The next Sarah Palin? Perhaps.

Katrina Pierson seems to be the average Conservative. She is articulate, passionate, outraged over a Govt that wishes to consume and enslave the individual American. Thank God for people like her.

She needs to prepare for the onslaught of pukes that will likely try to destroy her for standing up for her country--the Liberals love attacking their enemies.

Be strong Katrina! We are with you.

Little-known fact, per James Carville: She was the only attendee, among hundreds of thousands, who was less than 72 years old.

I can prove I was there. Does this make me eligible for a social security check?

I am tired of all of all 535 members of Congress and our President. The @#$% fools can't and never will get control of government spending. And, then they think that the solution if for Washington to run our auto companies and tell the banks to whom to make loans. This is what got us into this @#$% mess!

No country taxed itself into prosperity.

IMO, We need to move some of these tea parties to the front lawns of news print editors' homes. I think that may be the only way to get their attention. Hey, if they can bus ACORN in to protest on the lawns of AIG execs, no reason we can't do the same with the media.

The MSM is where we should be directing most of our anger now. They're our only line of defense against corruption. Once they became the corrupt, it's up to the people to take their country back.

IPOF, 51% of the population won't win a presidential election, because the demographic trend is to urbanization, and urban areas are weighted far more heavily in electoral votes.
Consider GW's electoral college win by ....what....3 votes? That year he actually lost the popular vote, but narrowly won the electoral college.
The electoral college is where you guys are bleeding.

MarkTheGreat on April 21, 2009 at 8:36 AM

nope.....in the last election, 129.5 million people voted for Obama, and 120 million voted for McCain.
9.5 million is the difference.
However, where those people voted was sort of critical.....365 to 173 electoral college blowout.

Of course the political elite, whatever that is, has unfavorable views because tea parties threaten their power and control over the government. There was a similar outcry and belittling in California thirty years ago when Prop 13 to reign in taxes was being debated (and ultimately passed). We should also remind ourselves that this is the same political class that thought it would be marvelous to enact a comprehensive shamnesty bill a couple of years ago.

It's interesting to watch the Obama administration essentially dismiss the tea parties. Meanwhile, as the poll shows, most people knew the score. They were very non-violent demonstrations.

Those numbers refer to the next election. The one after the ACORN assisted Census and voter registrations.

ummm…..yes, go Texas!
secede!!
then we will have a filibuster proof majority.
;)

And an easy exit for the productive segment of society. How tough will it be for companies and people to move a couple hundred miles for economic freedom?

Who will you tax when all the wealth moves to Texas?

A bigger flaw in the Rass poll is lack of cellphone sample……ie non-septugenarians.
Messed you up last time didn’t it. ;)

1) Your belief that old people only use landlines indicates your biases and bigotries.
2) If it is true that the elderly had been undersampled, then 51% is low. The elderly in general are even more upset about the level of spending than the population in general.

My wife and I both own cell phones only and we were at a tea party.

BadgerHawk on April 21, 2009 at 7:48 AM

Dumping the land line made the improvement in peaceful and simpler home environment for us, as well. Having the cell phone at all times lends security.

As per the 33%, they simply represent the third of the nation that adores Obama no matter what. They want their free pie in the sky.

America is encumbered with a third of the population stuck on stupid.

Thirty-three percent (33%) hold an unfavorable opinion of the tea parties according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

Without providing the rationale that determined the unfavorable opinion, the finding lacks luster.

A bigger flaw in the Rass poll is lack of cellphone sample……ie non-septugenarians.
Messed you up last time didn’t it. ;)

The cell phone argument is a tired one. My wife and I both own cell phones only and we were at a tea party.

strangelet:

Did you notice that the lady did not quote any Texans, instead she chose the founding father Thomas Jefferson. How is this sentiment any different from the millions of Democrats who threatened to leave the country when Bush won a second term?

I think it is just a way to express frustration and anger myself, but I would expect someone like you to ignore everything else the young woman said and pounce on the reference to secession.

That was a very interesting young woman. She is right when she says no President can change your life circumstances. And she is also right when she says a massive layoff needs to hit Washington.

But, I think the secession talk is all the critics will hear.

Of course what they should hear is the sentiment behind the secession talk..but they will dismiss her as an extremist instead.
