Tyra Banks: Let’s applaud the Johnstons for talking trash about the Palins for free

posted at 4:25 pm on April 6, 2009 by Allahpundit

I thought they were low-rent in taking money from a tabloid talk show to dish about the other half of little Tripp’s family, but now that I know they were doing it gratis, for the sheer sport of it, well, that changes everything.

The media’s having a grand old time snickering about this story, as they’ll continue to do with anything that plays into their narrative of Palin being the center of some sort of freak show (see, e.g., the turkey clip they all love so much). You’d think the Johnstons would be sensitive enough to that, at least, to sit with a respectable journalist if they were intent on stooping to a tell-all. Instead they went with the trashiest venue they could find this side of Springer. What happened? Was “Maury” all booked up?

Word today from the Washingtonian is that Sarahcuda and Bristol may do some dishing of their own, albeit on more useful subjects. Click the image to watch.

Is every Troll registered going to show up to try to defeat the popularity of Sarah Palin? Even those who have been banned under other names?

Gov. Palin must be quite a threat for all the opposition to be so agitated.

kingsjester on April 6, 2009 at 5:52 PM

Think about it, what have they had an opportunity to “crow” about…they have a leader who can’t fill a cabinet with honest people…he has just about broken every campaign promise besides the “I will defend the right to kill a baby” promise…the budget deficit, which was a record, has been eclipsed in just 60 days, by 3 times…the recession is not as bad as the one in 1980′s, and no gov. spending was needed to pull us out…the liberals must find something, so an out of wedlock child is just as good as a multi-trillion dollar spending spree…what minds these liberals have.
Priorities…out of wed lock children…radio talk show hosts…late night TV comedians…NCAA basketball picks…and learning to speak Danish.

So, my beloved Palintologist friends,

Is SP going to still go for the abstinent vote now that we know that she enabled her own children to shack up in her house.

I dont think we shall be hearing abstinence sermons from Ms. Palin anymore.

Jim Treacher on April 6, 2009 at 5:59 PM

Really? Must be one of those gay-marriage-is-OK kinda church.

Actually, it’s not.

Do you believe it is OK for unmarried people to live together, as man and wife, prior to marriage?

I’d rather them not, but there are bigger issues at stake than whether two people in a committed, loving relationship are living together.

The Bible certainly teaches that you shouldnt.

Neither does the Bible teach that one should become an internet troll who takes joy in someone else’s trouble.

You seem to have missed that part about loving your neighbor (even if they live in Alaska!)

Sarah Palin SAYS she doesnt believe it is OK.

But what Sarah Palin SAYS and how she has lived her life is not connecte.

Life is messy and things don’t always turn out like we wish.

Given a choice between my son being homeless and “shacking up” in my home…

…I’d pick “shacking up” in my home.

And it really wouldn’t take more than half a second to come to that conclusion.

Its called hypocrisy, reverend. Look it up.

It was unfortunate that Sarah Palin’s supporters rushed to crown her the New Protestant Pope during the campaign. Having 5 kids does not give you any increased moral value. You seem to be projecting. As I already said, Mary and Joseph lived together before being married. It was actually common in those days for people who were engaged to live together before marrying.

That’s why it wasn’t a scandal for Mary to be pregnant and only would have been if Joseph had left her like her originally planned.

This isn’t rocket science.

Hey Not2bright, you are the one with the Bible passages. Is it OK for two people to live together in sin, living together as man and wife..prior to marriage?

Should a parent enable that type of behavior?

Should a politician that goes for the “abstinence vote” enable that kind of behavior?

I know you wont answer….because you are weak and you dont REALLY believe in the Bible like I do. You just follow the Bible when its conVENient.

The Wall on April 6, 2009 at 5:57 PM

This post shows you how little you know about someone…first your not2bright has been used a dozen times in the past couple of years, always by someone limited in thought.
Aren’t you the one who claimed you supported Palin, but when I asked you to confirm your supportive posts you came back with the ever so clever “bite me”…translated means you were lying, I caught you, and you were embarrassed.
Now for some real religion, which you won’t like and won’t understand.
It is wrong to enable sin, what a stupid question (but then you did ask it).
Why would you think I only state the bible when it is convenient? The Bible isn’t “convenient” not having a biblical or spiritual standard or goal is convenient.
You guys have it made because you create your own standard so you can criticize us when we fall short of an actual standard. If you make an “error” in life, you just say, “that’s how we roll”.
We have to answer to you pundits who sit on the sidelines waiting for someone to make a mistake (what a miserable life that is), and we have to answer to our families, our church and our God.
Which is interesting, since you guys partake in all that the faithful have created, yet you resent what has been given to you, like most spoiled children.
You are the ones that have it easy…you have no standards.

