Video: Glenn Beck interviews Ted Nugent at the Alamo

A surprisingly subued GB at the site of America’s Masada finds the nearest guitar hero/libertarian and queries him as to whether he’s in favor big government or not. Surprise: Not. Always a good idea to give air time to people who have invited the president to suck on his gun.
If you want to see the Nuge shred the national anthem, click here.

No, your statement make you look like and even bigger troll. You still haven’t answered how you can absolve so many on the left for draft dodging and hold Nugent to account. But I suppose those on the left have never needed a justification for a double standard. You guys live on them. Nugent deals with his shortcomings and embarrassments head-on. You just avoid yours. That makes you a lot bigger coward than him.

There are worse things than dying, Ted Nugent. With my little ring I can take you apart molecule by molecule and then put you back together again. And maybe I put you back together right and maybe I don’t. But you’ll be alive and conscious for every second of it.

Today I have witnessed to most coordinated Troll Seige on Hot Air since I have been here. They are all trying deperately to de-rail the Tea Party Threads and are all epically failing. From Getaclue to Strange Brew to Cappy (Deb Frisch), they cannot accomplish their goal. They are all very miserable people having a very miserable day.
Pitiful. Just Pit-i-ful.
God Bless America!

I WAS THERE! IT WAS AWESOME!! Whew, just had to get that out of my system. I was at the Alamo from 11 am today until 8pm, and I just want to tell ALL you HAers, it was a most excellent experience. EVERYONE was very well behaved, we were all friendly, polite and had a great time! Best of all was the fact that we could freely express our opinions – what a great country. People were passionate but not ugly. Over and over again the organizers and ALL speakers emphasized that this is NOT about Democrats or Republicans, but about Government spending, taxation – ok I am singing to the choir here, I know. No one talked down America, yet everyone “got the point”, we need to REFORM our government.
If I can find out how to send pics, I took a million. The signs were varied and imaginative.

The essence of the Tea Parties as I see it is this. There is frustration and worry about runaway Federal spending that saddles devastating debt on future generations and protesting the swallowing of private industry by the Feds.
So trolls, explain why you now support massive debt and nationalization of the private sector.
You know, give us subtance and reason.

ArmyAunt on April 15, 2009 at 10:05 PM
They can’t. That’s the inherent problem with statism/collectivism. Their attitude is that we are selfish for wanting to keep our money that we earned. Yet they have no problem giving money to individuals that did not earn it. Go figure.
Here’s another typical statist/collectivist response to the tea party.

Hey, does anybody remember when the left was cool with draft dodgers and people who refused to serve? Remember how cool they were with those American soldiers who went to Canada to avoid serving in Iraq. And those were people who volunteered to serve in the armed forces. They were heroes to the left.
Wait, I think there was someone else too. Oh yeah, President Clinton. That’s when draft dodgers were really cool. Now, I guess, they are scum. Just remember, though, that the left actually elected one President. And he never even admitted that he regretted dodging the draft. At least Nugent has grown up and regrets it. And nobody on our side is saying that Nugent should be President.
The left loves draft dodgers, except when they don’t.

Nothing scares the Left more than seeing ordinary, hard working Americans take to the streets. They know they are sincere. They know they aren’t being paid to be there. They know they aren’t there looking for handouts or patronage jobs. They know they are there because they are fed up and want REAL change. The kind of change that makes their attempts to truly control this country that much harder. Tonight I can smell the fear in the air.

I saw this over at Instapundit:
KANSAS CITY STAR: Desperate to Dismiss The Tea Parties. “Democrats and other skeptics are desperate to dismiss the tea parties that popped up across the country today. . . . This eagerness to explain away this movement is telling, suggesting the skeptics see these gatherings as a real threat. Certainly the tea parties have an anti-Obama slant, but what we’re seeing is something outside the normal dynamics of Democrat-Republican tension. . . . It isn’t clear yet what the tea party movement is all about, but it can’t be dismissed as something that simply arose from shadowy GOP organizers.”

“a French farmer protest with 200 tractors and a bunch of manure dumped around Paris”
Considering that the French government always capitulates unconditionally to a brigade of manure spreaders, perhaps you should change your comparison — unless you mean that you think these protests will, in fact, be effective.
“impotent back-patting teabagging parties.”
Sounds more like you’re reliving your last weekend escapade in the city park mens’ rooms, than actually observing today’s protests. Projection is hard to avoid, I guess.

I suppose the fact that TN came out of his soiled clothes whilst the majority of the donothins remain in theirs is lost upon you turds.
I saw an Uncle Sam twerp in full dress today carrying a sign that was pasted together with 4-6 matte boards on a big pvc frame. His plain dressed gfrnd carried another like made.
His sign read:
Social Programs
=/SocialismHers was something like:
No Taxes = …
no police
no library
no whatever
no whatever (wasn’t real interested after 1-2 lines of the 8-10 listed)
I was walking back to my car as the pair passed by me in the parking lot. Miss libby gleefully said to her beau:

Nugent is AWESOME.
Ya know … I like how Allah trashes our Conservative “heros on the edge”.
It’s really a politeness that is not shared on the left – I’m still waiting for someone on the left to trash Michael Moore.
But it’s just such politeness as Allah’s that has kept Conservatives in the majority and in control of this country. Because the people want leadership from nice people who say nice things – and call out their own when they go a bit over board. American’s would never vote for a radical philosophy or for candidates who endorsed, or were silent about the excess of Mike Moore.
