Sweet: Michelle and Cavuto at the Sacramento tea party

posted at 8:22 pm on April 15, 2009 by Allahpundit

A gratifying treat for fans of the boss. No one’s worked harder in the blogosphere to promote the tea parties. Here’s her moment of triumph. Awesome — even if she is hard on Republicans, like me, who supported TARP.

186,564 attendees today and counting, according to PJTV.

I attended this rally and there were 5000+ people attending.

Awww. I guess Michelle didn’t get my invitation to come to PHX’s rally.

jgapinoy on April 15, 2009 at 8:25 PM

I like Neil and I like Michelle, so I enjoyed this quite a bit. I really enjoyed the “happy warrior” bit at the end. No youths burning cars today, or hippies burning effigies.

I’d call it a tie with this guy.

LastRick on April 15, 2009 at 8:29 PM

Cavuto asks if libs will get credit for the signs of economic recovery. They shouldn’t:
– the porkulus spending hasn’t hardly kicked in yet
– recessions always turn around eventually

jgapinoy on April 15, 2009 at 8:31 PM

Now the question becomes:

How do you get a crowd of that size to DC?

Imagine 100,000+ in front of the White House.

Make that happen and THEN you can talk about making heads roll…

HornetSting on April 15, 2009 at 8:36 PM

Good point about who the leaders of the party should be, i.e. seeing Rush, MM, etc. as a merely conduit for information, while keeping our eyes open for elected representatives who support the views expressed at the protests and rewarding them.

Hey guys and gals. Just thought I’d report in and let you know that I went to the Woodlands tea party. They were expecting 600 people, but they had that at 5:00. By 7:00 there were over three thousand. Our kids were reaching their end so we left at 7:20, but it’s going to go on until 9:00. It was great. Lots of families. Every demographic represented, and the only time it got “mean” was when an elected Republican got on the stage to speak. Heh. It was GREAT!

A Repub governor that (somewhat) gets it……although he did take stimulus $$$

Governor Mitch Daniels is pleased to see the protesters.

“It’s very refreshing,” Daniels told WIBC talk show host Greg Garrison.

Governor Daniels says it is a rare occasion when citizens come down and speak for the public interest in less spending and taxes.

Daniels told Garrison he would like to see the protests more often.

He’s either:

– trying to cover all the bases and keep all options open to attract any mate who is potentially acceptable to him, or

– looking for a mate who demonstrates strong mothering instincts,

– making contradictory statements that don’t have anything to do with his desire for mating at all and instead are just another dramatic plot development in his inciteful character, like they have in soap operas just before the commercial break.

Or, it could be something else.
