I’ll stand with Dr. Evil on this one. It’s the only good way to slow down the bribery that’s stolen our representative government. Note that left to Congress we get McCain-Feingold where the people surrender 1st Amendment rights and the money stream actually grew.

We need Term Limits +. There should be at least one election cycle between being termed out of one post and running for another. And No Repeats.

The strongest argument against it is that it increases the influence of the civil service bureaucracy. That requires some thought.

He is noticeably more progressive now than in years past having altered his principles to the latest poll. The Republican Party is totally corrupt and sold out to what they perceive as an inevitable march to socialism. There is not a single one in the GOP who argues free-market capitailism. They are all poll-watching cowards with the possible exception of Tom Coburn.

It drives me crazy how many conservatives are still hanging on to the GOP corspe. As much as I love the guy, Hugh Hewitt, is the prototype. Smart as a whip but incapable of admitting he’s beating a dead horse. It pains me to hear him interview his favorite Republican hypocrits as they proudly extol their brave but fruitless resistance to the Democrat onslaught. These same pigs greedily confiscated more public money than any Congress in history when they were in power. If they had any honor they would have taken the Grassley way out and slit their bellies hara-kiri style.

How much more malfeasance by the GOP is required to convince our conservative brothers and sisters that this party is DEAD?

Without a job here is better than without a job in Mexico. They aren’t going anywhere, just as entitlements and other unconstitutional Federal power grabs aren’t going anywhere.

Finishing the fence is something that’s doable. There are other constructive things we can do that are possible. “Shoving” them back is a delusion.

John McCain said that the problem with the Reagan era immigration reform was that the law enforcement provisions were not enforced. He kept saying that the intention of the 2007 “comprehensive immigration reform” was to have law enforcement. But, after the defeat of that effort at “comprehensive immigration reform,” McCain acknowledged that the people did not believe there would be law enforcement.

So, no law enforcement, nothing to talk about. Even John McCain should at this point agree with that position.

Imagine my joy to hear a DEA agent say that Gwinnett County, GA is the drug cartel’s center in America. Georgia is another sanctuary state, our governor has done absolutely nothing about the flow of illegals. Four years ago, a female was shot while she was driving her car on Jimmy Carter Boulevard. She was caught in the cross fire between two gangs. So far, kidnappings have only been occurring between the illegals, but how long before another innocent civilian gets caught in the cross fire and dies just like that young woman?

As I have said many times before, you do not want your city or state mirroring mine. There is no such thing as a hardworking, law-abiding illegal.

You and Me Both, they did whatever Bush told them to do or if he told them to vote against one of his proposals for political cover they did that. These two are see through.

How does one absorb 14 million people bureaucratically? Think about it, this is an empty promise to illegals. For one, the people in the immigration department can’t take care of the paper work for the people entering the country legally. So 14 million are going to get dumped on them at once, and magically they get made citizens? Maybe they will use the DMV model LOL! So what happens if 14 million people get made citizens. First Corporations will have to pay them a fair wage and they get all the protection of the Country and no more exploitation. Is that what Corporate America really wants? They own the politicians so will this really be resolved? More then likely this is just being brought up to distract everyone from the state of the Economy, Job loss Bail Outs, Spending, our Taxes are going to sky rocket…so the Politicians want to get reelected in 2010 what better way then to have us all bickering with each other and blaming illegal immigrants. When was the last time anyone here wanted to pick lettuce for a living?

Often times, even if they are illegal they have a family member who is not and who they are worried SICK will be seperated from them by the INS. ditto. I’ve sent several ‘Thank you’ emails to Cornyn this session (although I was pretty pissed about the Geithner deal) and none to Hutchison . I prefer that she drops out of politics entirely.

Cornyn was strongly opposed to it, but he been reelected since the last amnesty debacle. I like John and talk to him numbers of times, but he a damn politician. You never know what these people are going to do. It will be interested to see if Cornyn revert to the Bush, McCain, Graham’s way of thinking. Now Kay Bailey Hutchinson has been in bed with Berry on almost everything. This woman want to be the new Governor. I not crazy about Rick Perry, but personally, I will take Perry before Kay Bailey anytime.
