As with the John Kerry plan, America will be forced to defend itself with straws and spitballs.

As with any military defense program they tend to cost some bucks so that the companies providing them can capitalize on their investment(yes, I know a bad word in the age of Obama) so their share holders can recieve dividends.

If Lieberman really wants to make an impression, he should demand Obama produce his personal records.

On the day The One left to grovel in Europe, the stock market started began to show some modest gains. All the while He was gone, the market was up and holding, causing the talking heads to hint at the arrival of Recovery.

Fast forward to this morning. Within hours of reports of His departure from Turkey, the markets plummeted.

Maybe He should move His office to Constantinople to help speed Recovery.

That answer cannot be “nothing”.

Rahm Emanuel gave you the answer (to paraphrase): “Never let a crisis go to waste”.

I’m not suggesting that they want an attack on America. But if one does happen, they’ll be wetting their pants with joy for the opportunities presented to them. They have Booosh to blame if it happens, after all.

You may feel it’s harsh to think that, but remember this is the side that gleefully cheered on our enemies while denegrating our warriors as murderers and rapists. We readily opine how it seems this administration lives in a lala-land where the bin Ladens of the worlds just want a hug and handful of daisies. We regularly opine that the far left has no value for life. So why would it be far fetched to think they’d see the trade-off of lives for more power, especially when they can pin it on someone else?

I saw an article today that seemed to be promoting the idea that Gates was fully specializing our military for counterinsurgency, scrapping all of the conventional war programs (superiority fighters, warships, etc) to put money into counterinsurgency (strike fighters, patrol ships, urban combat troups, etc.).
That makes me nervous. Combine that with the push to scrap our nuclear deterrent, and we get to the point where some countries might consider challenging us militarily.

This REALLY worries me…

The only time you need counter insuegency forces is when yo are either a Foreign Occupier… or have a domestic insurection.

Changing the Role of the US Armed Forces from big battle defense, to counter insurgency, through emphasis on training and on weapon system procurement tells me they forsee a LONG term need for these ops…

But again, you only need these types of Anti Insurgency ops when there is an insurection… or to put down violence in during a foreign occupation.

I am anxious for April 15th. I’m hoping Congress realizes that this large amount of protesters have had enough. The tea parties are non partisan, Democrats and Republicans are coming out in full force. The current Congress should realize then that their jobs are in jeopardy.