I have standards..and I live them.

I believe hypocrisy is wrong.

The Wall on April 6, 2009 at 6:13 PM

Well then you won’t mind re-posting some of those posts you claimed about supporting Palin at the beginning.
Oh, I guess those kind of lies are okay by your standards.
Your standards, and you won’t understand this, can shift by however you feel.
The faithful standards are there, written, and they are our goal to achieve them, knowing we will fall short.
But you, why you reach everyone of your standards, you just stated it, but then you just lower the bar.
BTW, better learn what hypocrite means…Idi Amin was not a hypocrite, Hussein was not a hypocrite, they both lived up to their goals, and did what they said they were going to do.
It always amuses me when a non-believer starts trying to quote Jesus…they just don’t quite get it or understand it. Imagine, quoting someone they don’t believe in, what a strange debate technique.

But then quoting any bible passages to people like you just leads me to understand Matthew 7:6 all the better. Thanks

right2bright on April 6, 2009 at 6:30 PM

Lets just end this. It doesnt matter what Palin teaches,it doesnt matter what she does in regards to her faith. It is Palins faith, that is for God to judge what is right and wrong, what is forgiven and soforth. To try to sit in judgement of her personal relationship with God or how she has dealt with her faith and the issues of her children-this is not our place to judge and anyone who tries is full of themselves or dishonest about their own beliefs. Beat me up if you must for my opinion, its ok,I will forgive you.

canditaylor68 on April 6, 2009 at 6:31 PM

The smart trolls change tactics once they’ve been busted. The Wall is clearly not very smart.

BadgerHawk on April 6, 2009 at 6:27 PM

He’s probably googling scripture quotes that he’ll then use out of context without any understanding of what he’s quoting.

TimeTraveler on April 6, 2009 at 6:22 PM

The wall just throws out statements, and never backs them up.
He was stating that he was all for Palin when she first started running, but when asked to show the posts…he went off his rocker, his response to me “bite me”.
He just states what he wants, and has no standards of honesty or intellect…he just posts what he “feels”. A noble liberal.

right2bright on April 6, 2009 at 6:34 PM

I think if we just turn the thread into a symposium of the futility of Mitt Romney running in 2012 it would be a good idea.

Half these trolls are really Romney supporters trying their level best to make sure we launch the good ship Democrat Lite II with their Mitt as captain, replacing John McCain’s sunken ship of 2008.

Let’s turn the tables and just have fun with them. Bash Mitt and they will go absolutely apeshit.

manofaiki on April 6, 2009 at 6:34 PM

I’d have no reason to. I wouldn’t have believed Mary either without proof.

Obviously you don’t believe Christians have that proof, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t there, or that believing Jesus has no biological father is somehow more difficult than believing God exists.

Technically I could say the same thing word for word and would not contradict my position, if we want to get into semantics.

LevStrauss on April 6, 2009 at 6:35 PM

You MUST be joking. I have more biblical understanding in my pinky than you have in your entire body:

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither FORNICATORS, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor effiminate (sorry Edwards), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Well said.

I would also add that no one here knows EXACTLY what was taught or NOT taught in the Palin household.

Nor do we know that exact timeline and circumstances that lead to Levi moving in.

As any real parent (as opposed to “internet” parents who don’t actually have any kids, but like to pontificate and judge everyone else) knows…

…kids are human beings and not only make mistakes, but make choices counter to what they’ve been taught.

As a parent you can’t stop your child from making bad choices…

…but you can love them and help them get their lives back on track.

Wall, and the rest of you trolls. I do not wish to engage in a religious pharaseeic discussion of who is holier than Sarah Palin. I notice in yur religious diatribes that you all attribute lots of words and actions to God. I will note that if it weren’t for sinners, we wouldn’t need churches.

I live in the buckle of the bible belt. I hear this tripe every day and have learned to ignore it. However, there is one thing that the Holy Catholic church will tell you: The only unforgivable sin is to attribute words and actions to God that are not his. If you REALLY believe, you better be very careful what you attribute to God.
