The Ed Morrissey Show: Jim Geraghty

posted at 1:00 pm on April 30, 2009 by Ed Morrissey

Today, on the Ed Morrissey Show (3 pm ET), Jim Geraghty joins me today to discuss the two big political stories this week. First, we’ll analyze the fallout from the Arlen Specter Switcheroo, and afterwards we’ll recap the 100 Days Presser. Don’t miss a minute!

Now you can join the conversation in the chat room! Be sure to register at Mogulus to participate in our raucous live-chat sessions. (And if this layout doesn’t work for you, use this link instead.) Jazz Shaw of The Moderate Voice moderates the chat:

You might want to drop the RSS portion of that. We’ll let you know in about an hour if things actually work – so far, so good.

For the benefit of those who missed the show, a very-quick synopsis of the Mogulus experiment:

- The chat, at least at Mogulus, is far better. Less lag, larger window, and colors. Still no emote (/me) function though.

- The audio/video was extra-chunky, and unless Ed had some wicked-ugly upload traffic, the fault wasn’t on his end. His connection far exceeds Mogulus’ requirements for high-quality streaming.

- At this point, I’m unable to actually access the Mogulus archives. Another point against it.

- In an after-show test on Ustream, Ed and the president of Ustream tried a couple different things, and some of us chatizens (mainly Jazz, who was on the line), aired a few grievances regarding the new Ustream chat client. The answers weren’t 100% of what we were looking for, but all in all, that end should improve some.

Scratch the inavailability of the Mogulus archives. The recorded video is still very ugly, but the audio seems to have took.

Sure enjoyed the “One Minute with Geraghty” show today. I hope Duane can stick around longer tomorrow
