To paraphrase “Spinal Tap,” how much more red could this meat be? And the answer is none. None more red.

Sex is great, we should all have more of it.
And aethists are both hipper and smarter than thou.
strangelet on April 19, 2009 at 5:56 PM
There’s room in the party for creationists & evolutionists.
jgapinoy on April 19, 2009 at 5:56 PM
there is, but its getting more and more obvious that the republican establishment doesn’t like christian conservatives..
let the RINOs and people like Dawkins vote for them…

right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:00 PM

right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:02 PM
Wow, Allah. Never saw anything like that before…and I, olster that I am, have been around awhile. Maybe Zo would have made a difference with the youth vote.
Unzolieveable.
marybel on April 19, 2009 at 6:03 PM
Ah yes, the dailybeast, where jackass Christopher Buckley now resides. And if I didn’t check, Reihan Salam sounds like Andrew Sullivan with all his snarkiness…that’s a winner.
StevefromMKE on April 19, 2009 at 6:05 PM
True! If you look what Congress actually votes on, it’s overwhelming about economic issues. Our votes for Congressmen should reflect what Congress actually does.

Yes Virginia, the Universe was created by little Elves in a hollow tree.
ronsfi on April 19, 2009 at 6:13 PM
you and strangelove are competing for title of most stupid….this should be good…
right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:16 PM
Yep, this man speaks the truth.
For every poster at Hot Air there are 30 to 40 readers. Therefore, when people post truly idiotic and troll-ish comments, you can multiply each response you get by 120 or 160 to get the number of people who are thinking you are an idiot.
(you quadruple the amount because out of one person that comments to you, there are probably two who are considering it but refuse to take the bait.
carbon_footprint on April 19, 2009 at 6:16 PM
Your title is safe.
ronsfi on April 19, 2009 at 6:19 PM
Curious and serious; does your moniker indicate that your name is Ron and you are an independent from San Francisco?
carbon_footprint on April 19, 2009 at 6:22 PM
that was the best you ‘smartest wacko atheists in the room’ could do??
but I shouldn’t expect too much from the mentally challenged….
right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:23 PM
Yes and No.
ronsfi on April 19, 2009 at 6:23 PM
It must be interesting having independent thought/politics and living in San Francisco.

you’re just a typical wacko atheist, smug, arrogant, idiotic…proving the bible true with every post…professing to be wise, they have become fools…
and it fits you perfectly…

