Sweet: Lou Dobbs dumps all over Olbermann and Garofalo

posted at 9:00 pm on April 17, 2009 by Allahpundit

A delicious treat to end a long week, as Dobbs spends six minutes grasping at words to convey his utter disgust for two of the most cretinous demagogues you’ll ever see. Happens to the best of us. At some point, you simply run out of synonyms for “vile.”

She totally snubbed Rush Limbaugh, too, when he dropped by the set of “24.” Why? Because she’s rebellious like that. Click the image to watch.

calling her a human being was rather generous

BobH on April 17, 2009 at 9:07 PM

She’s nuts…An easy target, but I feel a little sorry for her.

therightwinger on April 17, 2009 at 9:07 PM

Gotta love Lou. Now when is Fox going to give Dobbs a real run for his money at their weak slot – the 7PM slot? I can think of one way they could dominate that time slot… hire another CNNer ;)

She’s nuts…An easy target, but I feel a little sorry for her.

therightwinger on April 17, 2009 at 9:07 PM

Yeah… I wouldn’t feel so bad for her if she had her own show on MSNBC though…

Upstater85 on April 17, 2009 at 9:09 PM

I can’t stand Dobbs, but he was right about this one. I would say something insulting and degrading in an attempt to deride Garofalo, but it would be a waste. Her words and actions speak for themselves. Make daddy proud Janeane.

Stickeehands on April 17, 2009 at 9:10 PM

Lou, do you ever watch your own network’s Rick Sanchez and/or Jack Cafferty? Keith Olbermann : like shooting fish in a barrel, now, isn’t it.

Marcus on April 17, 2009 at 9:10 PM

Yep, Garofalo is a tool.

crr6 on April 17, 2009 at 9:10 PM

“I think she is just an appalling human being.”

I don’t think she’s a human being.

Not at all.

Corky on April 17, 2009 at 9:11 PM

All she has is hate. I hope its enough for her.

canditaylor68 on April 17, 2009 at 9:11 PM

Wow, such bravery from Garofalo.

Wow, I haven’t watched the Olby clip because Garofalo is like nails on a chalkboard for me… but just the clips Dobbs uses are outrageous. This is about hating a black man? WTF?

Anybody got a contact email for the producers of ‘24′?

I haven’t watched the clip yet but does anyone think it’s funny the “media” is turning on each other. So very odd.

Cindy Munford on April 17, 2009 at 9:19 PM

I think it is safe to say that Olberman/Garofalo fans and listeners are scoring 2’s and 3’s on this current events quiz.

(It is a consistent theme that when liberals make these broad, sweeping, bigoted, stereotypical assessments of people that don’t share their political views, they are never able to back them up with facts.
Kind of like that DHS report from Napolitano that even democrats are bitc# slapping her over.)

Patterico readers are of course a well-informed group. But you may be surprised at how clueless your fellow citizens are. The Pew Research Center has a simple, 12-question online quiz to test your knowledge of current events. None of the questions is at all tricky. Take the quiz and report back with a comment. And no cheating!

Baxter Greene on April 17, 2009 at 9:21 PM

There are times when Lou loses the thread…Old Perot-ist I think…this isn’t one of those times. High quality rant and Conservative or Libertarian will enjoy.

AUINSC on April 17, 2009 at 9:21 PM

If I were walking through the city and saw Garofalo in an alley getting the crap kicked out of her I’d giggle a little to myself and keep leisurely strolling along.

Spiritk9 on April 17, 2009 at 9:21 PM

Well Garafolo snubbed Rush Limbaugh. I can see why. He is one to the most influentual people in the country. She is a lightweight. She would not want to get caught up in a battle of ideas. LOL talk about being out gunned.

Well after I had heard a few of her comment a few months ago I started finding something else to watch when24 comes on.

Pelayo on April 17, 2009 at 9:25 PM

I feel sorry for her, too.

John the Libertarian on April 17, 2009 at 9:26 PM

I nearly stopped watching 24 because of her being on the show this season. But I keep on with the hope that I will get to see her get whacked!

conservnut on April 17, 2009 at 9:26 PM

Garofalo looks different than she did 10 or 15 years ago. Especially since she is apparently 44 years old. I think she has had plastic surgery, not that it has made her prettier. Normally I wouldn’t care. However, when militant feminists get plastic surgery, it shows what big hypocrites they are. She’s nothing more than the ugly girl who wanted to be the pretty popular girl and has channeled her resentment into making everyone else as miserable as she is.

Neal Boortz was invited on Rick Sanchez’s show yesterday and he was spitting nails about that reporter so he had every intension of discussing it. I emailed Ed quick like a bunny so he would be prepared and then Neal backed out. I was so bummed. He said he was too mad and that it would hurt Sanchez with his bosses. It would have been great TV.

Lou Dobbs is a reasonable American. I really think that many viewers who have grown suspicious of CNN’s intent, do not get to see the “jewel” in Lou Dobbs. I think if he joined FOX, he would draw in many new viewers who would respect his true journalistic skill. He is one of the most objective reporters out there. Your a good man, Lou.

It should be odd. Can you imagine the people we watched years ago even mentioning another station? But these days the world is just upside down. I think Beck might end up getting Sheps Time Slot. Those ratings are too hard to ignore. Besides, what does the Fox Report do these days anyway? Originally it was a combination of Tabloid News with Real News but now it’s just a flashier version of your typical nightly news cast. I haven’t watched the Fox Report in a long time.

I do miss Brit Hume though. Brett Baier just isn’t doing it for me. Hume and Wallace have a powerful on screen presence, Baier does not for whatever reason.

Originally fiscally conservative, Dobbs’ views changed from conservative to “Independent populist,” becoming a critic of the “excesses of capitalism,” which he identifies as globalization, offshore outsourcing, runaway film production (the outsourcing of Hollywood jobs),[8][9] illegal immigration, free trade deals, corporate/big business influence in government and the Bush administration’s tax cuts. He describes himself as an advocate of economic populism, warning that outsourcing and the U.S. trade and budget deficits threaten the American middle class. Dobbs tends to oppose long-run trade deficits and outsourcing for the sake of labor arbitrage to obtain cheap labor.

Garafolo lives in some kind of alternative universe where the 50’s never ended and she has to take brave stands against the legions of “racist” Americans around her.

She hopes that someday when she finally succeeds we will be a nation open to the idea of voting a black man for president.

Without a temporal phasic regulator, we might never be able to pull her back into the real timeline.

StubbleSpark on April 17, 2009 at 10:18 PM

So, if a black guy is in the White House, you cannot criticize him without being a racist?

Is that what this bigoted boob is blathering?

Garafolo is an asshat extraordinaire.

If Fox News could get Lou Dobbs, Rick Santelli, Zo, and Steve Crowder; CNN and MSNBC will be bankrupt and Fox News will be golden.

I just love being called a racist red neck because I don’t support Obama. That is so open minded and above board and fair and all that sh*t.

From the photo I wasn’t aware Elvis Costello had shaved.

Oh, never mind.

That is her picture, she was actually attractive at one point in her career.
Just looking at her face now I would speculate serious meth use or lots of old fashioned speed or maybe coke.
Age has not been good to that woman.
