Awesome: Chicago tea partiers confront CNN hack after hit piece; Update: Hack did puff piece on lefty protests in January
posted at 2:05 pm on April 16, 2009 by Allahpundit
A seamless conclusion to the smear job heard ’round the world, thanks to some amazingly fortuitous timing by Founding Bloggers. On a day when the grassroots came out to protest the establishment, it’s fitting that a small indie outfit like FB would end up putting the screws to CNN this way. What’s most striking is how savvy the protesters are about the game Roesgen’s playing: They know exactly why she zeroed in on the guy with the Obama/Hitler sign, and it ain’t because of his grasp of economics. Stick with it until the end or else you’ll miss the astounding nerve of this disingenuous moron, who just spent three minutes on national television sneering at the people around her, to say to the woman who’s yelling at her, “You know, you really don’t need to be so antagonistic.” Content warning.
Update: Here’s something from the CNN vault that Breitbart.com just dug up. Note the final line. Did superhack utter it at any point yesterday?

Trying to put the fragments together here… are you implying that Democrats are leftists and were not likely to be in attendance because they favor high taxes?

CNN needs a bailout – of the bilge that’s up to its crews’ ears.
Akzed on April 16, 2009 at 2:59 PM
Apparently a demonstration of 10 or 12 people is to be taken as the voice of the people, but when hundreds of thousands show up it’s just evil nutcases….
Hint you you tards at CNN: When your crew outnumbers the people who are protesting it’s probably not newsworthy.

Was this CNN reporter auditioning to work under Keith Oberman at MSNBC?

Why would a “reporter” think it’s her duty to act as a counter-protester? Huzzah to the woman who got in Susan’s face. I hope she doesn’t get Joe-the-plumbered now!

How many windows were smashed? How many cars turned over? How many businesses harassed? How much graffiti was used to deface buildings? How many people were arrested? How many cops were injured?
No wonder they assume it was a Conservative protest. Nothing was destroyed. Loud and peaceful. It scares the hell out of them.

…Coverage, gross over saturation, funding producing crowds whose proximity invaded the privacy of all the Crawford residents.
Just as Sheehan signed her own pink slip campaigning against Democrats, the video featuring Dan Pearson showed the same thing happens to nice people who campaign against the Democrat leaders. It starts with the cold shoulder before exposure to the elements takes its full toll.
BTW, who else noticed how quiet the Chicago Tea Party crowd were until the CNN Roesger antagonized the dad w/baby. She asks him a question, refuses to acknowledge his answer, supplies her own, and labels him an ugly anti-government American unfit for family viewing. CNN went to the party specifically to disturb the peace.
Having publicly made herself a judge over all who attended, Roesger’s past student life activities would be of interest, “wrapping up” the story. I’d wager she’s attended a few student rallies in her day, and that her activities were not always fit for family viewing.

My hat’s off to the lady that confronted that CNN chick.
Did you all notice how it seemed that much of what the lady was telling the CNN chick seemed to be “new news” to her. Like her having to be told that folks just learned about this from the internet, etc.
I think I would have had to have accidentally spit on her or something.

What a disrespectful “female dog”! It’s not her place as a journalist to confront this guy and take the administration’s point of view. She’s ignorant and stupid too! Will $13 more a week make a difference in anyone’s life? NO! Does she even know or care that they’re just printing or borrowing the so called “stimulus money”? Printing all of this money will devalue it and make it worthless! Mark my words! Why do you think “smart people” are buying gold and silver as fast as they can? I’m glad that woman confronted her and that someone was filming! We’re going to have to start are own free lance networks and get in their faces to film them as was done here! Excellent!

Why didn’t Roesgen just turn the camera on herself and make her anti-Tea Party speech as a commentator instead of masquerading as a journalist? CNN may as well have sent Michael Moore to bullsh*t his way through this “report”.
Crusty on April 16, 2009 at 3:23 PM
OK, folks, it seems the Lefties have their talking points out now:
– If Fox News can’t produce a “liberal” who protested at one of the Tea Parties, they can all be dismissed as mere sour-grapes loser Republican rallies.
– Fox News was behind all of these Tea Parties, because…well, just because we hate Fox News.
– Did we forget to mention WE HATE FOX NEWS???

I was “iffy” at first, when FOX News was promoting and widely reporting on the tea parties.
But with MSNBC dragging the “teabagging” joke to literal death, and with that CNN ultra-biased piece, I’m glad they did.
Not that hypocrisy is anything new to the Dem’s, but for them to ad nauseum call FOX News “biased” is simply amazing.

It must be, because I was at the Chicago Tea Party yesterday and missed this brouhaha CAUSED BY A CNN REPORTER! What irony. Actually, it was such a peaceful, enthusiastic rally. I asked the Chicago police assigned to the event if everything had been peaceful, they all said yes.
This infraction occurred in a corner of the Federal plaza and was really the only controversial incident. Surprised she didn’t come over to our side and interview the 9-11 Truther passing out pamphlets!
And Thank God for Founding Bloggers!!!

They just can’t understand the concept that the people at the tea parties say…..’God Bless America’ NOT ‘God D*mn America’ like their messiah.

I think we should all call the FCC and complain that our children are asking what ‘teabagging’ means……..

But now contrasting it to the puff piece of the second video with the marxist idiots demanding universal health care etc., I am outraged.
In essence she is legitimizing those calling for theft via government, and marginalizing the people being rolled by the government.
She has it backwards!!!
We should be demanding a la cart cable & satellite television. With bundling we are subsidizing this b^tch. You can call your cable or satellite company and have CNN removed, but because you have purchased a bundle you are still paying for CNN. We need to hit them in their pocketbook.

Lots of indoctrinated children? I think you are seeing it wrong. Lots of children being brought there because more than anyone else its their future being sold to the government. They deserve to be there more than anyone, they are going to wind up paying the bill!
Indoctrination involves blindly following an ideology, Im willing to bet most of those parents want their kids able to make the choice for themselves rather than let the government do it for them or pressure them into it.

ddrintn on April 16, 2009 at 5:00 PM
I hate to say it but the guy holding the baby is a moron. Why bring a kid that young to an angry protest? It’s just the kind of thing that gets my goat when I see left wing protests. The idiot was walking around holding that poor kid, in the middle of hundreds of fired up people some of whom were shouting – and he’s holding a child, shouting and screaming in anger. That’s the kind of thing that can really scare a baby and to be honest his kid didn’t look too happy.
I’m also pissed about people using their kids to hold signs and banners at these types of events. On the whole the protests were 1000x more civilized than your average gathering of angry left wing savages, but dammit I really wish the morons would stay at home because they’re just ammunition for the left. For example, the guy who was holding a sign which showed a white hand giving money to a black hand. How could you NOT think that was going to be seized upon as an example of racism? The 99% of decent, street-savvy people at these things really need to crack down on and show zero tolerance to the nutjobs and idiots, because the liberal media is going to these events specifically to look for them and we know they are.