Yep, just as much; both beautiful cities.
carbon_footprint on April 19, 2009 at 6:30 PM
Your seething gnawing hatred is palpable and I find it satisfying to the extreme when trolls hate me. Go kick your dog and slap your boyfriend then tell me if it feels better.
ronsfi on April 19, 2009 at 6:31 PM
Never mind AP, what about the father of the conservative movement?
If they succeed in establishing religion as a basic Republican Party tenet, they could do us in. If that ever happens, kiss politics goodbye.
Well, I’ve spent quite a number of years carrying the flag of the ‘Old Conservatism.’ And I can say with conviction that the religious issues of these groups have little or nothing to do with conservative or liberal politics. The uncompromising position of these groups is a divisive element that could tear apart the very spirit of our representative system, if they gain sufficient strength. Being a conservative in America traditionally has meant that one holds a deep, abiding respect for the Constitution. We conservatives believe sincerely in the integrity of the Constitution. We treasure the freedoms that document protects. By maintaining the separation of church and state, the United States has avoided the intolerance which has so divided the rest of the world with religious wars. Can any of us refute the wisdom of Madison and the other framers?
The religious factions will go on imposing their will on others, less the decent people connected to them recognize that religion has no place in public policy. They must learn to make their views known without trying to make their views the only alternatives. We have succeeded for over 200 years in keeping the affairs of state separate from the uncompromising idealism of religious groups and we mustn’t stop now. To retreat from that separation would violate the principles of conservatism and the values upon which the framers built this democratic republic.
If this fellow starts trying to bring in religious tests and divisions [updated] every good Christian should line up and kick this Zo [updated] right in the ass.
- Barry Goldwater
MB4 on April 19, 2009 at 6:31 PM
you sound like a typical liberal wacko…accusing others of the hatred you are so filled with…
truth is, you’re the one full of hate, especially towards people like me who don’t bow to your RACIST hairygod darwin!! and you especially hate me, since I make you look foolish on the regular…not that you need any help…
right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:34 PM
Zo never said he didn’t want atheists in the GOP.
jgapinoy on April 19, 2009 at 6:34 PM
the father of the conservative movement was Willaim F. Buckley…not goldwater…that loser politican..please….
right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:35 PM
I doubt Zo is in the GOP…its getting to the point where why would any conservative be in the GOP??
right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:38 PM
On the contrary. I love you man. You are the best recruiter for Atheism on the whole site. By all means keep “making me look foolish” LOL!
ronsfi on April 19, 2009 at 6:39 PM
I see the oracle is in the house. If anyone needs to be b-slapped with the views of a stubborn mule, or needs to be told off with ignorant bliss – then just step on right4life’s hoof one time.
(Some folks are just all about my way or the I’m gonna bully you highway.)
ericdijon on April 19, 2009 at 6:40 PM
Well now, I certainly have seen more invitingly worded invitations to a party. Matter of fact, I have seen more invitingly worded invitations to a funeral.
MB4 on April 19, 2009 at 6:40 PM
I don’t have to do anything…all you have to do is post!
right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:41 PM
oh ‘bully’ poor babe! you atheists are just a sensitive lot, aren’t you?
right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:42 PM
Whoa! That was a close one! I almost lost a tooth. You know the one you still have? – That one.
ericdijon on April 19, 2009 at 6:46 PM
one more tooth, and one more brain than you have obviously…
right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:47 PM
Poor Reihan, he should have waited till the Indiana banquet to file his useless copy. but then it would have been useless, wouldn’t it?
promachus on April 19, 2009 at 6:48 PM
Seriously, we are not all going to agree on EVERY single conservative principle. The important thing is that what ever it is that keeps us together, we need to accentuate that and hope that we only move closer, and not farther apart.
Each of us have different lives, experiences and perceptions about politics.
The best thing for us to do is to debate on the issues we disagree about without taking it too personally.
Lord knows I’m guilty of being vitriolic with those here that I may disagree with on abortion, religion or whatever.
If we could be respectful of those of us who are in the same tent, only good could from it. MB4, for instance is an atheist, but I respect him and like him. I could go on.
I even like the true leftist trolls that we have on this site.
I think we all tend to take things way too seriously.
carbon_footprint on April 19, 2009 at 6:49 PM
Without Goldwater, Reagan would almost certainly never have become President. He could easily have done it without Buckley, however.
MB4 on April 19, 2009 at 6:49 PM
So, your other head has no teeth left at all? How do you split it all up? I mean which head works the bodily functions and which one spews vile comments?
ericdijon on April 19, 2009 at 6:49 PM
not a chance…there was no ‘conservative movement’ without buckley.
goldwater was just a bitter old LOSER. get over him.
right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:50 PM
Hah! Clearly the same thing spews from both ends.
ronsfi on April 19, 2009 at 6:50 PM
see my earlier posts about atheists thinking they’re the smartest people in the room, and disproving it with every post…
right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:52 PM
Buckley put down a pebble, Goldwater put down a rock and Reagan stood on the rock not the pebble. Reagan got his big break at the 1964 Republican convention where he delivered his much heralded speech praising Goldwater. You can’t change history.
MB4 on April 19, 2009 at 6:54 PM
I’m sorry, but you’ll need to prove it – I don’t sit at your hooves hanging on every bray.
ericdijon on April 19, 2009 at 6:55 PM
goldwater set the conservative movement back by at least a decade…he almost ruined it. please.
Reagan saved it from the disaster goldwater left…
right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:56 PM
You see my darling conservo droogies….Reihan represents the intellectual wing of the conservative movement….the heirs of WFB so to speak. Gingrich represents the political wing, the wideboyz. The third leg of the stool, the religious wing…..alas Dobson has ceeded his authority to the New Guard of young evangelicals, and Rick Warren has gone all Benedict Arnold…..perhaps you might arrange a seance with the cryogenically preserved head of Jerry Falwell to determine Sarah’s chances?
lol.
strangelet on April 19, 2009 at 6:56 PM
BTW, how is that big loser and fraud The High Reverend Huckleberry doing now? Is he planning on a big come back in 2012?

