Obscene: Ahmadinejad entourage screams “Zionazi” at … Elie Wiesel

Kaleidoscopic irony from the UN’s Jew-bash bash in Geneva, as the world’s most famous Holocaust survivor suffers the indignity of analogy to the people who murdered his family courtesy of the world’s most famous Holocaust denier and his screeching goons — on Hitler’s birthday. I think that’s Ahmadinejad with the keffiyeh around his neck; the two pass within five feet or so of each other at one point. Don’t try parsing the logic: Why Iranians would consider “Nazi” an epithet, especially given Dinner Jacket’s revisionism on genocide, isn’t clear.
An interesting footnote: He actually dropped a line about Holocaust denial from his speech at the last minute under intense pressure from the UN amid the prospect of even more walkouts from western countries. It’s hugely gratifying to see this turn into the PR clusterfark for them that it deserves to be. And no worries — it won’t stop The One from meeting with Khamenei and posing for a stooge-ish grinning handshake photo of his very own. Exit quotation from Wiesel: “Here we are now in the United Nations, an organisation created as a response to the atrocities of the Second World War and we have to protest against anti-Semitic speech.”

I think the US needs to apologize. Obviously, we forced the Iranians into their Jew-hate by our arrogance.

For decades, “Zionist” has suffered a bad public rap from the MSM. It isn’t as though the reporters don’t know better, or the editors. Media owners dictate the news. Since it became a nation, the low-down on Israel has been a long time festering evidently. They’ve been approaching the annihilating focus on “Zionism”. Subsequently, they simply transfer words. Judging Arafat, are the Palestinians really all that bright? More likely, they are merely tools in Oxford’s hands.
The goal to destroy Israel is really more in terms of destroying America. The global authoritarians mean to use Israel for the authoritarians’ own purpose, to stir up global war, backing Islamofascists. Deleting Israel from existence transfers the rights of ownership over Amerika that much simpler.
Bending over backwards has not won allies, though it has proven Israel’s “virtue” to rival the reverse role play of the media’s take on David and Goliath (Israel the villain). Internationally, the charitable contribution to world peace that Israel made by relinquishing property rights needs more publicity. I understand that as your point.

Forget making words taboo… there’s nothing wrong with being a zionist. To make that wrong, that instantiates the thought police that have already pervaded way too much of western thought. Actually let them talk about zionism until they’re blue in the face because it just keeps showing how useless this UN “human rights” body is.
To even make this about zionism is what Iran wants. It allows them to have sway with other muslims because of muslim attitudes towards Israel. With Iran calling those shots, they have more leverage against the USA which is what Iran is all about.
I get the feeling that our relationship and capability towards Iran under Barack Obama will be similar to that of under Jimmy Carter.

I, too, would like to ask God to be with Israel and His people. I pray for them daily.

If the Iranians suddenly don’t like Nazis they should probably rename the country Persia.
Check into why the name was changed in 1935 for one of those historical footnotes nobody talks about any more. It doesn’t fit the narrative of poor Iran defending itself from big (but actually tiny) bad Israel.

Before you castigate Rahm perhaps you may want to consider the possibility that he is a Mossad Agent of influence. You wouldn’t expect him to act like an out-and-out Zionist. It would blow his cover.

If that were the case, I’d applaud the man.

For the sake of comparison, Israel’s Zionism could parallel America’s Manifest Destiny.
If I understand it correctly, Zionists run out of room to pioneer once Israeli territory is developed and populated by Israelis.
There’s more to the story.
The other native populations do need consideration. And the Palestinians who never did have their own country but roamed through territories “owned” by various others want now what Jews were given, their own “nation” regardless of the fact that they refuse to be civilized and get along with anyone, themselves included. Note well: NO Arab nation is willing to bequeath any property rights to the Palestinians. But the UN will attempt to coerce Israel to relinquish more than Israel already gave most generously (and in many ways, foolishly, losing national security).
I may be wrong, but that is my understanding.
Finally, if the Palestinian Muslims were to be “given” their own “state” then the same should apply for the region’s native Coptic Christians.

MC:
The problem in working behind the scenes is that you never know until years afterword. Pope Pius XII suffered public scorn for the rest of his life for his so-called collaboration with the Nazis during WWII. We now know that he worked very hard behind the scenes against the Nazi war on the Jews.

The UN did nothing to stop the genocide in Rwanda 15 years ago and they do nothing to stop the one that takes place right now in Sudan, why would anyone think that they’d try to stop a future one? People say I’m too pessimistic, but history taught me that you better leave while you still have the chance. Looking at how the UN conducts itself, leaving Israel is just as rational as it was to leave Germany in the 30s. I wish I had the same spirit as Sarah Connor but I don’t, I’m a wimp… in my defense, I’m half French, bravery-deficiency is hereditary.

Happy Holocaust remembrance day.

MM wrote a book about his type. Another “Unhinged” liberal.

Where will you go? Israel seems to be the last developed nation not determined to participate in its own demise. I’m sometimes tempted to move there myself.
jazz_piano on April 21, 2009 at 4:33 PM
I tried. It made me tired.
Mommypundit on April 21, 2009 at 4:35 PM
Why is that obscence?
1. Jordan is not responsible for the Holocaust.
2. Jordan is at peace with Israel.

Don’t forget Texas.
I moved to America 10 years ago, and to be honest it would have been much easier for me to move to Britain since I was eligible for citizenship but what’s the point? Europe slowly becomes an extension to the Middle East, with France and Britain in the lead.
There are 300 million reasons for me to believe that genocide would never take place in the USA. I moved here because I truly believe it’s the greatest nation in the world. I had the liberty of traveling all over the world so I allow myself to state it as a fact :)
I love Israel, I just can’t stand the neighbors. True, some Canadians are annoying but they make much better neighbors, and I love Mexicans :)

We should give the Palestinians another $900,000,000, and then the Moslems will accept Israel’s right to exist.
Ted Torgerson on April 21, 2009 at 5:19 PM
Not even close.
all that would do is give you an opportunity to give them more money to think about the possibility.
drjohn on April 21, 2009 at 5:27 PM
Obama siding with the anti-semites will push Israel into a corner from which they wlll have no choice but serious military action. How Obama reacts to that could determine the future of this country and the world.

Well, I hope you’re right, and we’re glad to have you.

My mother’s an immigrant of 20 years (I’m first gen born and raised American myself) and I appreciate every immigrant that comes here.
Except for the illegals… but that’s another story.
Chaz706 on April 21, 2009 at 7:26 PM
I am not Jewish. I am a Zionist. God bless Israel.
jimmy2shoes on April 21, 2009 at 8:57 PM
As legal I know how much difficult and expensive it can be to get a greencard so I sympathize with the illegal ones who come here from poor countries. But I also understand why illegal immigration upsets you, hey I get upset when I look for a job and a lot of the ads ask for bilinguals. I don’t even have the right to be upset, it makes me feel a hypocrite.
Anyway if you choose to make the huge mistake of moving to the Middle East, let me know if you need help or some useful tips like: Where to find the best hummus, what not to do on memorial days, how to argue over a price and my favorite, how to avoid being depressed without using any kind of chemicals. The last one is tricky :)
