The Minneapolis Star-Tribune (via Michelle Malkin) reports that the FBI has raided some money transfer organizations that may be a front for Somali Muslims who’ve been recruited to serve in al Qaeda…

Just to bring HA readers up to speed, last week four Somali gunman stormed into an Invite-Only House Party hosted by Americans, and shot up 7 people. They sprayed gunfired by an automatic weapon all over the House. They were arrested a half hour later by Lakeville Police, drunk, and denying any participation in the shooting.

The incident was reported only in the local Pionneer Press newspaper, and a brief mention in the Minn. Star-Tribune and other Minnesota papers.

ONLY! the Pioneer Press listed the names of the perpetrators, which were clearly Muslim. The others avoided listing the names.

One had to dig deep in local Blog reports to uncover that they were Somali immigrants.

They must have been listening to Rush or Hannity or even Glenn Beck! Seriously, I consider myself very up to date on current events and I’ve heard nothing about this! Scary what the media considers what’s important to report and not report.

However, if a newspaper says “Somali gunmen” there really isn’t any need to list the names. People will draw their own stereotypical racial profiling conclusions.

If a bunch of Americans of Spanish origin did this the newspapers certainly wouldn’t print SPANISH HOUSE SHOOTING.

It’s not ridiculous. All one need do is look at Europe to see what has happened due to the massive immigration of Muslims to the continent. It will happen here, these are patient people and they now have a sympathetic president.

I would too. I think Obama is aware we have serious threats, I’m assuming he gets daily briefings (when he’s not on world tours, anyway). He has continued the strikes in Pakistan, although who knows for how much longer. He’s committed to Afghanistan, although I think it was kind of a slap in the face that he got so little support from other countries to join us in that effort. We’re not the only country at risk, you know. I personally don’t think we can win a war in Afghanistan, but what do I know. I’d rather see troops stabilize the Horn but I don’t know if that’s feasible either.

I agree with both of these statements broadly but we should be somewhat paranoid. A couple dozen,50-100,…how many does it take to pull off something spectacular? Targeted assassinations and suicide bombings could trigger an existential threat if planned well enough and after 9/11 nothing would suprise me especially with nuclear proliferation spiraling out of control.

I’m not willing to give up anymore of my freedoms to deal with it but I would hope the government will act decisively and forcefully in all cases.
Oh wait, Obama is our Commander in chief…..never mind

Real paranoia like ……Omamanomics?

Somolia is a failed rogue state and is known to have functioned and continue to function as a safe harbor for radical jihadists.

But more on point, it is reasonable to believe that there are indeed thousands of muslims in the States who are comfortable with various forms of terrorism. Prior to 9/11 Hezbullah and Hamas fund raising in the States was fairly well known and widespread. While much of this activity has gone underground since 9/11 it still continues.

Well this shooting was done by (muslim) Somalis, not those bad, white conservatives.

The MSM only reports on those.

I also would like to know where all the millions of dollars are going that the Somali pirates are extorting from the owners of captured ships.

One day, the Democratic Party will elect a person as POTUS who will immediately begin the nationalization of the banking, healthcare, and heavy manufacturing industries, giving one person the authority to fire top managers, set salary and wages of private and publicly-owned commercial enterprises, allow courts to re-write contracts, and establish a nation-wide reaction force for use during national disasters.

Sounds like something Ross Perot would say during a presidential campaign. What a kook!

There is a lot of paranoia going around and some of these sites are fueling it. The last thing “cons” need is to become known as the paranoid party. Deal with credible threats, not unfounded ones, like “tens of thousands” of sleeper cells lurking in the dark boogeyland waiting to take over our government and legislate us into the abyss is, I’d say, being a wee bit paranoid.

However, these money transfer places are legitimate targets to be scrutinized – they’re great enablers of terrorism. But then again, so are the bullsh*t “secret” banking bozos in Switzerland.

To the left, Muslims have become the ultimate oppressed minority, admired for their willingness to kill their Western “capitalist oppressors”. The political and military chaos spread by Muslim terrorism has allowed the left to gain its victories, most notably in Spain, Israel and now America. This has always been a fundamental doctrine for the left, ever since Lenin’s days, to transform military warfare into class warfare… or more currently into racial warfare.

And while the left employs Muslims and Muslim Terrorism as political leverage to gain power in America and Israel, and imports large numbers of Muslim immigrants into Europe [and America!] to secure political victories at the polls… Islamists see the left as once again a convenient way to pave their path to power. It is doubtful that the Islamic Republic of Iran would have existed had the left not joined forces with Ayatollah Khomeni. A similar situation too is now unfolding in Egypt. And in Europe. And given time in America as well.

The FBI raided three money-transfer businesses in the Minneapolis area yesterday. Minneapolis is home to the largest Somali community in the US. Since last year, at least 2 dozen Somali youths have gone back to Somali to wage jihad with……

Yes, that is how three Somali men (former refugees*) reacted to their disappointment at finding not enough women at a party in a Minneapolis suburb a couple of weeks ago. We first told you about the story here, but now more details on the charges are coming to light. The question is does this story go in our Somali category and cross-referenced in our mentally deranged immigrant category? Well, actually we have neither category, but am sorry we don’t the way things are going.

They arrived to party but didn’t see enough girls, so they demanded their money back. [Edit: I'm not hip to parties, but this strikes me as strange, charging for a party, what kind of party was this?]

Then, the gunfire started.

An Eden Prairie teen has been charged in a shooting at a Lakeville trailer home Sunday that injured four partygoers, and two men have been charged with helping him conceal a semiautomatic pistol as they drove him away.

The shooting allegedly took place after the gunman and his friends were refused a refund on their entry fee at a house party, which they had left because of the lack of women.

The Dakota County attorney’s office Wednesday charged Mohamed Yusef Hussein, 16, with four counts of second-degree assault. County Attorney James Backstrom said he filed a court motion to have Hussein certified to stand trial as an adult because of the seriousness of the crime.

Jibril Farah Mohamed, 18, of Burnsville, and Mohamud Ahmed Hassan, 19, of Minneapolis, were both charged with aiding an offender, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

There are lots of details and turns out one of these guys may be implicated in shootings in the Somali neighborhood of Cedar-Riverside, the same neighborhood where the youths have disappeared from and returned to Somalia to become jihadists.

Hassan is wanted in Hennepin County in connection with the shooting of two men Aug. 14 in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis. The victims survived and were able to identify Hassan and three other suspects from a photo lineup, according to charges in that case.

* The US State Department has admitted over 80,000 Somalis to the US in 25 years, here.
