I want you to be the head of the RNC

Republicans aren’t losing because their core beliefs are wrong, it’s because those in office have lost sight of those core beliefs. This isn’t a clear cut choice.

I honestly don’t get the connection between the party “losing it’s core values” ie drifting to the center with losing elections. Do you mean to suggest that the more moderate, or left leaning the party becomes, the less attractive it is to the swing voters, who occupy the middle, and who actually decide every election? How’s that? You expect to get moderates to vote R by being more “pure” while the center/swing is by definition not politically grounded and is swayed by ripples in the economy, difficult wars, climate change, and a rock star like POTUS. Politcs is a blood sport and power is more often won by simple and compelling narratives. Ironically fundemental truths and realities are irrelevant to the power and force of these narratives. This is distastful, but it’s a fact of life.

Palin is not silly at all. I think she’s a very smart lady. Personally, I’d rather dream about a clone (an available clone – don’t want a married woman) of Michelle Malkin, but Palin is very seductive, and that is definitely part of her appeal.

Meghan, on the other hand, strikes me as the Britney Spears of fake Republicans. The sight of her could curdle fresh milk.

I think the “silly woman” is Meg Mac, not Sarah Palin.

Whether or not Sarah Palin can win a national election remains to be seen, but she has become Governor of Alaska by her own merit, hard work, toughness, intelligence, and integrity, not from her looks or her family.

Let’s face it, Meghan McCain would be an unknown confused centrist ditz without her father’s name and honorable service to his country. The media are feeding on her ignorance and desire for fame to trash her father’s name and party, and she is either too selfish or stupid to realize that she is being used.

The media trash Sarah Palin for a different reason–she is dangerous to their agenda–an unflinching conservative, strong, principled woman who was elected entirely on her own merits, and also relatively young and beautiful. She may have entered the national scene too early for her own good, before she knew how to handle the national media, which are much more hostile to Republicans than the Alaskan media. But she is still young, and has time to hone her skills before 2012, and she has overcome failure in the past, resigning in disgust from the Alaska Oil and Gas Commission, to later become Governor. She could rebound again.

As for Meghan McCain, she needs some time in the wilderness, out of the limelight, to get an education in the school of hard knocks, before she can go anywhere politically. Her father and Sarah Palin have already been there and done that.

Can’t copy the WashTimes piece for some reason, but it reports on a Steele email complaining about the transfer of some of his authority to RNC treasurer and executive committee.

Get on it, stat.
