I was struck by an article that I was reading the other day

(apparently by the stupid/gullible stick)

talking about the fact that the British during World War II, when London was being bombed to smithereens, had 200 or so detainees.

(Note the qualifier here. The time frame is only the 57 nights, 7 September 1940 – 10 May 1941, and ONLY as the bombs were going BOOM!)

And Churchill said, “We don’t torture,” when the entire British — all of the British people were being subjected to unimaginable risk and threat.

(Detainees? Not POW’s, he must have been talking about the London Cage

Between 1940 and 1948 (both when Churchill was PM and after):

The London Cage was used partly as a torture centre, inside which large numbers of German officers and soldiers were subjected to systematic ill-treatment. In total 3,573 men

passed through the Cage, and more than 1,000 were persuaded to give statements about war crimes. The brutality did not end with the war, moreover: a number of German civilians joined the servicemen who were interrogated there up to 1948.

The “Churchill wasn’t PM at the time” argument just fell apart.

Safe to say Obama is claiming that as the bombs were going BOOM! No torture was being conducted at the “London Cage”.

I would guess that the Tortures at the “London Cage” were most likely in bomb sheters as the bombs were going BOOM! But I can’t PROVE that)

And then the reason was that Churchill understood, you start taking short-cuts, over time, that corrodes what’s — what’s best in a people. It corrodes the character of a country.

(Me think it was more likely they worried about being ripped apart not corroded)

I used to think it was that Obama was just stupid. Then I believed that it all was purposeful lying. I think I now believe that he does not knowingly lie as much as that he just says what comes to mind that, at that instant, sounds good. There is no cognitive connection between what is being said and any stong feeling that it must be accurate or even make sense.

This is how he has always campaigned and he is still in campaign mode because that is all he really knows. Since he is always on the move to the next “campaign” stop, townhall meeting, presser or photo op the inaccuracies and “stories-that-sound-right” are left behind in the dust and never catch up with him. I mean that literally: no one on his staff probably ever corrects him, and it is possible that he doesen’t even know he has made mistakes or misstatements.

It works for him so he continues.

“The force is strong with this one.”

George Washington couldn’t help but chime in with a rousing “Here, Here!” and a standing ovation.

True story.

Enigma was rare item…very few actually were produced and in limited channels only. Tactical intelligence, other than U-boats, was void of any Enigma usage. Even Enigma traffic could be suspect at times, and was looked at through that lense of suspicion out at Bletchley Park frequently.

There is more, but in sum one loses wars by over dependence on the obvious.

Next, it would figure that Obama and all the Marxists and Socialists he’s installing in positions of power in our government will get together on the White House Lawn and sit in big circles holding hands in a touchy feely moment full of Kumbaya and sing the Internationale as a show of solidarity with the forward (ie. right) thinking communists around the world. Of course, serial liar Robert Gibbs will be on hand to explain what it “meant” instead of what it really meant.

To take a lesson from our Arctic friend:

Lemmings of northern Norway are one of the few vertebrates who reproduce so quickly that their population fluctuations are chaotic. It is unknown why lemming populations fluctuate with such variance roughly every four years, before plummeting to near extinction.

Hopefully, plummeting to near extinction is on the horizon for these lemmings liberals.

What’s wrong here is that it is difficult to find fault with someone you idolize, love, feel is one of your own, or receive favors from. And this is how the MSM, the left, and at least 30 million Americans feel about Obama. The rest of his supporters are just being swept along with the crowd.

What is so difficult to figure out here?
