If people choose to turn a blind eye to govn’t contingency plans and how they might play out, that’s their choice I suppose. Me – I don’t trust these clowns in DC as far as I can throw them – and combined with the all consuming plan of govn’t is for the continuance of control and more power, I have my suspicians that we’re not getting the ‘whole’ story from Beck and others. Does it make me want to dig a hole in the back yard and pour some concrete? No, but it does prod me toward self-sufficiency in a way that I will hopefully NEVER need to wait in line for the government’s ‘assistance’ in a time of natural disaster or otherwise.

I think that, given the loss of their federal orders, it may already be too late for the Americans to save themselves from tyranny. Only if they can somehow manage to return to federal orders do I think the Americans will be able to save themselves from despotic and dynastic rulers. But it’s not clear whether it’s possible for the Americans to stop agitating about the issue of the day, and focus steadily on the issue of the last hundred years.

Remember she wanted to test Congress for their “Americanism”???

Gosh, I can’t imagine why Michele Bachman (who was speaking figuratively) would entertain these ideas – what with the indoctrination which already goes on in the public schools, his work with Bill Ayers, the examples of Camp Obama and Public Allies, Obama’s own campaign literature which talks about giving money to schools on the condition that they integrate service with learning, Rahm Emanuel’s bootcamps, Obama’s speeches on universal service corps, his desire to emulate South Korea’s nightmarish education model, and proposals for Public Service Academies. Oh, and did I mention ACORN? Why she must be a kook!

BTW, I hope you are taking notice of how the Left are singling her out for ridicule (like Palin). As an articulate, attractive, fiercely patriotic foster mom she is a threat to them and thus has a huge target on her back. If only they could muster as much animosity for Iran and North Korea.

I am so sick and tired of people making Michelle Bachmann’s words anything but what she intended. She uses hyperbole a lot and is spot on this reference, Allah. If you are so naive that you wouldn’t think the leftists would use this program that is referenced as a chance to mold attitudes, you haven’t really understood Rules for Radicals, have you? Kudos to MNDave. Allah you cheap shotted Bachmann and she didn’t deserve it, then you linked to a GEORGE SOROS funded site MN Independent, you nut. Like there is any credibility there? I listened to the Jason Lewis radio show in real time when Bachmann was on, and I didn’t run around crying conspiracy theory like you’re doing. Jeez, she is one of the only sane, reliable conservatives in the House, the Left hates her, and now we have Hot Air dissing her.

She’s a damn tax lawyer with more brains than the entire blogger cast at MN Independent and their readers, and I’m including Allahdummy in that since he appears to be a reader. Ugh.

Can anyone say 100% that the Feds haven’t had a contingency plan for such things?

Years ago we learned about the thousands of C-rations stored at (or near, can’t remember) D.C. in case of a national emergency, and later on the secret underground facility in West Virginia for government leaders to evacuate to. Nuclear holocaust? Revolution? Invasion? All of the above?

It would only be prudent for D.C. to have a plan for a military coup, revolution, insurgency, etc., and is not beyond the realm of possibility at all.

Also, Beck has had to admit recently that those who have been warning about the OWG weren’t so full of it after all. If that’s the case, then why wouldn’t they seek to round up those who might interfere?
