Unreal: CNN reporter openly contemptuous of tea parties

posted at 3:25 pm on April 15, 2009 by Allahpundit

A tour de force of bias via TV Newser, from her sarcasm to her Fox-bashing to her badgering a guy who’ll be paying off Obama’s monstrous deficits for decades about why he isn’t satisfied with a $400 tax break this year. The title of the clip is “CNN Reporter Roughed Up at Chicago Tea-Party,” which, as you’ll see, is a transparent lie unless you consider the crowd yelling at her to stop cutting off the people she’s interviewing as “rough.” But that’s par for the course for the narrative being organized here: A nasty, violent, ignorant crowd, all doing the bidding of CNN’s sinister competitor. Stay classy, Turnerites.

Do these reporters not realize how stupid they sound? She wanted to pick a fight with that man and it wasn’t working so she resorts to the talking points handed out at yesterday’s meeting. And they wonder why their ratings are tanking. They can’t even pull this one off without looking stupid.

- by the way, does it hurt not being able to think?

sannhet on April 15, 2009 at 3:54 PM

Fox News did not start this protest! It started spontaneously. People who have never spoken in public and have never protested have felt the outrage. They were finding others who felt the same way. Fox was a relatively newcomer to the deal. Santelli’s rant helped us all find a voice, but our local protest in downtown Tulsa was started by a private citizen. He’s new at it, but has done a fine job. Fox helped us cover this because no MSM media would give us a fair shake (witness this video from CNN). But it is a MSM lie that Fox started this.

Christian Conservative on April 15, 2009 at 3:54 PM

it’s time for the adults to take over.

CDeb on April 15, 2009 at 3:54 PM

What the MSM doesn’t get is that they are turning mad citizens into crusaders. Their cabal of corruption is damn near treasonous.

Have no idea that this supposed meme they’re pushing of “right wing extremists” is nothing of the sort- but their very neighbors.

ChipDWood on April 15, 2009 at 3:47 PM

I am so depressed.

But I am going to a Tea Party soon, and there were over 10000 in Nashville and and big crowd in Birmingham today. Got an email on several really good turnouts around the country.

eaglesdontflock on April 15, 2009 at 3:55 PM

The reporter is just following the meme that right wingers are “extremists”. Any right winger who dares speak out against, or assemble against any Obama adminstration policy is an “extremist”.

In essence anyone who doesn’t want the productive to pay for the non-productive, who doesn’t want the government stealing money to fund it’s army of drones, who doesn’t want millions of illegals pouring into this country to overwhelm our health care and social services and who don’t want to work just to have the government take it is an “extremist”.

All these attempts to paint average hard working law abiding people as something they’re not will backfire spectacularly and CNN is adding fuel to the fire.

One of the most ignorant statements I’ve heard today.

Tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands are protesting mindless deficit spending and debt growth for our children to pay, and the majority of ‘news’ organizations are ignoring it.

Keeping your head in the sand, or wherever you have it, doesn’t make you less of an ignorant hypocrite accepting the lies Obama told you to get his vote.

Where does the government get its money anyway? While 65 percent understand the government’s money is their taxpayer dollars at work, some 24 percent think the federal government has “plenty of its own money without using taxpayer dollars.”

This is such a weak point. I am 23. I am going to have to pay for this stuff after Obama gets out of office. Who do you think is going to pay down the debt? How do you expect that to happen? You can tax “the rich” 100% and still not pay this debt off for generations. My taxes are going to go up, and I will most likely be paying more then if he would just raise my taxes now because I will probably be making more money when I am older. Hence, I am screwed by Obama’s policy of “Lets borrow as much money as possible and implement as much government programs as possible now, let future administrations and the unborn worry about paying it down.”

and of course the suits at CNN will continue to wonder why they get their brains beat out by Fox.

CNN’s lead “talking head”, who appears there 7 days a week, only got the job because he moved into their broadcast center in Atlanta and refused to leave. He didn’t even study journalism in college.

All bias, all bull. THE most busted name in news, as well.

That dumb reporter just harassed a father with his 2 year-old as if he is a criminal. Liberals are off their rockers.
Look at what conservative dissent does, derangement in the media.

This lady validates the term, “liberalism is a mental disorder”. I only wish I had been there. I have lots to say to anyone who works at CNN.

When cons counter with childish insults, I win the argument.

So I guess MSNBC – “The Place for P#nis Jokes” – lost big time.

L.N. Smithee on April 15, 2009 at 4:11 PM

Take Lou Dobbs away from CNN and their ratings would be on the level of MSNBC. Liberals would be more tolerable if their perceptions of reality were even remotely based on what is actually happening.

When people respond to trolls, the trolls are still losers.
