the Trolls to tell us that this is all for the good, O-hole has everything in hand and we are merely simpletons who don’t understand the grand plan?
Helloooo?
GunRunner on May 3, 2009 at 1:21 PM
The vast majority of American voters, including Republican voters, wanted change because Bush drove any hint of conservatism from the GOP agenda. The change by Obama was the only change that was presented. It was definitely not the change everyone one wanted, just the ONLY one. We all know where this is going. Its a shame when we all have to pay the dues for corruption in both parties as we soar to rock bottom like a falling dagger. If 1000s die from an attack it will be result of the weakness demonstrated by the One in order to bring our country down to the standards of the rest of the world.
volsense on May 3, 2009 at 1:39 PM
if it happens on 9-11-09, i hope that you all will be sure to throw all the left-wing accusations at bush 8 years ago right in obama’s face!
i would do it myself, but i may not be around to. i am in silicon valley, CA and i am pretty sure that if there is an attack it will be around here. if i were a jihadi, this is where i would strike. a hit here would be devastating in so many ways.

Nah…homesick,
On or about the 4th…Remember what Biden said…
Scary…

I’m not so sure why you call sad something utterly to be exepected as “some of our People” will be involved in attacking our country. Muslims are muslims. Muslims have defined themselves as the enemy of all that is decent and peaceful. There are some muslims who are American citizens. If makes you feel better, stop thinking of them as “our People”.

i’ll be here then, too. :-(
i suppose that i can take some small measure of solace in the fact that biden is wrong about pretty much everything.
homesickamerican on May 3, 2009 at 2:32 PM
we can only hope he’s wrong on this one…too…
jerrytbg on May 3, 2009 at 3:19 PM
Anyone else wondering why the admin is so openly inviting attack? Do they have a plan to declare Marshall Law and need the excuse of a terrorist attack to do it?
Where will the lefty trolls and Huffington idiots be when Obama plays his hand? Will they condemn him for responding too harshly? Will they compare him to Bush and his response? Say that the Intelligence services dropped the ball? Oh yeah, they won’t be able to complain. They will be muzzled like the rest of us.
InTheBellyoftheBeast on May 3, 2009 at 3:38 PM
Apparently this Administration and its blinded followers don’t believe there even IS a global jihad.
infidel4life on May 3, 2009 at 3:47 PM
It’s definitely coming! Date, time and place are in the works as we speak. The terrorist know we have a ‘toothless hound’ guarding the hen house and a demoralized CIA.

That’s ‘Friday night’ broadcast of Countdown.

Gaffney strokes McCarthy. What a thrill and what a surprise.

With all of us ‘violent right wing extremists’ around, maybe they better coordinate the release around a ‘very special’ episode of ‘Survivor’

O’bama got 70% of the high school dropout vote. No candidate had ever done that before.
The closest in recent history was Algore in 2000, with 59%.
Del Dolemonte on May 3, 2009 at 5:31 PM
McCarthy didn’t have time to participate with Justice because he’s too busy trying to track down Obama’s real birth certificate.
Go get em Andy.

Nothing to worry about.
Adults are in charge.
Bush is to blame.
We won…get over it.
