Sharpton: Pirates really a “voluntary Coast Guard”

posted at 2:55 pm on April 15, 2009 by Ed Morrissey

Via Powerline’s John Hinderaker, who calls this “beyond parody”. Oh, come on, John. I mean, our own Coast Guard routinely steals ships, shoots crew members, and demands millions in ransoms, right? Right? …

John’s right. You can’t make this stuff up. This man stood on the dais in Democratic Presidential debates in 2003-4. How many other Democrats want to make reference to “so-called pirates”? Arrrrrr.

I am the parent of two sons serving active duty in the Coast Guard. Sharpton just insulted 45,000 fine men and women. He’s a piece of trash.

Wonder if he’d be in favor of Vikings?

If Al Racebait Sharpton and Megan McTwinkieCain had kids, the Apocalypse would be a sure thing.

But i for one would be willing to risk it for the Reality TV hilarity of the their progeny and the many many many moments of politipop culture they would be sure to give.

Actually just think they could combine right now and push for legalized marriage for butt-pirates volunteer coast guard members.

Two phrases come to mind from my years in the Coast Guard

“In God we trust. The rest we bust.”

“You sink ‘em. We save ‘em.”

I was puzzling over Rev. Al’s terminology until I remembered that other phrase…

“Any ships within range will be boarded with the intent to kill and steal. We will extort money from private companies or governments where possible and we will intimidate, injure and murder as many people as we can. Our approach to the day to day life at sea is one of mayhem and piracy.”

It wasn’t a popular saying and it didn’t fit well on our t-shirts.

obviously these utes were just “misunderstood”. and they had to earn a living for their families somehow. it isn’t like they could farm their way to multimillion dollar riches.

Now now, we must be patient with dear uncle Al. He is feeling so unimportant now that a black man is in the White House. How can he call us a racist country any more? He is a man that is lost for a new message and grasping at straws.

Hey Al, go run off and play in your friggin free sandbox and shut the hell up.

Turds have formed a union and voted to expell Al Sharpton. He is an embrassment to them.
