Olby to Hannity: I’ll give you $1,000 per second to be waterboarded

posted at 3:23 pm on April 24, 2009 by Allahpundit

In which Kayo, who spent last week making teabagging jokes, warns Sean to be more serious about policy matters. There’s a whiff of “chickenhawk” idiocy to this: If Olby’s hot to pronounce waterboarding definitively torture there’s an easy way for him to do so, but he’d rather bait Hannity instead — not unlike the leftists who were too gutless to sign up for Afghanistan clucking about the cowardice of conservatives who didn’t enlist for Iraq. Watch for the part where he sonorously intones about torture turning the bad guy — or rather, in Keith’s words, the “presumed bad guy” — into a victim and the good guy into an evildoer. The moral myopia of saying that about the planner of 9/11 is characteristic of the left’s hysterical sanctimony on this subject; for another example, see Paul Krugman’s piece today in the Times declaring, no joke, that “never before have our leaders so utterly betrayed everything our nation stands for.” Never? Ever?

If you’re eager to see a journalist get waterboarded and can’t wait for Hannity to take the plunge, there’s no shortage of clips available. Here’s one from 2006 and another from last week. Judge for yourself how shattered they look. Exit question: Didn’t Obama turn those bad-guy pirates into victims by having them shot in the head? Sure, he saved the captain, but at what price?

Update: From the comments, “I offer $1000 for every second that Keith can hang on to the outside of a skyscraper while a fire rages inside.”

They want to have a torture shoot-out?

Who’s going to pony up $1,000 a second to see a terrorist chop off Olby’s body parts?

Daggett on April 24, 2009 at 6:53 PM

I wish we did not have to watch either of these morons on TV. Can’t we just have them engage in a mutually fatal duel?

lexhamfox on April 24, 2009 at 7:09 PM

Oooooh, you mean that Muslim terrorist bastard Sean Hannity is going to blow U.S. $hit up and won’t talk, eh? You tell ‘im Olby!!!

Dr. ZhivBlago on April 24, 2009 at 7:42 PM

I thought the left was happy to say that there were no right and wrong, only shades of grey…

Tim Burton on April 24, 2009 at 8:04 PM

Could someone, anyone, explain to me how this nitwit is still on tv.

I guess Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn have more of a following than any of us suspected.

Joe Pyne on April 24, 2009 at 9:54 PM

Sean is another one of my main men. He will do a good job for the charity.

TXMomof3 on April 24, 2009 at 10:28 PM

Nobody thinks waterboarding feels good. The libtard media that Olberdouche belongs to doesn’t understand this. Hannity is not a terrorist so he doesn’t need to be waterboarded. MSNBC obviously isn’t going to cover anything Obama does that is bad so Republicans need to ban them from all interviews and the Convention.

Speedwagon82 on April 24, 2009 at 10:30 PM

if – IF – Hannity deigned to respond to Olberman, he could go the Limbaugh route and match the $1000 per second, with all proceeds going to (say) the Sarah Palin legal defense fund or a fund for defendants from the Muss-O-lini witch hunt.

With the waterboarding handled by our fighting men and women who were themselves waterboarded as part of their training.

Lefty money supporting patriotic causes? It’s win/win for us.

sulla on April 24, 2009 at 11:18 PM

I’ll accept any day of the week. For $1000/sec Olberman can have me waterboarded. He must pay in cash same day and he must pay the expense of setting it up

dennisw on April 24, 2009 at 11:18 PM

Olby is bad enough, Allah. But the trifecta of Olby, Charles Grodin AND Lawrence O’Donnell in one clip?

I’d rather be waterboarded.

sulla on April 24, 2009 at 11:35 PM

What a coincidence, that’s the same rate he pays his hookers. Easiest grand they’ve ever made.

xblade on April 25, 2009 at 3:44 AM

The only one talking out of their backside is Olberdouche.

The terrorists set themselves up for whatever we do to them when they picked up an AK47 or strapped a bomb on their chest and dressed like a woman. They know in advance they will be interrogated if they are captured. This is a war you big bunch of left wristed wimps. Get off your high horses about interrogation and allow those who protect us to do so. Call it gently coerced cooperation if it makes you feel better.

I want $1,000/minute for putting up with Keith Olberman in that clip to the 4:22 mark.

WoW ! ! 4:22. I made to about 2:22 , Thought I was
going to barf right on the screen.

“That was torture”

Texyank on April 25, 2009 at 12:22 PM

Just think about this…
Olby just proved that waterboarding isn’t torture!
Just think about it. No one would ever joke about an actual torturous act on a fellow American. Would they?
I would love to show ‘little member’ Olby what torture really is.

apco on April 26, 2009 at 7:09 AM

dear dufus sean is not a terrorist.maybe just maybe one day one of you stupid egg sucking liberals will be the victim of a terrorist will you want the cia to waterboard some jerk so we can save you?

Shooting them in the HEAD is NOT TORTURE!

It is an execution!

MOCK Execution IS TORTURE! and we don’t do that.

REAL Execution IS NOT TORTURE!

It’s in the field manual or the book “to serve man”

DSchoen on April 26, 2009 at 5:18 PM

That’s a pretty similar comparison to waterboarding, and CS gas is clearly not torture.
BadgerHawk

Navy boot as well.

It was called “learn to love your MK 5 day

March a bunch of your company into the chamber, I formation of coarse. All doors locked.

From behind a sheet of glass in a sealed room your CC is giving instructions as the white smoke starts pouring in from vents overhead filling the room.

Your eyes start to ting and your skin starts to feel like its burning.

Once the room is filled with CS, the CC instructs the group to remove their mask and recite one of your general orders, in unison.

If the masks all don’t come off at the same time or someone screws up the general order, or its not in unison,

ya get to do it again!

And again until ya get it right!

That’s called teamwork!

Olby to Hannity: I’ll give you $1,000 per second to be waterboarded
Take the money, Hannity, but demand matching seconds from Olby.
Feedie

To make it even more reviling, Hannity should offer $5000 per second for every second Olby can take it.

After all Hannity makes 20 mill a year and olby only 4 mill a year

Its all for charity how could Olby turn that down?

It would make him look like a schmuck,

Fox would broadcast it that means more people would see Olby in one hour than most would see him in one year.
