I try and stay positive and believe there is some sort of popular undercurrent ready to go on the offensive against this near-criminal administration, but the signs seem few and far between. I’m ready to visit D.C. with a million other people.

Armed or Unarmed?

I think we’ve started to cross the line of necessity in this issue.

Until people feel secure about their jobs and their businesses, they will cut back on expenditures and reserve their cash for potential setbacks.

Including and especially pertaining to hiring new workers, and retaining workers at current reimbursement levels. Which adds to the malaise about jobs, puts a chill on expenditures, etc. It’s going to show up as reduced demand for more than just houses. And it’s going to be very interesting to see how that kind of deflationary pressure will compete against the hyperinflation that’ll be absolutely necessary to pay off all the sky-pie we did end up buying in the last few months (nevermind the outlays that we’re beholden to from before with SSI and other handouts).

There is a fire sale going on. The houses are being sold for pennies to first timers. That does not mean real price homes are selling, or new construction will sell with the yard sale underway.

First timers are the few and young who did not already have mortgages, or unsaleable homes, or debt. They are a small group the banks will loan to, Banks currently are financing the sales of their own assets and not much else.

Still no rush to hire construction workers

That’s because Obama is focusing on the “saving” part of his plan to “save or create” jobs. So every time you see job losses, just think how much worse it would have been if Obama hadn’t been saving jobs at the same time.

One of the obvious constants is that the vast majority of Construction Workers in California are Latino. The vast majority of them are illegal immigrants, and the majority of the ones that work for city and state construction crews are Border-Crossers from Mexico with work permits. They sit in line at the border to cross to the US every Sunday night/Monday morning, drive to work, and usually either stay at a co-op apartment with other Latino’s or sleep in their trucks during the week. They go back to Mexico on Friday evenings for the weekend bringing all their hard earned money with them back to Mexico.

Given the numbers I’ve encountered over the decades of my career, the amount of money being pumped into Mexico’s economy from American employment of illegal immigrants and the Border-Crossers has got to be a mind boggling and staggeringly huge amount of money. I can only imagine what it must be like in the other border states with the Mexican border area’s that dwarfs California’s border area, Arizona and Texas.

The flood gates will be opened once Uncle Obammie, Auntie Botoxlosi, Grandpa Scotchie Kennedy, et al, make all the illegal immigrants citizens and their Porkulus objective(s) start building steam.

It will hardly benefit actual American’s who need it most and it will be a drop in the bucket for the American economy. However, Mexico will rake it in like never before. And we’ll still be in the same boat we are in now.

Every single action The One is making is straight out of marxist revolutionaries handbooks for remaking society in a socialist/marxist image.

And this fucking administration and Congress thinks it’s going to be re-elected in 2010 with 10+% unemployment? If they are, then the assholes who vote for them can wallow in their misery even longer.

The Obama tax cut of $13 per week will not stimulate that kind of spending.

Ed, just a quick correction to this: There is NO tax cut of $13 per week, just a change in withholding formulas leaving about $13 per week more in take-home pay. That means that there is an overall net change of $0 for taxpayers. What they take home now they won’t receive in refund next year, or worse, will have to pay in taxes owed.

I think a lot people keep forgetting about that drag on the economy since there’s so many already plus many more coming down the pike.

Hey, if you’re a construction worker, come to the DC area. We’re building stuff all over the damn place. Not just finishing stuff started before the bottom fell out, I mean actually starting new stuff.
