Whenever liberals can’t argue on the merits- they resort to personal attacks. The mere mention of Rush’s name in liberal circles invokes comments about his pill popping. I find this a bit surprising because I would think pill popping would be a resume enhancement with liberals.

Is it not the left that is always seeking to expand rehabilitation facilities? Rush did rehab, and he is drug-free. Isn’t that a victory ideologically for the rehabilitation theme?

What I detect from Rush Limbaugh when it comes to Sarah Palin is that he wouldn’t blame her one bit if she retreated into a shell in Alaska and never came out of it again, because of how the media has treated her and her family.
You could tell that he didn’t want to go out on limb for either Sanford or Palin because of being burned last time when he touted Jindal so highly two days before he bombed in delivering the rebuttal to Obama’s SOTU.

Not all that wealth in New York is tied directly to New York.
For instance, people with a product like Rush’s – a radio show – all he needs is access to the airwaves. There’s nothing germane to New York that compells him to be there to access those radio waves. Or the internet.
Wealthy people tied to factories and production facilities would have a harder time moving elsewhere, but people with businesses that are not by nature tied to a germane feature of New York can probably find it much cheaper just to move somewhere else and relocate their business.
Somebody like actress Jennifer Connelly, who is an actress that just bought a $10,000,000 house last year on the Gold Coast with her husband (and likely saw it’s value plummet)- there’s nothing about acting or modeling that ties her to the New York area. Looking at the new taxes coming lots of families that make their money in industries that are mobile will just decide to leave.