read your own posts, fat boy.
right4life on April 19, 2009 at 6:57 PM

I guess he will put his in the NYT.

deidre on April 19, 2009 at 6:59 PM
Before Goldwater the “conservative movement”, such as there was of it, wasn’t even worth a tinker’s damn.
MB4 on April 19, 2009 at 6:59 PM
Great. Now what am I gonna do. Just when I was getting a beat going, you go and toss logic clear out of your feed bag.
ericdijon on April 19, 2009 at 7:00 PM
If you think that MCcain is a Goldwater conservative then you are in more need of getting a clue than getalife is.
MB4 on April 19, 2009 at 7:01 PM
how many states did old barry win there in 64??? hmmm??
right4life on April 19, 2009 at 7:01 PM
Amen!!
Since we only see the few words that a person writes here, we tend to lose perspective that most of the people who post here are good people who happen to have strong political beliefs. I really enjoyed when Ed’s show had call in and we could hear some of the other commenters talk. You feel more connected to them when you hear their voice.
I also want to confess here that I’m sometimes more vitrolic here than I would like to be. It’s just easier to be vitrolic than to produce a good argument. I know I should try harder to make the good argument.

He’d have to get used to being called ‘Oreo’ and ‘Uncle Tom’ and worse every week as a politician, and likely for the rest of his life afterwards. Influential black males who advocate personal responsibility are not very popular – just ask poor old Bill Cosby.

: )
carbon_footprint on April 19, 2009 at 7:09 PM
And that is basically all it boils down to with you. Religion, religion and more religion, and then still some more religion, and your narrow version of religion, of course.
You are the textbook definition of a fanatic – one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject.
MB4 on April 19, 2009 at 7:12 PM
Eloquent.
ericdijon on April 19, 2009 at 7:16 PM
Zo is quite incisive and entertaining but the creationist dig just lends credence to the charge that the ChristCons want to reform the GOP into a Christian Party and a very narrow minded, backward version of Christianity in particular. I hope that is not the case because CreatiCons are the Rights version of Code Pink.
ronsfi on April 19, 2009 at 7:17 PM
Easy now. No one man can take credit for any movement. Even Jesus needed his disciples. Conservatism owes much to Reagan, Goldwater, Buckley, Friedman and Burke, as well as many others.
and I like Zo a lot. I haven’t watched him in a while but I remember when he was just on youtube doing his videos independently. I like his energy and his surprising eloquence mixed in with an urban attitude. Of course, I am sure he gets plenty of hate from the David Frum and Charles Johnson types.
Daemonocracy on April 19, 2009 at 7:25 PM
What creationist gig? All he said was that he believes in God based on the complexity of life. He never said anything about the Earth being 6,000 years old.
Daemonocracy on April 19, 2009 at 7:27 PM
You’re about to lose 20 minutes of your time…

Spirit of 1776 on April 19, 2009 at 7:42 PM
You have that feeling because that’s how you view all blacks–as beggars.
baldilocks on April 19, 2009 at 7:49 PM
MB4, well said my man. Fanatic, fundamentalist, whatever other similar term you want to use, right4 is the poster boy. He’s a very troubled individual and reflects poorly on conservatives and Christians everywhere.
dakine on April 19, 2009 at 7:49 PM
MB4: I’m just curious. Have you ever done a close read of the Constitution? The Declaration of the Independence? Have you studied the histories of the founding fathers? Might wanna try it sometime.
Driefromseattle on April 19, 2009 at 7:49 PM
Ah, I see that some of the “atheists” got their feelings hurt. Such is life.
baldilocks on April 19, 2009 at 7:53 PM
Drie, you may want to take your own advice.

