You DO realize that Tina Fey’s comment was then (purposefully?) misunderstood to be something that Gov. Palin said.

The same thing with the book burning (which evolved from a pretty standard general inquiry about whether books COULD be removed if found to be objectionable).

The same thing with dinosaurs living with cavemen (which evolved from a comment she made about her belief that intelligent design should be discussed IF brought up by a student).

I think all of these could pretty well be described as “smears.”

Frankly, I found Obama’s books a bit too junior highish. Ditto for his detractor’s books.

They were yawns, too.

As noted earlier, AP has mentioned not to use certain terms for the Alaska Gov. He did throw out one or two warnings in this thread. Haven’t rechecked the earlier 1,000+ thread to see if he commented there.

As far as him reading “the last few pages” of this thread, I find it… suspicious… that he would be unaware of what is happening on the most active part of his website.

Yes, he’s aware of this thread and specifically this page.

I can understand if he doesn’t read all or most of the comments immediately. However, the pattern of “throw out the Palin chum and watch the sharks trolls show up” is pretty well established by now. He has to know the edge of the envelope will be pushed in these threads.

He realizes that in order for the attacks on Palin to remain, which is what he wants despite his phony threats of banning, he’s going to have allow the same on First Lady FatAss. He also threw up one positive post on Palin to counter the increasing grumbling about the hypocrisy.

Unless he’s busy with all the 500+ comment threads on other topics? /sarc
