I thought I could watch Hannity after that reprehensible Alan Colmes left, but now it’s worse than ever. He has left wing nutjobs on the show that are worse that Colmes!

Glenn certainly finds creative ways to make a point. Fans of Redeye can fully appreciate the use of Bill Schulz.

I wish Fox Nes would forget all of this “Fair and balanced” crap and just go right wing. It’d be so much easier to watch.

Really, so self control has nothing to do with it? If you don’t send people to Washington who practice self restraint in their daily lives, they sure as hell aren’t going to practice restraint when given the keys to the kingdom.

When government is made of the people, you should probably elect the most capable and not the shiniest.

Restraint? Do you think Beck is going to tackle someone or kill someone he doesn’t agree with? What are you talking about? As long as he is recognizing the rule of law, then he is with in the realm of Conservatism. That’s the only restraint he needs. We’re talking specifically about personality here, which is what you are objecting to. His mannerisms, his demeanor, his tone, but I am focusing on his words and personally find his antics entertaining and harmless.

As far as electing the “shiniest”, Beck is a TV personality, not a candidate. Spare me the Red Herrings.

I think you are the one mistaken. Well, maybe not when referring to Michael Savage. Michael Savage does not belong in the same sentence as Rush Limbaugh. But to think that anyone represents conservatism better than Rush Limbaugh shows either a lack of understanding of what conservatism is or a lack of knowing anything about Rush (or both).

Look, here’s the point: we want elite athletes on our sports teams, elite scientists making the discoveries and elite engineers designing our infrastructure. Not one of you would accept a self taught doctor when it comes to surgery. Far too many of you are comfortable with incompetents and their water carriers spreading conservatism to the masses.

I’ll keep my elites, thank you. You enjoy listening to the likes of Beck, Limbaugh, Savage and whatever. If you think that they will eventually help conservatism, you are sadly mistaken.

I’m worried that more people will take him and Alex Jones seriously. He certainly isn’t a threat to me. Enjoy the wilderness as you force out people who can actually do stuff.

Well, you’re wrong. Conservatism is about restraint. Side show freaks, like Beck, make the movement a joke. Express yourself all you want. Heck, I expect that you’ll get your wish and then all the RINO’s will leave the party. All that will be left is the snake oil salesmen and those who want the quick cure.

Conservatism is about Government restraint. Restraint of those in power, not the individual. That is Authoritarianism. And when the hell did I bring up RINOs?

It was an awesome show. He went into more detail about his “fascism” speak and toned down his antics to try and put things into context. Obviously a response to some of the attention he had been getting, but nothing apologetic. Instead he brought on some of the most credible minds to back up his message. Jonah Goldberg being one. Now let’s see if those who spend most of their time being embarassed for their own, try to attack Jonah Goldberg.

Beck is a character but he is making strong points with direct and simple language and is getting people to listen. We keep talking about getting the conservative message out to a broader audience and Beck is doing just that.

No, he isn’t. It’s the opposite. The combined reach of cable news doesn’t even come close to the big three networks. He’s nothing but a buffoon that seems to entertain the fringe. I think he’s a fool.

Actually, it is entirely about restraint in governance. It doesn’t require a Harvard education to understand. It doesn’t require some idiot with a giant clown nose to spread it.

I had no idea that xenophobia and conspiracy theories coupled with distinct flair for fear mongering was what conservatism is all about. Thanks, Glenn, for spreading the message to the masses!

With 20% LESS available audience at 5pm. Glenn is beating the other three networks combined in his time slot, and everybody else except O’Reilly, Hannity, and the O’Reilly rerun.

Just have fun with it. Standing by and saying/doing nothing got us where we are today.

LGF has dropped off my radar. I stopped reading Sullivan once he became an obsessive, one-issue-all-the-time blogger and I have stopped visiting LGF since the obsessive ranting started against European political groups and, now, his crusade against the Discovery Institute. Both issues have some interest but certainly do not warrant the amount of time and vitriol Johnson throws at them.

We ain’t seen nothing yet.

Charles deletes comments that reflect poorly on LGF and would be used against him by his critics, usually on the left, to cast LGF, and by extension, all conservatives, as crackpots, warmongers, racists, whatever.

So in other words, he bans anyone he wants based on his personal philosophy. Sounds lame to me.

YOU don’t like the way Beck presents himself. That’s YOUR opinion. Don’t drag Conservatism into this. Conservatism is a list of deeply held core values, not some sort of rules for behavior or cult. It has nothing to do with controlling one’s personality or how they pitch their message.

Maybe you havent been paying attention but we been getting our asses beat by those liberals. Maybe adopting some of their tactics is in order….attention spans being short and all.

Or, you know, you might, well, GOVERN LIKE CONSERVATIVES. Maybe you haven’t been paying attention, but the party of small government and fiscal restraint spent their entire time in power increasing the scope of government and spending beyond their means.

Meanwhile, they decided that HUGELY IMPORTANT ISSUES like gay marriage and stem cells were how to stay in power. Was power at any price worth it? Why, no it wasn’t because you ended up with someone much worse.

You couldn’t beat him because you have no credibility on the core tenets of the organization.