Boom!
When is Zo getting into the Green Room?
conservative pilgrim on April 19, 2009 at 8:11 PM
You know what guys. We are only perpetuating these wack jobs that write in here with their stupidity hanging out all over the place. From now on lets ignore them. If they don’t get a response, maybe eventually they’ll dry up and go away.
It’s worth a try. Starting now!!!!EVERYONE IGNORE THE CRAZIES.

I get the impression that Frum and Meghan are posting under aliases here.
aikidoka on April 19, 2009 at 8:53 PM
Boy, have you got it reversed. It’s atheists and darwinists (that may be redundant) who are trying to force their world views on the rest of us. Scarcely a week goes by that some atheist doesn’t have a lawsuit (supported by ACLU of course) to ban some icon or mention of religion THAT HAS BEEN INPLACE SINCE THE INCEPTION OF THIS COUNTRY. That also includes creativism which is as old as the Jewish and Christian religions, 6000+ years. If anything dogmatic atheists are the ones that we have to fear as they try to drag the rest of us done into their oblivion.
docdave on April 19, 2009 at 8:59 PM
True, dat.
IrishEyes on April 19, 2009 at 8:59 PM
so what kinda theme does Zo need?
also, he’s absolutely right about everything he said on sex. its just not government’s place to enforce culture.

The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God.
Kjeil on April 19, 2009 at 9:16 PM
.
Just because it’s old does not make it right as we can demonstrate with any number of arcane beliefs. The GOP was never a “Christian” Party and it is not Atheists who are demanding primacy in the public square. Also some Atheists are not all Atheists just as it is with the religious. But don’t let that get in the way of demonizing us in order to assuage your resentment. Kill your TV to alleviate the propaganda overload.
ronsfi on April 19, 2009 at 9:18 PM
Wow, ernesto, we finally agree 100 percent on something.
Tennman on April 19, 2009 at 9:38 PM
it was bound to happen sometime!
ernesto on April 19, 2009 at 9:53 PM
No doubt about it: there are many absolutely brilliant atheists. And there are lots of absolutely brilliant Christians. So we have extremely intelligent folks who have diametrically opposed beliefs. How can this be?
I believe God intentionally arranged things so that the scientific, historical, and philosophical evidence alone would be less than overwhelming to prove his existence and his authority. You have to want, to seek, to love ultimate truth, regardless of the consequences, to find it. Fortunately, God promises that those who seek him wholeheartedly will find him. Unfortunately, most folks don’t want him, because they love sin and/or they think they know best how to live their lives (pride). To illustrate:
–Sir Julian Huxley, nicknamed “Darwin’s Bulldog”, was asked why the scientific community quickly embraced evolution, and he candidly responded, “I suppose the reason we leaped at The Origin of Species was because the idea of God interfered with our sexual mores.”
–Jesus Christ once rebuked the religious leaders who rejected him because of their pride: “How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another, and you do not want the glory that comes from God?” You have to humble yourself to receive glory from God.
Who has more credibility?
The atheist scholar gathers facts to bolster his position, as does the Christian scholar. But I believe that the atheist has some credibility problems. First, he doesn’t believe in an all-seeing Judge, so he has no motivation except pure altruism to honestly search for and propagate truth, and no human is constantly altruistic. In fact, I think Christians are far more likely to act altruistically. Second, when an atheist confidently asserts that he knows there is nothing in the universe except matter and energy (as Carl Sagan did shortly before he met his Maker), he probably hasn’t inspected the entire universe to see if this is true. It’s like saying, “I’ve never met a blue-eyed African American, so there are none.” Those who have met blue-eyed African Americans, like I have, will disagree, but the doubter may keep doubting.
When the Bible says,
The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God”,
it’s not speaking of a lack of intelligence. The Hebrew word translated “fool” here has a moral connotation, as in acting or believing foolishly.
jgapinoy on April 19, 2009 at 10:05 PM
What happened to Zo’s last episode of “Head in Butt”, it says that it’s been removed from youtube by user? Why?
