In all fairness to Gibbs, it is hard to sound smart when you have to sell nonsense.
.
But they are counting on the $100M "cuts" sounding big to us, and hoping like hell that "billions and Trillions" are just not understood by most Americans.

Almost every Obama hire is so stultifyingly incompetent that I am forced to believe that he purposely chooses these lamebrains to show how powerful he is. No matter how flailingly inept these clowns are, Obama is still large and in charge and can push through his agenda because congress is terrified of his "blackness" and teleprompter smoothness.
Even if you accept that Obama is himself utterly incompetent (and I do accept that) you have to beleive that even a blind hog could find an occasional acorn in a turd field.
To use a baseball analogy, Obama swings for the fences every at bat and misses, but the sportswriters (media) are agog at the breeze his bat creates.

I think that none of you get it.

This "cut" is a deliberate insult to those who are paying attention to spending. He is mocking us.

To those who are not paying attention, it is an inoculation.

Did anybody watch the whole video?

Obama is not even cutting 100 million in spending!

In his second appearance on the video he explains that he has told the cabinet to cut 100 million from their current budgets so that the money can be spent on health care and energy instead!

He does not plan any real cut in spending at all. This is more smoke and mirrors.

We can all learn a thing or two from our president. I've demanded that my wife dramatically cut $1.50 off of next year's grocery bill.

She gave me the finger, but I think she's going to do it anyway.

Did anyone pay attention to what Obama said what he would do to the "cuts" from the different departments? He said he'd take that money and spend it on education, energy and other things. So has he ever heard of NOT SPENDING MONEY?
Also he said Homeland was going to buy office supplies in bulk. Were they buying paper by the sheet? What a moron.

Team Obama has now started to use techniques from Mein Kampf in addition to Rules for Radicals….

Chapter 10.. The Big Lie Technique..

Caper29 on April 21, 2009 at 12:17 AM

Now started? Obama has been doing this since he ran for the Illinois Senate. Such using the "big lie" is fundamental to community organizing. Remember that snappy comeback during the campaign? Jesus Christ was a "community organizer?" And people bought into that one, too.

My advice to the masses...and this should have been done long ago...

Take some time, cruise the net, or hit up Amazon or your library...Saul Alinsky.

Therein can be found the basis for what drives Obama, and the enormous influence his Uncle Frank [Frank Marshall Davis] as well.

Without the "big lie" there is only the truth...and we can't let that get in the way of using a good crisis, can we?

what I want to know RightWinged and all here is why? What I see every day is another deliberate attempt to dissemble every protection our Federal Government has the responsibility to defend.

Because he's a radical socialist. And Beck makes a case that he's ushering in fascism:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tp9QeqD73Xs

Granted, Beck believes it's been the goal of presidents for generations, but I don't think that this is the case. I think incorrect moves have been made, but more often than not, they were just mistakes. The difference here is that Obama is doing all of this deliberately. He clearly doesn't believe in or support the values of the country as is and wants to change it in virtually every way.

Anyone else find it hard to sit through both Obama and Gibbs?
With Obama, the ‘uhs’ and cadence drive me nuts.
Gibbs is just an idiot. He is not fit to lick the pathway clean for Tony Snow (RIP).

True. Obama can't make it through a complete sentence without going back "uh..." to his "uh..." notes. The cartoon that is Stuffy Gibbs should be played by Gollum, with his "glunk, glunk" voice. He sounds like he just drank a cup of buttermilk.

What a couple of morons.

Gibbs is just an idiot. He is not fit to lick the pathway clean for Tony Snow (RIP).

This pathetic attempt to appear fiscally prudent while sinking this country into unsustainable debt I think shows how much faith the Obama administration has in it's MSM message control and friends on the journo list.
What little bit of reality that the MSM shines on this political stunt will be drowned out just as quickly as the exposer of the "95% tax cuts" that resulted in that whopping extra 13 dollars a week was.
The fact that you can't give tax cuts to the over 50% who don't pay taxes (basically fiscal redistribution),and the middle and lower class are being killed in higher energy, food, and operating costs that have and are going to occur never gets repeated 24/7 like the "95% tax cuts" did.

Gibbs also makes a fool of himself trying to tout promises that Obama has already broken in a major way when he brags about Obama going "line by line" through the federal budget:

Obama’s Doublespeak in Denver

I will also go through the federal budget, line by line, eliminating programs that no longer work and making the ones we do need work better and cost less - because we cannot meet twenty-first century challenges with a twentieth century bureaucracy.

Today, Obama returned to Denver, and with elaborate ceremony signed the $787 billion “stimulus” bill passed last Friassage and signing (thus also violating his promise about posting legislation for five days on the internet before signing, to day by Congress, which runs to more than 1,070 pages. That left fewer than 96 hours between pallow for transparency and comment).
When did Obama even find time to skim this monster bill? Let alone go through it “line by line?”

The over 400 billion spending bill that included about 9 billion in pork falls into this same category.

Gibbs also brags that Obama is presenting this with the support of the CBO (like someone is not going to support cutting wasteful spending. The point here is that this is simply a pony show used to repeat the words "100 million spending cut on a 24/7 cycle by the activists in the MSM instead of an actual commitment to "seriously" reduce wasteful spending)>

Where was Gibbs bragging about the opinions of the CBO when they made this assessment:

CBO: Annual deficits will be much worse than Obama thinks

http://hotair.com/archives/2009/03/20/cbo-deficits-expected-to-be-much-worse-than-obamas-estimates/

In a new report that provides the first independent analysis of President Obama’s budget request, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office predicted that the administration’s agenda would generate deficits averaging nearly $1 trillion a year over the next decade — $2.3 trillion more than the president predicted when he unveiled his spending plan just one month ago.

And while Obama would come close to meeting his goal of cutting the deficit in half by the end of his first term, the CBO predicts that the nation’s annual operating deficit would never drop below 4 percent of the overall economy over the next decade, a level administration officials have said is unsustainable because the national debt would grow too rapidly.

But when the CBO does not fit into Obama's agenda, well their opinions just don't mean as much:

Obama called for bipartisanship during the campaign. Well here it is. The bipartisan Congressional Budget Office says President Obama’s budget plan is a disaster. But the bumbling, stumbling Obama administration puts their inexperience on full display. Press Secretary Gibbs dismissed the report comparing it to picking Final Four brackets six years out.

This clown spews this cut-and-paste crap on a daily basis while most of the press and the sheep in the democratic party simply stay on bended knee waiting for their next instructions and bragging about how "intelligent" they are.

No wonder they want drugs legalized so badly, you would have to be wasted on a daily basis to see any legitimacy or credibility in this administration.

Isn't this the same Obama who in the debates was whining about how McCain's complaints about billions in earmark projects were teeny tiny?

Why even announce something this paltry?

I honestly think they're stunned by the tea parties. Obama thought everyone would be happy with constant pictures of his pecs or his dog!

BTW it's obvious the press corps despise Gibbs and his giggling incompetence. Even Loven is enjoying flaying him ala Tapper.

Gibbs starts off by accusing the reporter of not knowing the value of a dollar.

Ugh.
